Always Fast and Courteous - Recommend highly - excellent place to get x-rays - all should go

Got there for XRay and got checked in. After over 40 minutes seeing that no patient was being called back I went to front desk. Only to be told the xRAY tech was not even doing them as he was placed to do other services and then receptionist lied and stated I had been told it would be 30-45 minutes before he would start X-rays. One we were never told that at check in. Second they are supposed to start X-rays at 9, this was now almost 11 am. Was beyond rude and lied about informing customers. Went back to waiting room and asked the other patients had been and none had been told that by front desk. Front desk here provides the worst experience!! read more

I went in for a mammogram, and the doctor giving me the mammogram was extremely Unfriendly. If I did not move or position myself in the exact spot, she would get upset and put my place in the right spot. She was not friendly. She was not welcoming. She said she's been doing this for 19 years. And I sure hope to hell she did not treat all of her patients like this. I would never recommend this place. Ever. There are plenty of other places to go. I have not gotten to Simom Med yet, but my experience with the customer service appointment clerk was less than acceptable. They appear to have little telephone skills. Having a strong foreign accent doesn't help and talking softly using speaker doesn't help. Almost evry other question had to be repeated. What should have taken 2 minutes to arrange took almost 15. This place is disrespectful to everyone and has no compassion for patients that are getting testing and imaging done. Not only omar's they rude on the phone when you call to get clarification for something you need to get done but they are extremely rude to patients in the facility as well. I wouldn't be surprised if someone calls the state on this location at this point because of how horrendous they are and sketchy. I will never ever go here nor will any of my family members ever again. How can people work in this type of field with no respect, no human kindness of any kind, and just misery all around? I challenge anyone associated with Simon Med administration or executives to use their own services. X-ray appointments are impossible to schedule and the walk-in ruse is just that. I followed the instructions for walk-in by checking on-line. Found the closest clinic had 4 people waiting. Drove the 20 minutes to the clinic and there wer 30 people and a 2 hour wait. So either 26 people showe up in the 20 minutes it took me to commute or they're lying. read more

ZERO Customer Service. HIPAA violations. Do Not Answer their phones. So called "Women's Center" needs a good cleaning. If I am asked by anyone where to get a mammogram, I will tell them to run anywhere else but here. If I could give zero stars, I would. This experience was awful. Starting with the receptionist. She was unfriendly, and started off the entire appointment on a bad note. When I was finally called back, the women's wellness area smelled like an ashtray. It was disgusting, and not at all "well". The computer systems were slowing down the images being transferred. I waited almost 2 hours before finally leaving. When I got a voicemail from one of the techs, she said she would call me in a hour with my results because she had no direct line back to her desk. When I checked my online chart, she falsely stated that she was awaiting a call back from me for my results. They hung up on me in a middle of a call, just went dead. No call back from them. When I called back, I was placed at the back of a long line. Frustrating beyond belief. This is one of the worst companies I have attemped to work with for my medical needs. I have called and asked for help 7 times. I have been lied to, misinformed, and no calls back. I am presently on hold to speak with a supervisor and had to ask 5 times, and when transferred, it wasn't a supervisor. I was on hold one time for 26 minutes for a supervisor and no one came to the phone or checked in and thanked me for waiting. If you need help, I would recommend using another imaging company. read more

Any medical company that has a relationship with Simon Med needs to put pressure on them to improve or cancel contracts. For real, just look at these complaints. My best friend went in for a mammogram today, 9/6/25. The front desk ladies were great and friendly. The mammogram technician however was very rude. This is a procedure that makes a person feel very vulnerable and she made my friend feel like less than a human. She cried because of this woman. I don't like posting negatively, but this went too far. Please do better. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I went here for an appointment that was made on the phone with their scheduling team. I show up for the appointment and they said because I was over 30 I needed an additional procedure they did not have time to perform. The front desk person showed no empathy, no compassion, she seemed annoyed at me. There were multiple steps along the way where their team/ system should have caught this if it truly is their policy. 1. When my doctor sent the order over and they contact me to schedule the appointment. 2. When I spoke to the person in their scheduling department 3. The numerous times I filled out paperwork in the week leading up to the appointment and entered my DOB to enter their system. They messed up multiple times scheduling me for this appointment that they then chose to not perform day of. They had no respect for my time and no compassion that although this may be their day to day it is not mine. The manager that came out was more considerate than the receptionist but said that this is not an uncommon occurrence. They have people take off work and drive in only to tell them they need to add on additional test that they don't have time for. read more

I've spent over 2 hours trying to make an appointment (not counting 40 minutes spent on hold). The web form is confusing and has questions only a physician could answer. I was told two different things about services available at the Flagstaff location by two different chat people. I was told I needed my physician to completely rewrite his referral order to a different type of MRI on a different type of machine. I'm not going to subject myself to these people - I will find someone else on my own. read more

SUPER SHADY BILLING PRACTICES I met my deductible and out of pocket max for the year and they still told me I had to pay $221 AND a 3% credit card fee. When I got home, I called my insurance and they called the 3rd st office. They claim it is standard practice to STILL bill patients who have met their deductibles and I will get a refund in 30-40 days!!! AND they keep the credit card fee!! BEWARE. read more

SimonMed received orders from my doctor on 1/13/2025. I still hadn't heard from them to schedule on 1/22/2025 so I scheduled on my own. I arrived at my appointment on 1/27/2025 only to find out they hadn't gotten preauthorization from my insurance which requires a 7 business day wait. I had to reschedule for 2/5/2025 and when I arrived they had to cancel because their "system was down", but they'd call me to reschedule. On 2/17/2025 they still hadn't called to reschedule so I had to call them. I am now scheduled for 2/25/25 and have had to change three follow-up appointments with my pain doctor for treatment since the results are required first. This means I'm sitting waiting in pain for three months due to their negligence. read more

If you're going in for a walk-in x-ray, please beware that locations may turn you away. I went to five different locations today and all of them turned me down. All excuses were different and even calling their operations. Number told me that they were all open and doing x-rays just to find out when I get to the location they are not doing x-rays today or even all week. read more

Visited one site for an appt, very nice on time for MRI, due to some difficulty was recommended I go to another site 1 hour away which had newer equipment. Showed up early they called me back and asked for paperwork on a device, remember I already had an MRI at other site. Immediately told me they were 1 hr behind and I would have to reschedule since I did not have the paperwork the previous site didn't require. I immediately called and got copies of the paperwork and walked back in 10 min later. Was told nope I had to reschedule, rude staff. They had zero empathy for having to drive the hour after 1st facility could not complete. Must be poor management to allow this bad of customer service. walked in for an X-ray and it took 2 hours and 15 minutes for it to actually get done. I checked the wait times on line and it said 2 waiting. My concept it can't be that bad of a wait. How wrong I was. Simonmed has completely lost touch with the customers that it serves and I won't be going back. I have found this to be true in at least 2 other locations in the Simonmed family. To avoid unnecessary frustration, explore other options for your imaging care. Despite having a doctor's order from August and an insurance authorization from September, I was still unable to get an appointment well into October. The authorizations department repeatedly claimed they never received my approval, even though the facilities confirmed they had it and couldn't understand why I wasn't attending my appointments. Remember, you are not limited to the facility your doctor refers you to. When you call, you're routed to a call center where there's little urgency or concern for your needs. I spoke with a representative named Glen, who was particularly difficult to deal with and refused to escalate my case, further delaying my care. You can't directly contact the site unless you're fortunate enough to answer when they call, leaving you with limited control over your care and more delays. read more

I went to the Simonmed on 3rd street and Thomas and I cannot say how unprofessional they are. This is my 3rd time using them and I can say they have not improved at all. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appt only to wait a hour and half to be seen. There was no communication that I was going to be waiting this long. They don't consider the patients time or experience. The office was FILTHY with dirt and scratches all of the place. Some children were playing on the floor an their knees were black!! Don't even get me started on the bathroom facilities. While receiving my MRI the headphones had no music or anyone talking you through letting you know how long it was going to be during the images. I literally felt like I was a fast food restaurant. If I had a choice I would have avoided this place, however my doctor wanted to use them. I prefer SMIL over Simonmed any day. If you can use another company, please do because everyone deserves to have their time respected and a comfortable experience. This is not the place for that read more

Their Scheduling staff is the worst I've ever experienced in 40 years of being an adult. It took 30+ minutes just to make a Dexa scan appointment. Then to change the date it literally took the girl 20 minutes and she got the month wrong. Next call was 10+ minutes (2 calls and 30 minutes to change one date...). At least finally with someone that understand English better. I suspect they have this sourced overseas. Ludicrous amount of time. I just had to change a few other medical appointments and all these other providers take about 5 minutes. read more

Rude Customer service front desk girl. Very clean Very nice Biopsy team. When we come in we are already feeling some type of way about our procedure. We dont need a rude customer Service desk person making me feel un welcomed. Other then that I recommend this location. And hope you dont run into rude girl intake person. read more

Everything! Long hold time, speaking with their staff after 10 minutes we were disconnected, called back none of my information was in the system, so I had to start over. I've had CT Chest scans yearly for the last 4 years to monitor lung conditions. My last CT Chest the reading by the radiologist was terrible, he didn't compare it to the others I've had there (crucial to see if nodules have grown or not). When a comparison was requested it took two whole weeks to get it done when it should have been done automatically, they were told my history. I went to SimonMed to complain to the office manager and she said they have no control over the radiologists reading the exams and gave me a phone number for the radiology group that does it. I had to call 3 separate times to get it done. Then when I went there to drop off my records request to get my scans (never going back there) the "office manager" said I had to travel to their office at Estrella to drop it off. That was incorrect, I was able to email it, it would have been an unnecessary trip. They just don't care about you or the service they give you. read more

Looks like I'm alone on my experience but I was very surprised by how quick I was seen and how nice everyone was. I got there at about 45 minutes early but figured I would check in and then just watch something on my phone while waiting. They already had my orders on file so I didn't need to complete anything, just paid and sat down. No more than two minutes later the receptionist called me back, I put my things in the locker and then the guy doing my MRI came out and took me into the room. Both the receptionist and the person who did my scan were pleasant. I can tell you I've never had such a good experience at a SimonMed location before. Specifically the Ahwatukee location was so terrible the last visit that I'll never go back there. This location is much further but I'd make the journey just to be treated with dignity. read more

I had a scheduled appointment at 730 for an ultrasound to be followed by an Xray of my hip. The xray machine was broken and I was sent to a different facility that wasn't available until 830. Its after 1030 and I'm still waiting. The room is freezing cold. Others that arrived after me have been seen and have left. The hallway to the restroom was unlit and appeared to be unavailable. I am very hungry because the ultrasound was a no food exam. The website is not user friendly because I could not find a place to leave this complaint. So here I am. Still waiting.... read more

Although the staff are very friendly, these imaging centers bill me up front for the amount that they intend to bill my insurance company, THEN they bill my insurance company immediately after I pay them the same amount. So, they end up being paid twice, then you have to wait for about 30 days after they say they've received the money from the insurance company before they will refund your money. According to my insurance company they were paid in less than a week, yet they took 4 weeks to refund my money. read more

Could not be worse. They screwed up the order, pre-auth, billing, and over charged me significantly on a scan I have been getting annually for 18 years (elsewhere). My insurance no longer was contracted with their (far superior) local competitor, so I was forced to go to this circus of absolute ineptitude. Go ANYWHERE BUT HERE if you have an option. Is there anything below one star? I initially tried two sites to get X-rays done, there was a 2 hour wait at both. I was sent to three other locations but none performed the weight bearing X-rays the doctor needed. They do NOT schedule X-rays, it's only walk in. I was told by one office the facility was open Saturday and drove over early. Nope. I arrived this morning a half hour before they opened. Computers down. The left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand does and I spent hours and miles trying to get a simple X-ray done. In total, I made six visits. Unbelievable. I would NEVER go to a physician who only used these facilities. Luckily my doctor sent me elsewhere, or I would be looking for a new doctor. read more
