I found this location to have pretty spot on mechanics and service advisors. I was able to get the work done in a reasonable time maybe an hour or an hour and a half. I went in the next day with my 2014 GMC truck to get the brakes flushed. When they attempted to do so encountered understandably a rusty bleeder valves on all four brake calipers. Instead of trying to take them off and possibly stripping or breaking them they did the smart move and Told me that the leaders were stripping because of the rust and rather than damage or break them they asked me what I wanted to do. Of course, I said that I have somebody that has more expertise with that issue(stubborn and rusty parts that need to come off ) and likely will have to torch some heat on them to get them off. I was very glad that they had the cognizance to stop and ask me first and I was very grateful for them doing so. Needless to say they did not charge me and I did manage to get the four brake bleeder screws replaced at another mechanic that I deal with exclusively for these issues. I will be back to visit this location to get service, as I feel very comfortable in doing so at the present time. Well done team!

I was told that if I did the repairs highlighted on the receipt to bring the car back, they would do a reinspection that would take 15 minutes. I made an appointment took the car to them. 15 minutes in. I was told I needed new brakes and rotors. The manager Kyle showed me in the shop the rear brakes. I asked if we just put the pads on with the pass at first he said no then he said for $100 they would do the pads and that the car would pass. I told him to give me back my car and I would take it somewhere else. So to add insult to injury, I was charged an additional $10.

Plus, there had been a bunch of cars hitting deer that afternoon & evening due to the temps dropping, so the tow trucks were slammed with work. Nonetheless, PJ from Simmons was kind enough to drive me and my sad little Mini Cooper all the way to Wappingers Falls where the nearest Mini dealership was located. And, I made my friend's 50th birthday party weekend. Thank you to Simmons and especially a huge shout out to PJ for your generosity and going the extra mile (or 50, as the case might be!).

Decided to try a local auto shop for service when one that we have been going to for years is an…read morehour away. Took car in due to engine light indicator coming on. After paying over $900 to resolve issue, after service was provided, within 3 days, the engine light came on again. After returning car to resolve issue, they wanted another $400+ dollars with no guarantee that the same issue would be resolved. I instead picked up the car to take to another mechanic that we trust to fix the issue at a reasonable cost. Will never go to this shop again and do not recommend it for anyone else.

Some have been competent but many have either done poor work and/or overcharged or suggested unnecessary repairs. Valyant Auto is an outstanding shop. They are honest, have reasonable prices and do excellent work. They are also friendly and take the time to clearly explain what work you need, or don't actually need. This auto repair shop is a breath of fresh air and I highly recommend it!
