If I could give zero stars I would have... so ... my mom got a groupon session for me and confirmed appointment. I come in , no front desk staff. I waited 45 mins until dr arrived to tell me she has no time for groupon appts and that she doesn't know how i got an appt. excuse me? If you don't communicate with your own office staff why does that become my problem. I understand being busy, she never apologized for the wait, never gave me estimated waiting time so than I decided to leave and ask for refund because i wasn't going to wait any longer. All I know if i was late 30+ mins I wouldn't be seen i am pretty sure. So perhaps this place is great when they get your money but i guess if you want to just give it try and use groupon I suggest going elsewhere because you aren't so welcome here. I did few Chiropractic sessions in July and August. Dr. Simon was very helpful. I have an issue for the payments. I was told that I have to pay for it upfront and need to get it back from my insurance. At the end, both my insurance company and I paid to Dr.Simon. I had to call them several times to explain that. I went to Dr. Simon with an IT Band injury (a ligament) that was so severe, I couldn't walk for more than about 100 yards before my knee popped (reminiscent of "trick knee"). I don't normally go to chiropractors, but I was willing to try anything, specifically Active Release Therapy (ART) a treatment of the myofascia. Dr. Simon utilized this technique and others. Much to my shock, I was running within 10 days. Miles. I am now back to 16 to 20 miles on my long runs and on my way to the Honolulu Marathon, within 3 weeks. I have a PhD in Physics (not a joke or an exaggeration). This guy is not a quack, as I typically assumed for chiropractors given previous experiences, and provides real healing. If 10/5 stars were available, I would push for that. He hasn't tried to sell me anything, and went right to work providing treatment and sport chiropractic care. I was never a believer before. After 3 years of searing back pain, several medical procedures, pain relievers and finally a surgeon explaining a highly invasive surgery he thought was necessary, I decided to try several alternative therapies. Never having been to a chiropractor, I was wary, but went after a strong suggestion by a friend. Dr. Simon was upfront and asked me to stick with him for three weeks. At that point he would know how much he could help me. At the time of this review, it has been four weeks and my pain went from 3 years at an 8-9 to a 2-3. I have to reluctantly submit an update of my review, due to unexpected circumstances that caused us to seek help from another ( amazing by the way ) chiropractor. After only three visits, with mom still hurting but hopeful that it takes time for the pain to go away, and literally a few hours before her last appointment I've received a call from the receptionist. She informed me that they have a problem with her insurance (Mass Health), although Dr.Simon himself assured us that, after signing the new policy, Mass Health holders won't need to provide a referral to receive treatment. Needless to say, I've already made arrangements to leave work earlier and drive mom to the appointment. The receptionist did offered us an option to pay for the service, but I declined. Reducing my rating due to the unprofessional handling of the appointment booking process. I don't know if the treatment would've been a success. This guy is his own #1 fan! I had an appointment with this chiropractor and you would have thought that he walked on water on his way to see me. He didn't introduce himself, ask me any questions about myself or my concerns, other than the obligatory, "What's wrong?" and acted as if he had a million other better things to do. He was rushed, never followed up with me, and honestly, didn't really seem to care one way or another if I came back to see him again. The receptionist TWICE emailed me someone else's confidential information. It was clear that she was new, but PLEASE. Confidentiality is absolutely essential in health. This experience was so negative, I immediately cancelled the follow-up appointment that I had made. I came to Dr. Simon with chronic headaches and migraines. Before I started my treatment, I was to the point of taking pain medication every day to get some relief from the headaches and neck pain. The reason for my visit to Dr. Simon was chronic pain in my arms, mostly from my elbows down to my wrists and fingers. I had what felt like achy joints, sharp pains, tingling, loss of sensation, etc. Before then, I had seen numerous doctors and tests came back normal and healthy, which was very frustrating because I didn't feel that way. I was given drugs that didn't work and did PT. I also went to an acupuncturist, which was very pricey as my insurance did not cover it. After 6 visits of acupuncture and not much relief later, I did some research and stumbled upon Dr. Simon's office. He located the source of my pain in my neck and back. For the past 2+ months of therapy, I haven't had a major flare up, which at times would put me out of doing any computer work/my job and any household tasks like cleaning or cooking, which would make me feel hopeless. I feel instant relief after a visit when I start to feel the symptoms arise again. He has also suggested other forms of therapy I could try, but I find this to be the most helpful thus far along with the exercises he recommends I do at home. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Simon's for a year, originally seeking immediate treatment after breaking my leg and stretching ligaments in my ankle due to a fall. This resulted in overcompensation on my "healthy leg" and caused all sorts of lower back and hip pain. I was very pleased with Dr. Simon's approach which included a variety of different treatment methods. He was always willing to listen to whatever was bothering me on a particular visit, and figure out what worked best for each situation. All around a thumbs up for his technical abilities, easy going personality and encouragement to get me through a tough situation. So this was my first time going to a chiropractor so I had high expectations on at least being able to give me a diagnosis on what was going on with my lower back. I arrrived 15 minutes early like the office recommends and wasnt seen until 10 mintutes after my scheduled time. I went into the office with "Dr." Simon and sat down with him for 10/15 mintues while he asked me questions. Immediately during this conversation he mentioned(for the first time) that he would probably have to see me twice a week for at least 6/8 weeks to have a "clearer" understanding on what was going on with my back and how to treat it, and he hadnt even begun the physical exam yet. He then had me lie on the table where he basically had me do a few stretches that I already do on my own. Again he stated to me that he would probably have to see me twice a week for 6/8 weeks to make progress on my back. He then pulls out a couple "instruments" that he used for 5/10 seconds on my back(I liken it to a clown pulling out a balloon in front of a small child) that did nothing at all to my back. It was like these instruments usually wowed other clients. Then he tried to stretch out my back but I guess I was little too solid for him(Im 6 1 215) because he certainly did have trouble. Again he mentioned that seeing me twice a week for 6/8 weeks would allow him to get a better understanding on my back and that this exam probably wouldnt allow me to feel any different because there wasnt something "seriously wrong" with my back. At no point during all this did he ever mention a potential diagnosis/problem with my lower back. All of a suddent the appointment was over. All of this took no more then 20/25 minutes and at least half of that time was spent in conversation. As Im getting ready to leave he asks me if he should schedule other appointments to see him. I blatantly say NO and maybe I should come back when my lower back condition is aggravated so maybe then you can actually provide some sort of diagnosis or beneficial treatment. With traffic/parking/waiting/exam I was back at my apartment in less then 45 minutes. I got back to my apartment and I said to myself "wow what a racket, I shouldve gone to chiropractic school". I felt like I just wasted money that I could have used on a massage or something else that has actually made my back feel better. I felt like I had a fast one pulled on me. Trust me I really wanted this to go well but it did not. Nothing came from this. I was better off working out and doing the excersises I do on my own. I dont know if this is the normal experience with all chiropractors but Simon will definitely not be getting my return business. If he had actually put some effort in and conducted a full exam/adjustment on me then I might have returned to him. I just threw money don the drain read more
