Recognizing these are uncertain times, Angela of SM Laundry Center just "gets it!' Being new to the area, I have utilized this Laundry center now twice. In both instances, I found Angela'a customer service skills to be outstanding (she took time out of her schedule to show me how to load a laundry card, and how to add minutes to the dryer). During both visits, Angela divided her time betw. making sure the center is absolutely spotless and clean (this is the 1st thing you notice when you enter the center), assisting customers on the floor, as well as managing the work load behind the counter. I was very happy with the customer service! Jennifer was very sweet, helpful and informative. I am a senior with no children or grandchildren so the machines are non coin and everything is run digitally! I did need help and Jennifer was most gracious. I have not used a public laundry in over 30 years and suffice to say I was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of machines and quite a variety of sizes depending on your need. I had an emergency today and was in and out in no time. But many thanks to Jennifer and the other young lady who was working today too. I did not get the other gals name but I asked her a few questions and she was polite and friendly too! All in all a good experience. The clerk behind the counter aggressively hit the printed coupon with his finger repeatedly while raising his voice at my husband, and my husband never yelled at the clerk. He was simply raising his voice just like the clerk was. Like I said, it only takes one bad experience to make people not want to go back. I hope this business fails. Ok so when I really postpone doing the laundry I pile it in the car and then after work force myself to take it to a laundromat. I live in a complex where there are 33 apartments and 2 washer/dryers and about 48 little old ladies living with their kids, so someone is always using these machines. Usually I hang out at the nice little place in Northridge on Reseda but I googled Simi Valley as I work out that way. Wow. I was already blown away by their website describing new machines, tvs and attendants with no need for Quarters... Imagine. This place is pretty close to Valley Produce and it is just adjacent to Gold's Gym. When you walk in it is amazing how sparkling clean and huge the 8 load machines are. Yes, if you don't have to separate your colors, you can do all your wash in a gigantic outer space washer, which is new, and takes 28 minutes. Then you waltz on over to the dryer. When the card (it is a mechanized card system like a subway card) is read by the dryer it only gave me 10 minutes. So I added $$ on my card thinking I had used all my moolah to wash. The attendant, who is very helpful and walks newbies through the drill, told me that most dryer loads only take 10 min to dry. If it really needs more you can add with your card. Wow. So many things got so dry in this gargantuan dryer. I know what Cheryl is saying about keeping this dynamite place to ourselves but no longer will I be a procrastinator with laundry. Cable tv (4 big screens) give you the news via CNN and the Food Channel was one of them. Snack machines, clean water dispensers for gallons, and great places to sit down. Simi Valley Laundry Center I wish there were one like this in every neighborhood. You get $2 extra if you buy a $20 card. And I understand they have wifi too. read more

This is my usual laundry spot and I have a new found appreciation for this wonderful place after going to a terrible laundromat near my house for the first and only time. Simi Valley Laundry is a VERY clean establishment, the machines are extremely well maintained (compared to other places), and you have complimentary television and wifi (although the wifi doesn't always work). The reloadable laundry cards are also so much more convinient than quarters and makes doing your laundry simple and quick. The staff has always been friendly every time I go there which I really appreciate. Their prices are not bad since the overall experience is much nicer. WASHER is $3.99 for a big load and $1.99 for a smaller one, suggesting its for one person's laundry. I usually do all my colors in the big one, whites in a small one, and another small one for sox and boxers. About $8 but my clothes rarely come out looking faded and are always barely damp. (At the other place, my clothes were dripping when it finished). The DRYERS I use cost $0.40/10mins and it usually takes 30 mins on low heat for my shirts and stuff to be reasonably dry. But there are other larger dryers if needed. Also you get, I think, a $2 'bonus' when you load $20 onto your card at a time. Better than nothing! There are a few places to sit w tables. I've eaten lunch, studied, or watched TV while I wait for my clothes. Also if its your first time, go to the desk in the right when you walk in and there is usually an attendant who is happy to show you how everything works. I know I was a bit thrown off when I first saw they used cards. But 5 stars overall for going above and beyond the norm! read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. This review is for their fluff and fold service. Every Tuesday, my husband brings an overflowing bag of dirty laundry into work with him. Simi Valley Laundry picks up the bag from his office, does some sort of magic, and then every Thursday delivers back a bag of beautifully folded and sorted clean clothes. My husband walks in the front door with the bag, and it takes a few minutes to put a weeks worth of clothing away for a family of four. We have two young children, and the people who clean our clothes are seriously like magicians. Whatever food/paint/dirt is on the clothes just disappears when we get our clothes back. I have used many different laundry services over the past two decades (living in Manhattan it's a must), and these guys are the consumate professionals. read more

First time here attendant was very helpful on how to use the facility as other reviews state very clean and the price is is on point with other laundromats I have been to. Being able to use my card to fill the store card is a awesome no more quarters. Not to mention you load $20 on to it you get an extra two dollars for washing or drying. read more

The machines here do not wash well. If you add an item to a cycle you literally just started, it charges you the amount again!

I used to come here all the time and never had a problem with service. I did laundry late my last time here, got in at 8pm and probably didn't leave till about 10:40 ( they close at 11pm). I noticed at 10:30 I was the only one in the mat. The cleaning had been done; sweep, mop, etc. I felt bad because there was Jonathan the attendant with his wife and kid waiting at the front desk. So I asked " If I weren't here would you guys be closing early?" He replied " If you werent here my family and I would be at home comfortable on my couch!" I apologized because I felt bad but It also wasn't closing time for about 30 min. It was said in a rude, snooty tone and I didn't appreciate it. I waited for my clothes to get a little more dry and I grabbed my damp clothes out of the dryer didn't fold my last load and left. Over all the most rude person I have encountered in not only here but In customer service. read more

Quick and clean! The dryer in my house broke, so I was able to wash my clothes but I had to find somewhere else to dry them. This place was one of the closest to me and it had good reviews so I decided to check it out. Did not disappoint. Be aware that you have to get there before 9pm if you want to wash. We got there after 9, but we just had to dry, so we were okay. This was my first time at a laundry place so I was unsure about how everything worked. But the service was great! Selvin was working at the time and he was very helpful in explaining the process to us and guiding us on how much time we needed to dry the different loads and which machines were best suited to our needs. We would have been there for a lot longer, ending up with over dried clothes if not for his help. The machines are very effective so all the clothes dried quickly and we were done before we knew it! Used to be a great laundromat. I have been taking my clothes there for over 3 years. Used to be clean however the last couple of months it has been filthy. The previous gentleman that kept it clean did an immaculate job. Now I don't even want my clothes to touch the outer part of the washing machine because they are so disgusting. We are visiting from Ohio and wanted to have clean clothes to pack and take home. This is close to our hotel and WOW! Very clean, extremely helpful staff....it was a joy to do the laundry. If we had a place like this near my house I would definitely be a customer...washers were clean, HUGE and fast. For 15 bucks we had a week plus worth of laundry done for 4 people in about an hour... I don't frequent laundry mats but when I need one I choose this one. It's clean. Employees are nice. There are tables to sit at and enjoy a soda or do paperwork. The downside is once you put money on that card it's stuck there, make sure you only put what you need. read more

I have no idea why this place has high stars. It deserves only one star. Machines are way overpriced compared to most laundry mats. It took me three machines to find one working properly. And let's not even get started on the card loader money machine continuously says error where you put the card in the machine to deposit my cash or credit card. This place is a waste of money and time and aggravation. And let's not forget the clean comments, this place is not so clean you can eat off the floor, in fact it even looks like trash bag may have overflowed and left dust, dirt, trash particles/pieces and looks of chewed up (hopefully) "food" on the floor throughout the facility. I have a feeling the good stars and reviews are fudged my family and friends! So if you like a dirty place, with your choice of either overpriced washers or mini washers, and several broken machines or at least numerous error messages.... this place is great ! read more

I'm reluctant to do a review on this place for fear that too many people will start going there. :-) But I want them to stay in business! This place is awesome! Having gone to another laundry mat for over 8 years, this place is heaven. All the machines are brand new; varying sizes, all front loading. I was amazed the first time I took out a blanket and it was spun so well it was almost dry! The drying time is cut almost in half compared to my old laundry mat! Love love love the card system instead of having to use quarters or tokens! You get an extra $2 for every $20 you put on the card. And the carts are all brand new with wheels that won't fight you when you're trying to steer it. The place is really well laid out with ample counter space to fold your laundry. There is a restroom that cost $.25 to use. The room was spotless. I don't mind paying because I think charging will keep it clean. Having an attendant on site is always a plus. I will no longer dread going to do the laundry! read more
