Kady is very thorough, patient, and helpful throughout the process, even helping me with scheduling an appointment for Sissy to get fixed when it was time. You can absolutely tell that the rescues are very loved, safe, and well taken care of. The bonus for me is that the relationship and advice doesn't end once I take our baby home. Kady has been there for me whenever I've had questions or just checked in to see how things are going. I believe in and am very grateful to Kady and PLMR!! When your only competition is literally FREE cats on the side of the road, you need to think long and hard about how difficult you're making it for clients to adopt. As soon as we walked in, what can only be described as a "matriarch" asked us "Are you guys 18?" (we were in our mid to early 30's at the time). After that, we were bombarded with really obnoxious questions about our living situation and--I kid you not-- "What would you do if you got a divorce?" (as if that was ANY of Valley Cat's business...). Oh my gosh, the PAPERWORK. We were given several multicolored "how to take care of cats" "resources" that look like they were hosted by an holistic medicine guru's clinic. It was wild. I'm pretty sure the leader was anti-vax...which is interesting since you're grouping HERDS of cats together in close quarters. Then they try to pressure you to sign unenforceable agreements a la "You agree to send this cat back to us if things don't work out" (Ahem, good luck with that.), "You're part of the Valley Cats Family!! We'll schedule some visits to see how things are working out" (HECK no you won't.) Finally, one of the least enjoyable experiences was the HOME VISIT. See my point above: you have literally DOZENS of places in the area that would be happy to adopt out a cat, sight-unseen. You require The Matriarch to tour our house to see if we would be good cat parents (hint: we literally already have a cat from Los Angeles...which we got from the LITERAL STREETS FOR FREE and has been living a luxurious life for about a decade now)... Do better. Drop the home visit requirement, stop spamming your clients with obnoxious paperwork that they can literally Google themselves, stop with the probing questions and drop the fake unenforceable paperwork. Your job is to ensure pets are sent to safe, secure homes...not treat your clients like they don't have half a brain to take care of one of the most widely-available animals in the nation...

Turns out the kitty had a broken pelvis that did not heal correctly. When I talked to the lady who runs the facility she admitted knowing about the health condition. It was never disclosed to me. When I returned the cat, the lady who runs the facility had gathered all her employees around her in a show of intimidation. I should have sued them as I was out the $1,000. I told her she should not let this cat go again without full disclosure. Please consider avoiding this facility or at least ask if there are any health conditions you should be aware of before taking your forever cat home.

The worst experience I've had at a vet…read more I took my 18 month old German Shepherd husky mix in for a little rashiness on her nose that wasn't getting better for two weeks, as well as her eyes started to have a little bit of discharge. I showed up with all of her medical documents including allergy testing that we've had done, which was not reviewed by the doctor at all. My dog has mild all allergies and we've been testing out different supplements. She scratches at her coat occasionally but there is no sign of sores, hives, or anything extreme. It's just a mild allergy. The vet walked in and after two minutes prescribed her the prescription allergy med Apoquel. Without discussing the price with me or how consistently she would have to be on it. $103 a month. And then when I went to check out they said OK your total is $271. Not even offering me an itemized list? I started to ask if there were other options to which they began a marketing pitch for Apoquel. Not offering any supplement or diet alternatives, or listening that Zyrtec works for her allergies. I just didn't know it was allergies causing the symptoms otherwise I would have administered Zyrtec at home. Sorry I'm just simply not putting my young, healthy dog on a daily medication for a mild itch. And then they charge a $23 "new client set up fee"... huh? Well I won't be returning so don't bother setting me up...

I was allowed to be with my Sasha until she passed, and I was allowed to stay with her for a little while after (so I could be sure that her spirit attached to me). My cat came to me in a dream that night and she is happy, she is with me. Thank you Dr. Madrazo and all the staff for your support. This hospital is very nice. She had a serious infection and I couldn't wait that long, so I left and made an appointment with a local vet that had vacancy. Well, time had passed and I thought I would give Dr. Ron's another chance. When I called to make an appointment, I was told that there was "no service" on my account, because I gave a "negative" yelp review!!!!! I'm not one to normally complain, but I felt I was wronged and wanted to share my experience. Warning, if you complain, Dr. Ron's will deny your pet service!!!!!! So, here's five stars!!!!!! I didn't realize going to the vet these days is like going to a car dealership. I sought out Dr…read more Ron's services to get a quote on a spay for my kitten, but because they could not give an estimate over the phone I scheduled for a $92 initial appointment. I did think that was quite the cash grab, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After the initial, the quote I received was around $900 for spay, which I thought was outlandish and simply decided to not return. (Spoiler: I was able to schedule elsewhere for TWO of my kittens for under $600) Anyway, it gets worse. Upon receiving a negative internal review from me, they called me to let me know that they happened to be running a promotion on spays. They also let me know there were some procedures they could probably take off to reduce the price (eg nail clipping). Convenient right? I let them know I already scheduled elsewhere, but I was potentially interested in a neuter. This is where it gets even more interesting. Naturally, they jumped on that possibility and "noticed" I didn't get the discounted initial appointment price for my first kitten because apparently I was supposed to mention she was a new patient. You mean I had to see on your website ahead of time and request the discount, rather than just give it to me because it's obvious it would be a first appointment? Ridiculous. But guess what? They were somehow willing to produce a quote for the neuter despite not having an initial appointment, like they required before for the spay. Not to worry, I went elsewhere, to an actual vet who specializes in cats (not a surgery center/spay neuter clinic) and paid around a quarter of the price for both of my kittens who are happy, healthy, and recovering nicely. TLDR: They're overcharging over here.
