Let's be honest. No one likes to do laundry... the whole process, up to and including folding and putting away, right? With that said, I took what I thought were four loads of laundry here just the other day (turns out they were two loads here). I read the Yelp reviews and was pretty stoked about this place. To my amazement, the very large space was filled with extraordinarily large washing machines and dryers! The dryers were so large it was like a tunnel in one of those children indoor play areas!! I want to thank the very helpful & happy attendant Myra for making my virgin trip here so easy. She directed me in every direction, including how to get the card, which washers & dryers were for two loads, four loads, 6 loads and she gave me the Wi-Fi password. Because I was unable to get on their Wi-Fi, Myra tried to help me, but she couldn't do it either. She told me sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but no worries, because the highly efficient washing machines were super quick (like 28 minutes) and the dryers were 10 minutes each (needed 20 minutes to actually dry everything), so I would not have had much time on my laptop anyway. One negative note: I use free & clear laundry detergent, and sadly, when the laundry was done, it highly smelled like all the laundry detergents that most people use! It would be so cool if they would offer a dedicated washing machine AND dryer (or two) for those of us that don't use regular detergent or dryer sheets, like some laundry places do!! I will approach them about this because I would really like to go again! Again, no one likes to do laundry, but since it is a necessary part of our lives, you might as well do it here! read more

Our washer broke mid cycle and we had the inconvenience of a heavy, wet, and soapy load of clothes. Finding Simi Valley Laundry Center was a saving grace and then having support from Angela was a GIFT! When our clothes dripped all over the floor I wanted to clean it up and she was simply delightful and helpful both with providing a towel and doing it herself with a smile. She also tried to save us money by sharing that we didn't really need the huge machine and giving us information on all the options available. We will be back - hopefully not because our machine breaks but to handle large bulky items. read more

clean, safe and all the machines are modern and very well kept. Works on a card that you put money on. You can use cash or credit cards and it's easy to break $20 bill if you need to. They also will clean and fold your laundry for an extra charge. Highly recommended! read more

Definitely a great laundromat! Needed a place to do laundry since the place I usually go to was closed due to the power outages; and I was so thrilled to know that this place was open. It's a pretty good size place with lots of available machines. The attendant working there was very helpful and assisted me in getting my free laundry card, since they don't take quarters there. It's a super easy system and really convenient if you don't always carry around quarters. Will definitely be coming back! read more

There isn't another laundromat that compares to the Simi Valley Laundry Center in Ventura County. When my sister was ill I brought her laundry here at her suggestion and was very impressed with the large area, ease of distancing, cleanliness and no coins needed as cards are loaded with credit to use. I want to give JAVI a big shout out for his outstanding and attentive service throughout my return visit today. I drove here from Camarillo to wash my blankets, linens and bulky items before I move next week as I have only nightmare stories about the laundromats in Camarillo. Came here to do laundry because I'm on an extended work trip. Very nice facility, and it's located in a very nice area. I have been to several laundromats that are nice, but once you step outside it's a completely different feel and that's not the case here. Came in on a Monday morning and there were several washers and dryers open. Prices are fair, signage is posted everywhere with helpful instructions. Definitely will be coming here again read more

It's very simple. I go out of my way just to do my laumdry here. Between where I live and Simi Valley Laundry there must be at least 10 other laundry mats. And NONE, zero, will ever get my business again. Here's why. 1. The place is super clean. I mean it's almosy restaurant level clean. And it would pass food inspections if not for some customers that the staff have to clean ul after. 2. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. One time a machine took my card and then would reaet without doing the load. The lady came over entered some code, inserted my card and voila! my money was returned AND my load began to wash. 3. The Laundry Card. I hate, REALLY hate carrying cash on me. And having to either save up a bunch of quarters or have the right amount of cash on me is terribly inconvenient. Instead Simi Valley Laundry uses a card. You just reload it with your Credit/Debit card OR cash. And now instead of all those quartera, you have a card in your wallet. 4. The cost. You would think a place this size and with the number of machines would be expensive, and you would be wrong!! This pkace is very competitive with most of the other laundmats. 5. The machines. The shear number and variety of machines is amazing. I have NEVER had to wait for the size of machine I wanted. I can put it this was, Cowboy Nation stopped by and there were still enough machines for the staff to do their drop off customer's laundry AND walk-in customers got their loads washed as well. Simi Valley laundry also has a single day drop off service as well as other conveniences listed in their ad. I can't tell you anything about thise. But wverything else I mentioned is 100% too notch. This is a nice and big laundry facility that's well maintained and very clean. This location also includes a laundry service that I've actually never used and a water store which is AWESOME! The water is very good, purified, and is 75 cents for 5 gallons! The Laundry Center works on refillable cards that you can load via debit, credit, or cash. This is how you pay for the washers, dryers, and water machines. This is my go to spot for items I cannot wash at home and for refilling my 5 gallon water bottles. read more

I haven't gone to a laundramat in over 10 years, but due to the condo above mine being occupied by two MORONS, my condo was flooded and was unable to use my washer and dryer. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful. She walked me through the whole process, and I was able to do EIGHT LOADS of laundry in just one machine!!! Then dried all 8 loads in one machine as well!! The grand total was $10.99 to do all 8 loads and only took about an hour and a half including folding the laundry afterwards. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who has dumb upstairs neighbors who flood their condo or appartment! ;-) read more

Yesterday I decided to treat myself and have my laundry done for me at Simi Valley Laundry Center. I did not expect it to be done until the next day, as it was around 3 PM when I dropped it off with a VERY nice young lady. Much to my surprise she called me in a couple of hours and said that it was ready for pick up. Holy Cow! The laundry was done to perfection, expertly folded and shirts on hangers. The young man who checked me out was also super helpful, offering to get me a cart and help me out. This facility is always clean and always staffed by an attendant who is willing to assist in any way possible. My highest compliments, though, to the two young people who helped me yesterday. They were extremely professional and genuinely interested in making me happy. And I am. A little treat for myself turn my day around thanks to two awesome staff members. read more

DO NOT USE THEIR FLUFF AND FOLD SERVICE. THEY ARE CARELESS AND WILL COST YOU HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN REPLACEMENT CLOTHES!!! Decided to give the fluff and fold service a try at the Simi Valley Laundry Center. Brought in all of my shirts and spoke to the attendant that was working the counter informing her that I'm a tall guy (6'4) and i can't have my clothes shrunken, and asked what she recommended was the best way to go about washing them to prevent shrinking. She assured me that my clothes would not shrink and took all of my laundry. I picked up my clothes this afternoon and every one of my shirts shrunk by a considerable amount. I wear large and all of my shirts fit like a medium now. This careless business ruined my entire wardrobe of shirts. I 100% will not be returning and will spread the word of how careless they are. read more

After moving cross country and waiting for all my furniture and appliances to arrive, I needed to do laundry badly. I went to a different laundromat that was closer to my house, but almost every machine was out of order, there was rust inside the working ones, and the place looked terrible. I decided to try Simi Valley Laundry Center. What a difference!! It was clean, up to date machines and very convenient. Is is so hard for them to put pricing on the machines? $2.25 for a medium washer is high. 50¢ per ten minutes on the dryers is also a rip. When it's hot, sometimes the AC is on. Sometimes not. Some of the employees will happily turn it on, others won't. New development: the employees are now allowed to blast their music on a portable speaker throughout the laundromat. There is no sense of volume other than all the way up and an obvious preference of music by the DJ instead of something general of a wide variation that everyone can enjoy. Not sure if they owner is aware but I've also heard other customers complain about the same thing while in here. Besides those two "complaints", its a wonderful location that I enjoy using. Clean for the most part, machines are rarely down, and I love the money cards. No need to hassle with cash. read more

I have terrible washer/dryer set at my apartment so I've been going to different laundromat until I finally found the this laundromat. The first time I went,Angela was kind enough to show me around, explain me how everything works. If you run into an issue, she'll come right away and fix it as she explains me what happened. I only come when she's there otherwise the place isn't really clean.. always on her feet doing something! Props! read more

I had a round braided rag rug that was just a little too big for my own washing machine at home. I took it there and they washed it for me for under $20. The staff was super nice and helpful and my rug was cleaned and ready for pick up the next day. I absolutely would go back and I recommend this very clean establishment 100%. read more

I was on a road trip through Simi Valley and stopped here early the morning of 12/18/15. It's a little hard to see from the road, tucked into a shopping center, but it's a very good place to get your washing completed quickly. First you purchase a "money" card. So estimate very closely how much you need. No refunds. Use the card in the washer and dryer. No coins, which is good if you estimate correctly. This is a big, well lit store. Plenty of everything. I washed and dried two loads of clothes in 1 hour. All the machines appeared reasonably new. The staff was helpful and courteous. My washer died, showed up at 10pm (they close at 11pm) to wash a load of laundry for my upcoming trip tomorrow. I was looking at the machines and noticed they all said Washer Unavailable. I was approached by an employee and was told the last wash is at 9pm (even though they close at 11) and all the machines turn off after that. I asked why they close at 11pm if no one can wash past 9pm and was told that's how the machines work. Horrible first impression and will take my business somewhere else. read more

Out of every single laundromat Ive been to in simi, thousand oaks, and moorpark... this is by far my favorite! Its big, always so clean. The people are nice. The TV's are always playing something enjoyable. Its temperature controlled and have so much folding space on the counters. Tons of easily accesible carts. I give my highest recommendation to this place :) I live with a lot of roommates & doing laundry can be a chore. This place makes something that's a chore for me, into a nice break from my life where i can sit for an hour and relax while my clothes are being washed. read more

Recognizing these are uncertain times, Angela of SM Laundry Center just "gets it!' Being new to the area, I have utilized this Laundry center now twice. In both instances, I found Angela'a customer service skills to be outstanding (she took time out of her schedule to show me how to load a laundry card, and how to add minutes to the dryer). During both visits, Angela divided her time betw. making sure the center is absolutely spotless and clean (this is the 1st thing you notice when you enter the center), assisting customers on the floor, as well as managing the work load behind the counter. Angela is personable and professional, and she understands that flawless customer service is what separates the top performers from the mediocre. What a gem!! I was very happy with the customer service! Jennifer was very sweet, helpful and informative. I am a senior with no children or grandchildren so the machines are non coin and everything is run digitally! I did need help and Jennifer was most gracious. I have not used a public laundry in over 30 years and suffice to say I was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of machines and quite a variety of sizes depending on your need. I had an emergency today and was in and out in no time. But many thanks to Jennifer and the other young lady who was working today too. I did not get the other gals name but I asked her a few questions and she was polite and friendly too! All in all a good experience. Not 5 stars because I thought it could have been a bit cleaner.....but I wouldn't hesitate to come back! read more
