I am a former mechanic and was looking for a new garage. The first thing I did when checking out Fredericks was look at the shop. It was exceptionally clean and well organized. Everything had a place. They had the latest diagnostic equipment as well as other equipment that showed me they stayed up-to-date on the automotive trade. In other words, I know a great shop when I see one. Add to that the fact that the people at Fredericks are very professional, accommodating and friendly and you have a shop you can depend on. Are they a little pricey? Maybe, but you certainly get what you pay for and if you want some hack to work on your car in some dark, dingy cinder block garage, then have at it. If you want quality work by professionals then Fredericks is your place.

Had my car towed there to have the alternator fixed and 3 days later, the car was still not repaired. When I came back to tow my car out of there (since it STILL WAS NOT fixed) and have it dropped off to another mechanic who was actually going to fix it, I got hit with $280.80 bill. One of the line items on the bill actually reads, "2 hour waiting time @ $130" for supposedly having waited on me while my friends came to pick me up from the shop since I had no other way of getting out of there. Bottom line, I would avoid this place like the plague if I were you. Find another mechanic if you actually want your car fixed.

Well recieved a call in within 20mins.Tow truck was outside in my driveway. He was careful not scratch my paint, he put some cut up fire hose on chains to protect my car. He secured it on flatbed and away she went later I went to Del Hatt and she arrived in perfect condition. If I ever need a tow on any of my other vehicles, I will definitely call Brandls.

After paying over $900 to resolve issue, after service was provided, within 3 days, the engine light came on again. After returning car to resolve issue, they wanted another $400+ dollars with no guarantee that the same issue would be resolved. I instead picked up the car to take to another mechanic that we trust to fix the issue at a reasonable cost. Will never go to this shop again and do not recommend it for anyone else.

The price quoted was $950 and had to be paid in full before they would send a tow truck. The quote was signed amd the amount paid. Subsequently I waited 3 hours for service when the yard was 15 minutes away. They kept saying 'leave the line open', and ' the driver is on the way' and then after 3 hours they informed me that he was having troubles with his tow truck and they could send another tow truck bet there would be an additional charge of $1,200 that needed to be paid. Isaid they could either do it for the original price or refund the charge by crediting my credit card. Theyputvme on hold and thennsaid they could credit the card but there would be a processing fee. I told them to waive the fee or I would take them to small claims court if they tried that nonsense. They agreed to credit back the card and refused to perform the service for the agreed upon signed proposal. I told them it was a classic ' bait and switch ' business model. If I could give them a negative star it would be too kind. Avoid them like the plague.
