I had so much fun and truly didn't want the shoot to end. She is insanely talented and paid attention to every little detail. She and her team cared so much and were the sweetest. From the welcome sign and snacks to the thoughtful bathroom setup, everything felt so intentional and done with such care. I couldn't be happier with how my photos turned out! I am truly obsessed with them!

I was browsing on the internet looking for a glamour and boudoir photographer when stumbled on…read moreCaroline's page and was instantly impressed by her work. It is easy to book a free consultation with her to discuss the details before deciding whether this would be the right fit for what I was looking for. After a phone call to go over the my questions, Caroline sent over clear details about her service, what to expect, and pricing on different packages. I knew right away this is exactly what I was looking for. The drive was a bit long for me since I come from south Orange County. This isn't my first rodeo when it come to boudoir photography but this definitely was worth the drive. It was the best experience I've had so far. Caroline and her team is very easy to work with and everything feel very comfortable during the session. From the minute you walk into the door, you feel an instant warm and welcoming vibe from the team. Everyone is easy to talk to and real sweet. I love the clothing and accessories availability. They have so many different options to choose from. Not going to ruin the surprise but there's a variety of different backgrounds and settings as well from indoor to outdoor scenery so you will have plenty of creative and fun shots for the shoot. Caroline is talented and experienced, she was able to capture a lot of good shot in a few hours that we worked together. Best of all, you don't even have to know what you are doing. She will guide you through the whole process by showing you different poses and exactly what to do to get the best shot. It's like you can come without any experience and be unprepared because she will take care of everything. Caroline's assistant is there to make sure everything goes smoothly and she's so great with everything as well. Even if you are shy, I'm sure you will feel pretty comfortable and have a lot of fun during the session. She will handle all the photo editing after the session too so don't worry about your imperfections or your skin not looking so good because a couple weird pimples decided to pop up a few days before the shoot. I would totally recommend this to anyone that is thinking of doing something special for yourself. All women are beautiful and deserved a little treat once in a while. This will be a great present to yourself and you will have some amazing photos to keep forever. That's how I feel about it. I feel like it boosted my confidence a bit too.

I had even gone shopping specifically for this and needed inspiration because I had no clue what to wear. I was super nervous the day of my shoot and once I arrived to the studio Monica was there with her makeup artist. They both greeted me and once we started to chat I began to feel comfortable. It was as if we were old friends hanging out to play dress up. My makeup and hair was awesome, I can't remember the makeup artist's name but she really listened to me and nailed the look I wanted. Monica was super helpful with picking out outfits. I took my husband's jersey to wear in one of the looks which Monica totally encouraged me to do it. I brought along my wedding shoes and pearls which were sentimental because they're pieces I'd wear on my wedding day. I can't even express how professional and comfortable my session was. At the end of the photo session I felt like this would be something I'd do again as long as Monica is the photographer. She gave great directions on posing and you definitely gain that confident bad b!tch attitude as you go. I was extremely happy with my proofs which made it very hard to choose. Thank god I had a couple of good friends look through them and narrow down the 20 pics for his book. My husband loved his wedding present and soon we will get the other pictures I didn't purchase. I look forward to working with Monica again! She loves what she does and it shows in her work!

When I was a tween I realized I wanted to be an actress. I loved to be on stage and to perform. I…read moreread everything I could on how to make it in Hollywood. I was in Texas so my options were fairly limited since I wasn't looking to rope any cattle or sang with a twang, but I was able to find a modeling and talent agency nearby. I begged my mother to take me there and we went, me armed with my short resume, a lot of moxie and excitement. We were seen by a middle-aged, frumpy man who took one look at me and told my mother that I wasn't model material: I was too dark and should consider other options. I was devastated and I never forgot that jackhole, crusher of tween girl dreams. It took me a while to recover from that. I wish I was cognizant of the art of voodoo at that time, 'cause that mothereffer would have had all kinds of pains in his nether regions. When I won a gift certificate for a photo session with Boudoir Rouge Photography, I was at once elated and nervous. This is my second chance! My headshots don't count, which, by the way, if anyone wants any I'll be happy to autograph one for you; I need to get rid of those things! I'll be sending them out as holiday cards until I'm beating knuckleheads upside their heads with my granny cane. Anyway, I had the same kind of mild anxiety I get when I'm afraid someone who thinks I'm all mature will find out I sometimes sing along to Miley Cyrus songs. I thought, "I'm going to have someone staring at my face for hours? What about what my sister said about my chin when we were in 6th grade?" "I don't know nothin' about being sexy. I try to pout and I look like a constipated blowfish." Thankfully, I had nothing to worry about. From the moment I first spoke to Monica, the photographer and I believe, founder of BRP, on the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She has an extremely warm and soothing way about her. She assured me this shoot would be more housewife than ho, despite the fact that I'd only be covering my lady bits - if even that. After speaking with her, I was so excited to go shopping for sexified outfits for my shoot. In the weeks before my shoot I'd practice different poses, trying to find looks that worked for me. Be careful driving down the 405 licking your lips seductively in your rearview mirror; you might end up with a creepy, dentally-challenged dude in a beat-up truck as your biggest fan and stalker. The day of the shoot, Monica arrived with her photographer-to-go kit at my home. While I worked on my makeup and nerves, she worked on transforming my bedroom. When I walked into my bedroom post boudoirification I was floored. Where the hell was I? It sure wasn't *my* bedroom. This was some other chick's sexy man-eating chambre. It was an amazing transformation! *I* wanted to be all up in that room being hot. Before we began she mentioned to me that some of her clients like to drink a glass of wine before the shoot to relax. You ain't got to tell me twice! I can't drink wine anymore, so I said, screw it, I'm going for the vodka. At 10am, there I was doing shots of vodka. Hell yeah, I was feeling great then! Let's take this shit off and get it done! At first, I was a little shy. I was also a little freaked about having my blinds open on my street-facing windows, me in undies, attempting to pose seductively. I was afraid one of my neighbors would walk by, get an eyeful and start thinking he needs to come by for a visit soon. Eww and no. Monica is like the lingerie-whisperer. Within 20 minutes, I was so relaxed and calm, and it wasn't just the vodka warming it's way through my body. It was Monica, she made me feel beautiful, she made me feel like every pose I did put Cindy Crawford to shame, I was thinking I was hot shit ready to call up "Victoria Secret" and say, "Yo, you ain't met Ms. Keisha." Her direction was so simple to follow and allowed me to focus more on being comfortable in my skin. I felt like a star and I was living my tween dream. By the end of the session, I felt like a model. I was strutting around in my bra and panties and heels like "what?!" I was ready to shimmy down the street. After the shoot, I was like a kid waiting for Christmas, so anxious to see my sneak preview. I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the sneak peek of my photos I thought I was the business. I sent some of the photos to my sister and she said, "Hello Keisha Kardashian" which I *think* was a compliment. The 8 x 10 and small flip book I later ordered were beautifully packaged with care. Now I have memorialized for all of time my youth and perkiness and I can show my grandkids and say, "Look what granny used to have!" Nothing would give me more pleasure than to send a copy of these photos to that frumpy asshole at the talent agency, show him what Keisha grew up to be. I'd include a note that said, "How ya like *these* apples?"

Some of the photos are for my fiancé as a wedding gift and we incorporated some inside jokes and other personal ideas. Shane and I have been friends for some time, and while I've always admired his work, I've always found myself wondering how he is able to work with such beautiful, aesthetically symmetrical and professional models who look natural, not posed, and always alluring. I had a chance recently to work with Shane on a set of photos to remember myself by because I'm going in for a major, planned but required surgery which will alter my appearance permanently. I honestly wasn't sure how it would go, considering (1) we are friends (2) I am ULTIMATE awkward. I in no way could ever imagine myself looking anything like anyone in his portfolio and much less appealing somehow. I just wanted to remember myself as I am, whatever that was, awkward and all. Boy, I was not prepared for how elevating this experience was, and it really is an experience. This is not a photography session, it's a therapy session (lol). Shane is natural, friendly, but also funny, thoughtful, insightful, and encouraging. The way he guides you through a session is just a hang out, and we had so much to catch up on in the time we spent together since it had been years since we last hung out. And somewhere in the midst of catching up, sharing stories, laughing and making fun of ourselves, something magical happens. I'm forever grateful for this experience with Shane because it was truly an amazing way to honor my body and myself, even as I found myself unexpectedly in this current stage in life. I felt incredibly present, empowered, and beautiful, things I could never use to honestly and truthfully describe about myself. Definitely 80000000% recommend working with Shane.

I like how she kept me updated with emails and texts, asking if I had questions regarding the shoot. Once I got to the shoot, I was so nervous, but Claire made me feel comfortable and showed/explained poses to me. I loved the outcome of the photos that I purchased more items / photos. During our consultation, she made me feel super comfortable with her professional manner and fun attitude. I never felt pressured to book her for a photoshoot, but looking at the photos from her ad and talking to her, I knew I would be in good hands, so I decided to book her. Working with her was so easy from the very beginning. She's transparent on her process, and she walks you through it step by step. Her emails have so much useful information, so be sure to read them! She helps you pick outfits that are flattering for your body type, hair, nails, and makeup tips, places to shop, what to bring for your photoshoot, schedule for the day of, etc. There is no reason for someone not to have a great experience with Claire; just follow her instructions, she's been doing these shoots for a long time, and she knows what she's talking about! Upon arrival, Claire and my makeup artist (Ariel) went over my preferences, and I cannot praise Ariel enough; my hair and makeup were absolutely flawless! Claire will talk with you about the process, which made me feel more comfortable, then she'll go through the outfits to see what would work best for the shoot, and set up your wardrobe in a private room. Claire and Ariel will check your outfits and jewelry to make sure you look flawless, and your shoot begins. Don't worry about posing; Claire has a ton of poses for you and guides you on how to hit your marks. My time with them was so much fun, exciting, comfortable, and empowering. When the shoot is done, you'll have a break, so make sure to bring lunch! During this time, Claire is setting up your photos for the selection process. Again, there is no pressure to pick or discard photos from your gallery. The hardest part is declining photos because her photography is gorgeous! I couldn't believe how incredible these photos looked, and that takes a lot for me to say about myself; I have never felt so confident about my looks until seeing these photos. After the selection process, I always received an email when my prints or artwork were being shipped to me, again continuing her fantastic communication process. If you book a shoot with Claire, you're doing yourself a favor. Just be sure to read all the emails because the information is so valuable to enhance your photoshoot experience. She is great with communication, so if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask her!
