I couldn't decide & ended up purchasing 3 pair (and for a lot less than $700!) I'm still waiting on the call to pick up my glasses now. It has been longer than the 2 hours they quoted me BUT the other place told me 2-3 WEEKS so whether it takes 2 hours or all night, I'll still be happy I got them in a day as opposed to waiting almost a month. Honest, Thorough, and Trustworthy Care…read more I saw this ophthalmologist for a second opinion after another clinic told me I needed urgent cataract surgery. He spent a full two hours examining my eyes and reviewing the records he had to personally request from the first clinic. His assessment was completely different -- and far more reassuring. He explained that I have only mild cataracts, actually fewer than most people my age, and that my eyesight is very good. He told me plainly that nothing warranted surgery and that I should just use readers when needed. I appreciated Dr. Jeff Holt's (and staff's) honesty, his calm approach, and the fact that he didn't try to push any unnecessary procedures. It's rare to find a doctor who takes the time to explain everything clearly and prioritizes what's truly best for the patient. I'm very grateful I went to him.

Usually, if something is too good to be true it isn't, but in this case it really was true. Here's how it went. I texted Steve the prescription, which he said could be made while I waited. (My grandson had lost his other glasses, so it was important to get new ones ASAP.) Sure enough, we picked out a pair of frames and received the glasses within about 20 minutes. The amazing price was $125. Now imagine the hassle of going to Walmart or somewhere, then having to go back to pick them up, then paying what would surely be a lot more. And yes, he's only open on Wednesday, but for us it was worth every bit the wait (two days.) Cannot recommend these folks highly enough.

The staff are great, but their lab may be the slowest and most unorganized in Arkansas…read more Absolutely use them for your optometrist visits, but take your prescription elsewhere unless you want to wait over two weeks for your glasses. Even if you do wait past the two weeks, the onus is on you to call and check on the status of your order. Miraculously, when you do call, your glasses will arrive the next day. I'm not sure if that's a coincidence, or if your call somehow motivates them to complete orders more quickly. This happened with both my glasses and sunglasses orders made over two weeks apart. At first I thought it was an anomaly, but it seems to be an issue with all lab orders. Again, the staff are great, but you can find inexpensive glasses elsewhere that won't take 2+ weeks for delivery.
