Silver Bluff Animal Clinic - AFTER A PROPER VETS CARE AT VIAMONTE ANIMAL HOSPITAL

Our dog could be…read morevery particular, as she got nervous easily, but the folks here were always so kind to her and thorough with their examinations. Nobody ever wants to think about losing a pet, but last month my family and I said goodbye to our 16-year-old cuddle queen, and Silver Bluff Animal Clinic was with us every step of the way. They took so much time to explain our options and what was going on, and ultimately made one of the worst days easier to navigate as they treated us with empathy, caring, and patience. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and you can tell that they love what they do. Thank you to the team at Silver Bluff, you are truly wonderful.

This is how he handles himself...unprofessional at best!…read more August 23, 2025 Ted S. You should be ashamed of writing this review like this. You think that you are empowered by writing this in a public forum, but it is not going to get you anywhere. We are a reputable clinic with a reputable staff which care about animals and we care about our work we take a lot of pride in it But things go wrong and it's not always our fault you admitted that the other dog was playing and sutures break they're not indestructible. We had this discussion you left Happy. The wound was sutured closed in an appropriate manner that you feel that you were mistreated. We would've been happy to help if you would've come in with a nice attitude and we would've done our best to make sure the situation was dealt with. Instead, you and your mother felt That you should scream and you feel that if you scream the loudest it will get heard. Unfortunately, you ended up spending more money at another place which did nothing more than what we did initially. I wish you could see life a little bit with a happier lens instead of a bitter lens, thinking everyone is out to get you. Buddha is a very nice dog and I wish him the best. This is my response....the wound was never closed and i have the pictures to prove it. you sent the animal home with a gaping open wound, no collar and no antibiotics. lets just wait for the lawsuit to settle and see what objective observers think. it is you who needs to be ashamed...you are butchers not vets! Defensive denial is their go to!

Extremely Disappointed with the New Ownership…read more I took my dog to this vet on 04/28/2025 for a hematoma on her ear that needed to be drained. Under the previous owner, this clinic was run by a caring veterinarian who loved animals and provided affordable, no-nonsense care. The place wasn't fancy, but the vet was honest and never pushed unnecessary tests. Since the new owners took over and remodeled, everything has changed -- and not for the better. They now push expensive procedures right away. I was told my dog needed blood work, and with everything else, the total came to $1,285.75. They also recommended B12 supplements, liver support, and a small bag of special food, adding up to around $160 more. When I asked if there would be any other charges for the follow-up visit to remove her stitches, I was told it was included. But when I had someone take her for me because im at work, they claimed she needed antibiotics and an ear flush -- another $87 added on. I ended up buying the B12 and the liver support supplements on Amazon, and they work just fine. I hope this review helps others. Don't let them take your hard-earned money just because they upgraded the computers and painted the walls. The care should be about the animals, not about profit.

Be ware! Worst vet ever, i took my dog to emergency and was diagnosed with joint pain- back spasm ;…read moredays later i brought him here because my dog was still shaking, panting and limping. However Dr Cosme benitez said he was fat and all he needed was diet. Without even touching him or checking him ; i said at least check him, he is in pain in his back, he probably needs some tests. He said no , i wont do what you want me to do , i dont need to touch him. He denied to help. We ended up in panda animal clinic and xrays were done, he's receiving laser treatment and medication. This place should be shut down for medical malpractice .

I have been bringing my dog Rolly to this clinic since he was 2 months old. Every month, I…read morepurchased what I was told was Simparica Trio for heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. I trusted the clinic and followed the prevention plan exactly as instructed. Throughout every visit, I consistently felt pressured into unnecessary tests and procedures for a completely healthy puppy. Multiple times, additional charges and tests were added to the bill without proper explanation until I questioned the total and asked for them to be removed. Today, I came in only for the Bordetella vaccine and to pick up my dog's monthly Simparica Trio. I specifically asked not to be charged for a consultation since my dog has no symptoms, no health concerns, and only needed the vaccine and medication refill. At that point, I was informed that my dog had apparently only been receiving regular Simparica for the last couple of months -- NOT Simparica Trio -- despite the fact that I repeatedly requested and believed I was purchasing Simparica Trio the entire time. This is extremely serious because heartworm prevention requires continuous monthly protection. Nobody informed me there had been a change in medication, and now I am suddenly being told my dog needs a heartworm test before receiving the proper prevention again. I find this lack of communication unacceptable and deeply irresponsible. Pet owners trust veterinary clinics to clearly explain medications and ensure continuity of preventive care. If there was any change in what my dog was receiving, I should have been explicitly informed immediately -- not months later. I am very disappointed with the lack of transparency, the constant pressure for additional procedures, and the poor communication regarding my dog's preventive medication.

Terrible Experience - Do Not Bring Your Pets Here…read more I called VCA Knowles Central Animal Hospital because my dog was panting heavily and clearly in pain. They assured me they would take me right away. I arrived around 6:50 PM and waited about 10 minutes before being taken into a room. That's when I was told that this location is no longer a full hospital but an urgent care center that closes at 8 PM. They emphasized that they could still handle "all hospital services" as long as patients were seen before 8. I was left waiting in the exam room from 7:00 until 8:30 before the doctor finally came in. After a brief exam, she said my dog needed an X-ray--only to then admit their X-ray services were already closed. I was charged $120 for essentially nothing. The doctor promised medicine, but after another 20-minute wait, staff returned to say they had no medication on site and would instead call in a prescription to the CVS nearby. When I got to CVS, I discovered the prescription had been written incorrectly--in milliliters instead of milligrams--and the pharmacist could not fill it. CVS even tried calling the doctor, but no one answered. After over two hours, a wasted $120, and a sick dog who received zero actual care, I left frustrated and angry. This facility misrepresented what they could provide, wasted precious time, and showed a lack of professionalism and competence. My pet got absolutely no help. Avoid this place at all costs.
