AMAZING!! Looking for a new vet/doctor could be stressing, I guarantee you that. What I can also assure you is that choosing this vet office as your next place for your pet, will ease all your concerns and make the whole experience much easier. That was my experience :) The place itself is a new location located at one of the new constructions on NW 29th St in Wynwood. Besides the great service, outstanding care for your pet and excellent communication, there are other great add-ons that are much welcomed, such as validated parking, WiFi and beverages station (water and coffee - I was lucky enough to have sparkling water ). Results are emailed/texted to you right away. I was really impressed with the whole experience. 100% Recommended!!

See that little fridge, free beverages!

Easy, kind and informative Vet. Got an appointment right away. Super convenient. While this is a franchise, probably private equity driven, it seemed more reasonably priced. Although I always love supporting independent vets and am always impressed and thankful as vet school is more difficult then med school- think of how many systems they need to know. Also this location was VERY clean and calm. The female vet tech (was a Monday) was so sweet, patient and an angel - she has 3 dog rescues and many cats. Bless her heart!

Amazing doctor and staff, extremely clean . . . highly recommended!! They were super friendly and took the time to listen and to explain everything.

I had an incredible experience with the Vet technician Lizzy. She went above and beyond to explain things to me that no one had ever taken the time to clarify before. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine care for my pet were evident from the moment we walked in. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she's also incredibly sweet and made me feel completely at ease. Also we loved the DVM Stephanie Barrios, she is amazing too! My Blondie and I are so grateful for her care. Highly recommend the good vet at wynwood!

As a new cat mom to a rescue, the staff was so kind, knowledgeable, and flexible! I feel like we are in good hands when we step through those doors.

Maximus visiting GoodVets for the first time.

Of course, before writing this review, I made a formal complaint through DBPR who is supposed to investigate and provide licenses for these establishments. Hope they look into this. Anyway, we came to this establishment (VEG ER for Pets) to bring our dog that just had a small leg injury. Without even checking the pet, the dog was needled for IV and was applied different pain medicines without any consultation. Several procedures took place thereafter including X rays and so (again, without consultation). At this stage, no veterinary had yet even look at the dog's leg. A veterinary came to us after a while with a long list of procedures the dog was being subjected to, and that we had to approve and pay in advance in order to continue. Different doctors and nurses at the establishment explained to us many absurd things that could be happening to our dog from a massive internal bleeding, to spinal cord fracture just to name a few. They have not even examined the leg yet, and actually never did. Since we were reluctant to sign the approval for the procedures they wanted to carry out, they left us alone clearly knowing that we were nervous and worried about all the unfounded diagnosis they have shared with us (clearly meant to generate fear). We decided to take our dog and leave, not before after they made us pay them $600 without any clarity under what basis were they charging this. I can certainly probe that all the procedures this establishment wanted to carry out were unnecessary and were meant just to increase the bill. That same night we left VEG ER for Pets with our pet and went to another veterinary where our dog was cured and treated completely differently for the same injury. The list of procedures at this establishment is completely different. The doctor quickly cleaned and look at the wound upon arrival, no IV was necessary though they did administer some medicine and did a X Ray to ensure everything was OK. In contrast, the list of procedures from VEG includes so many items that were total unnecessary and unfounded. Below, just a few of the things that appeared in VEG's list: Laceration Repair E-collar Peripheral Catheter Penrose Drain Lactated Ringers And there were so many more blood tests and medicines that the list is 3 pages long, while in the other establishment is just bandage, some medicines, x rays and that is it. I have shared the two establishment's lists of procedures with DBPR's officers for the investigation.

The vet, Alexandra Conejos, said this was common and she had extensive experience removing them. After surgery, Louie couldn't urinate. He was lethargic and didn't seem well. We brought him back in, and Conejos dismissed our concerns, saying this was normal and he just needed fluids. After finally doing an xray to make sure everything was ok, she panicked as she told us she couldn't see his bladder and doesn't know what happened but that she would need to perform emergency surgery. Hours later, she called Mario to say there was nothing she could do to fix it and she recommended putting him to sleep. We didn't understand what was happening. We picked him up from Greenleaf, put him in the back of my dads car and rushed him to Miami Veterinary Specialists to see a board-certified surgeon. Dr. Robin Holtsinger was on call that night and after a few hours of operating on him, she was able to save his bladder and his life. She told us that she discovered his prostate gland was not there, his bladder and urethra were severely damaged and detached and his body was bruised and had severe internal trauma as a result of Conejos surgery. They were in shock and so were we. Louie was in stable condition and after two weeks of recovery in the hospital was able to come home, still unable to pee, and had to wear a catheter. We were in and out of the animal hospital for two months following the incident while he continued treatment. In September of 2023, Louie developed a bad infection from what happened that spread to his organs causing them to fail. On September 6 Louie passed away.

You think that you are empowered by writing this in a public forum, but it is not going to get you anywhere. We are a reputable clinic with a reputable staff which care about animals and we care about our work we take a lot of pride in it But things go wrong and it's not always our fault you admitted that the other dog was playing and sutures break they're not indestructible. We had this discussion you left Happy. The wound was sutured closed in an appropriate manner that you feel that you were mistreated. We would've been happy to help if you would've come in with a nice attitude and we would've done our best to make sure the situation was dealt with. Instead, you and your mother felt That you should scream and you feel that if you scream the loudest it will get heard. Unfortunately, you ended up spending more money at another place which did nothing more than what we did initially. I wish you could see life a little bit with a happier lens instead of a bitter lens, thinking everyone is out to get you. Buddha is a very nice dog and I wish him the best. This is my response....the wound was never closed and i have the pictures to prove it. you sent the animal home with a gaping open wound, no collar and no antibiotics. lets just wait for the lawsuit to settle and see what objective observers think. it is you who needs to be ashamed...you are butchers not vets! Defensive denial is their go to!
