From installing a cleanout and rodding that main line annually, to installing new fixtures both inside and out, to the most recent service, cleaning out a drain for my washing machine, I've always been satisfied. Extremely satisfied! My 14 year old water tank went out Saturday and I took the coldest shower ever. Couldn't find anyone to come out on the weekend or even return calls. After spending an hour researching and calling plumbing companies Monday morning and getting incredibly high prices, including one company who wanted $350 extra to change pricing for converting 75 gal to 50. Luckily, I stumbled upon Simon plumbing, locally based in Mokena. I called, spoke with the representative who quickly gave a very fair and competitive price but wasn't sure if they could come out the same day. She asked if I had leak or hot water. Nope to both. She called back and said plumbers would be there between 11-1p. Josh and Chance arrived promptly at 11 and completed the Job. by 1245. I'm impressed with the quality, cleanliness and price fairness. Josh showed me the extra copper piping , flue metal and 1/4 turn refrigerators water valve and hook up I added. He charged a very reasonable additional charge. Day before thanksgiving had a severe Bathtub leak. They came out immediately and fixed it. I had 2 other plumbers that didn't know what they were doing, with the continued leak. They did an amazing Job of lowering the drain pipe so we could have a disposal after getting an under mount sink. They also removed a slop sin in the garage and replaced with a spigot that mixes both hot and cold. read more

I would like to take a moment and thank this company. I have a grease trap that backed up. It was full of grease. I had a company come out(not these guys) and remove the grease. They drain was not going down. He charged me $140 to tell me he recommends using a mechanic snake after 15 minutes.. That's done so long story short Simon plumbing came out and actually spent about a hour and snaked out my line for me. They charged a great price and he did it in the rain. After this weeks thaw we experienced some seepage, combine that with a sewer that was blocked with tree roots, leading to 3 inches standing water in the basement. Simon came in the same day to bail us out. Todd and Josh were in and out in about 30 minutes, with no water left. They were courteous and professional. Being a first time homeowner I didnt know where to start with the plumbing issue I was having. I found Simon Plumbing service to be highly recommended on many different posts throughout the Oak Forest Community FB page and then saw all the positive comments on Yelp which lead me to make Simon service my first call out to a plumber. I called right when the office open at 7am and Tedd answered immediately. I explain my problem to him and he knew exactly what was going on. He was at my home within the hour and sure enough found the problem and knew how to solve it. He was very knowledgeable and respectful. He answered any question I had and was very transparent with everything that was going on. My plumbing problem was not small nor an easy fix but he got the job done all in one day. Wayne & Todd have been keeping our main line clear of tree roots for over a decade, and we get some pretty nasty maple tree roots. Amazingly inexpensive and quick. So today when our kitchen sink finally completely quit draining and even though it was a Saturday we called them up. Todd said he was finishing up a job and would be to us in about 2 hours or less, guestimate for kitchen drain he said $125 - $155. After he got into it he was done in about an hour, and the price was well within the predicted range. He ran 30 feet of snake from our kitchen sink to make sure there was nothing left between it and the main line. When he reassembled the drain he did several "full sink" tests to be certain that it was not only draining well but that the seals on the trap were not leaking. I can tell you I don't think that drain was running that well when we bought the house! (32 years ago). It sounded like there was something in there sucking the water out. (The sound actually caught our cat off guard - she had to investigate - LOL). If you have any plumbing needs, do not hesitate to call these guys. They are a small business working their tails off to keep you happy with quality work at reasonable prices, for any plumbing job. Oh, and they do sump pump installs, and backup systems too. read more
