The good part of my visit was the tech that performed my CT Scan. She was excellent and thorough. Very pleasant woman. The bad ~ my scan was moved to a different location without anyone directly notifying me. I noticed the address change in the text notifications. Then I spent 20 minutes just trying to talk to a person to verify WHERE THE SCAN WAS GOING TO BE. Yes, they had changed the location without letting me know. The uninformed ~ front desk tried to tell me that my copay gets sent back to the insurance company when I advised her that Ihad over paid my previous copay by $70.00. She then proceeded to tell me that the insurance company owes me the $70.00. This is while they are asking me to pay an additional $200+ for the scan today. What a load of crap. read more

When every SimonMed has the rating of 2.5 stars, you know it's in trouble. Apparently whatever corporation owns these imaging centers doesn't care about the quality or rating. Unprofessional staff, on the verge of being rude and impatient with the paying clients. Being rude to a male is a lot different than being rude to an elderly lady. Office Schedulers on Staff have no clue what they are supposed to be doing. So many frustrating mix ups in the E Mountain View facility. Radiologists do not complete or review their exams to give a report for over 10 days. I would not recommend Simon Med Imagining. read more

I had a diagnostic test at the office at 1331 N 7th st, Phoenix. I am a nurse practitioner and I was appalled with the condition of the lobby. large filthy carpet. Totally beaten up furniture, something dripped over a table and chips out of a door. i live in a historic neighborhood in town And I have private insurance. Very big difference in this office which serves mostly Medicaid patients from their Scottsdale offices. Staff said they has asked for refurbishing for over a year. Very unprofessional. They schedule you an appointment for Ultrasound and an X-ray and then when you get there, they tell you they don't do x-rays on Fridays, and you'll need to go to a different location. When you question why the appointment line scheduled the x-ray if they don't do them on Fridays, they give you different stories. They are always shorthanded; you always wait a long time and the staff is rude. I don't like any of the SimonMed locations. Only reason we are forced to go is because of insurance. read more

I know that when you go to the Drs it takes time to check you in etc..... I had an appointment it took 30 to verify my insurance normally this is done prior to coming in (reason why I provided my insurance information, so it can be verified prior to my appointment) I waited for an hour and 30 minutes to be fully checked in. After this I had to remind the girl upfront that I was still waiting, not only this I had to confirm if both reasons I was there for would be taking care off!! So, I've had to deal with this location before and it's gone way down hill! They always try and scam you out of money, even if your insurance tells you you shouldn't pay. Made an appointment online for an X-ray. Went in and was told they don't accept the appointments made online and it would be a 2 hour wait. Came back at opening another day and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. It was over 2 hours before I was seen. The radiologist repeatedly stared at my breasts. He told me the X-ray was a waste of time because I really needed a CT or MRI. Then he said the girls up front were idiots and that's why I was waiting so long. Just an awful place overall. read more

The WORST!!!? Went to get an xray, they only do walkin, so tried going after work, got there 45 minutes before closing to be told they wouldn't take my daughter. So being proactive, I went first thing in the morning the next day. I wait at the front, nobody there to greet me. Stood there for almost 10, minutes for this kid to tell me they don't even start xrays til 830. WTF!!!! Its 6:30 am...You have now wasted my time twice!!!! The technician was wonderful! Everyone else that I dealt with in this organization ranged from apathetic to dishonest. Extremely long waits (40 minutes) on the phone to speak to anyone on the financial line (602-651-1980). I had them triple checked the amount that I would owe for the MRI. They had my all my insurance info and the procedure code but still (intentionally) gave me a wrong estimate. I spent at least 2 hours waiting on the phone in the weeks before the appointment to have them check amount that I would be responsible for and confirm the insurance pre-authorization. I paid the estimated amount the day of service and still was billed an additional $180. When I ask how they calculated the estimate they refused to answer. I will not use them again because of their "could care less" attitude and total lack of customer service! read more

This place is a joke. I came in on a Saturday to get an x-ray, there were already 2 people waiting, and there's no clerk to check anyone in. Thirty mins. later, a clerk started checking patients in, just for all of us to learn from her that x-rays were not being performed that day! It would have been nice if the website was updated, and if a sign was placed right at the window where patients can see. So I came here this morning for a few MRI's and the person who scheduled my testing did it incorrectly and I almost had to reschedule my appointment because the way it was scheduled it could not be done. I was pretty upset because I had taken the day off and now it meant having to miss another day, the tech overheard me telling the receptionist I missed work for it and he walked up and said don't reschedule we will do what we need to do to take care of you, I was so relieved! The techs in the back I wish I had got their names but I totally spaced it a female and a male, the male did my IV and he was fast and accurate, explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable with getting the dye which is pending a lawsuit, I thought it was pretty cool of his to take the time to explain it all, the woman who performed my MRI was very sweet, it was an open MRI but I'm very claustrophobic so whether it's open or closed it's still pretty hard to do when it's thing for you but she kept checking in on me and I felt very much at ease and comfortable. I really appreciated how they were able to take care of me! My only complaint was the receptionist, she was not very friendly and as soon as she recognized that they would not be able to see me the way it was scheduled she immediately started asking who did the scheduling obviously I can't schedule myself so how was I to know it wasn't being done correctly she right away was telling me this needs to be rescheduled... after I had already paid nearly 200 for the tests... she definitely seemed frustrated she asked me to wait to talk to the people in the back and as I sat there waiting she was helping other people again she was not being very friendly to other people either and kind of the same thing telling them they need to reschedule and all in all I didn't and neither did the other 2 people she was telling that to. Again I don't know what their job entails and maybe she really believed rescheduling was inevitable but she's just not that friendly. read more

Great facility and staff was very polite. Dillion, my MRI technician was amazing. I was so nervous before my appointment but he explained me everything so well and the MRI room was very very comfortable. My appointment went very smooth. I would highly recommend this location for those who are claustrophobic. Open MRI machine at this location is so comfortable and staff takes really good care here. I would definitely give this location my five stars based on my experience. read more

First off, I'd like to say my issue was not with this location but with the support in India and SimonMed as a company. I was running late to my appointment and even called ahead and spoke to a representative from India. He told me he would contact this location directly and let them know I was running a few minutes late. I arrived 20 minutes late to my appointment thinking that my appointment would still be available, considering when you show up on time you usually end up waiting anyways, I assumed that my appointment would still be available. I understand the policy of the location, and the receptionist was very friendly and understanding of my concerns. However, it is unacceptable that someone from India is taking these calls in the first place. I find it very hard to believe that Simon med is struggling so much financially that they have to hire cheap labor from India rather then provide customer support in our own country that can actually assist people when they call. What is the point of even having them when they out right lie? This representative told me he would contact the location to let them know I was running late. He also told me that there was no way to connect me directly which I also found out was a lie. Either he didn't know how to do his job correctly, or he just didn't want to. Either way, give the job to somebody who will actually do it. If my physician had not referred me to Simon med, I would find another imaging location just for the fact that this company refuses to pay a decent wage, knowingly hires people who have no intention of helping whatsoever, and even if they wanted to, they're not given the tools to do it properly. I can understand having extra support to take the load off of the receptionist in the physical locations, but when I showed up the location was practically empty. Would it have really been that difficult to have a direct phone number so I could've informed the receptionist at that office that I was going to be 20 minutes late? I'll even take responsibility for being late because that was my fault, but I did call ahead and was reassured that it would be OK. Then to find out that the representative did not notify the location, and I was actually only five minutes over the 15 minute rule. Had I been there five minutes earlier, I still could've kept my appointment. What's worse is when I asked to make a complaint about the phone representative, I was told that the only number I could make a complaint would be to phone support in India. Simon med has managed to just pass this issue off and take no responsibility for their actions. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a major company. The receptionist even acknowledge that this has been an issue and that several people have made complaints about the phone support in India. She apologized because there was nothing she could do about it and no one she could put me in touch with to even complain about this issue. How does a company that's this large expect people to believe that there is no way for them look into issues that stem from a decision they made in the first place. I'm expected to believe that Simon med employs a call center out of the country but has absolutely no control over what they do, and doesn't even have the ability to address any concerns resulting from the failure of those employees that they hired in the first place. Simon med is always happy to take my money, but can't be bothered when there's an actual issue. They've devised a system where no one can be held accountable, there's no one to complain too, and there's no regard whatsoever for how this impacts the patient. Now I have to wait another 10 days before I can get an appointment, and get certified for extra time off of work in the meantime, but that's OK because Simon med's going to get paid either way so who cares right? Again very nice people in the office but shame on Simon med as a company. It's just another company that outsourced jobs out of this country just to save a buck. I guess you don't care if patients come back or not when your labor is so cheap that you don't have to worry about losing business. read more

She brought me back, filled out my information for me as they called me back so quick I didn't have time to finish it. She was VERY polite, courteous, professional, and friendly. I was scheduled for an MRI, so I called the Anthem office for the procedure on the 14th of July 2021 and talked to Charmaine. I was told that the procedure could not be done at this office so I was scheduled on the 26th of July at the 27th Avenue location for the MRI. I was sent a precheck via text which I could not do online then when I registered I was notified there was no appointment scheduled for the 26th?? So, thought the web site was messed up and went to the appointment anyway. I got there early and filled out all the required paperwork then waited and waited and waited for over and hour and twenty minutes to be called up to the reception desk to be told that the MRI machine there could NOT do the MRI and would have to schedule at the Thompson Peak location...... REALLY!! Why wasn't I notified of this problem and why did I have to wait soo long to be told this at the location? Poor communication and management...... read more

Do NOT go there. Both my wife as myself had our life-long WORST EVER medical experience. Diagnosed with severe abdomen pain, she was referred by her doctor for an urgent Ultrasound at SimonMed. Took several days to pinpoint an appointment, and then way too much time to receive diagnose report. CT Scan was advised to be necessary. Received info from SimonMed that we could just walk in, no appointment necessary. Arrived 15 minutes later, and were then told "no CT scans today". Earliest possible 3 days later. Due to my wife's excruciating pain, I drove her straight to emergency room of nearest hospital. Examined and diagnosed within 2 hours. My own bad experience was, first, that it took 3 days to make an appointment for an urgent ultrasound. Oh well. Ultrasound was then done Thursday, I was promised results available on Monday. It is Friday now, my doctor still has not received any diagnosis. Despite calling them 3 times. SimonMed'S excuses were so-called "computer program troubles"... So, in despair, I decided to contact SimonMed myself. Tried the website's "Chat" option first, it was worthless. So, in despair, I tried to phone them. Took 55 minutes of pure HELL. After long waiting time, finally spoke to a real person, who said she would transfer me to someone else. After more waiting, got back to the main menu, and then blatantly disconnected. This happened TWICE. Upon my 3rd phone call, I made a lot of "noise", but managed to refrain from using the F-word. Saying I needed an answer NOW. They finally gave in, and told me they would send me a copy of the report of the radiologist to my personal email address. Which SimonMed normally only transfers to doctors. Diagnosis was that I had several cysts in the "jewels area". Will now finally be able to make an appointment with my urologist. Now, what really made me completely OUTRAGEOUS, is the fact that the diagnose report of the radiologist was issued the day AFTER my ultrasound. So, this was 7 days ago. Does ANY corporate organization really needs 168 hours (or more) to transfer a document ? If I would NOT have called, it would have been 240 hours. At least. Completely unforgivable, unworthy of any kind of Company in the medical world. So, once again, if you value your health, DO NOT GO THERE !!! read more

Very comfortable and did not make you feel like a number. The X Ray tech. seems very good and to care about what he is doing. Parking is a breeze. I had the displeasure of visiting this dump of a location yesterday where i waited for 2 hours in the waiting room with the atmosphere of Wal-mart on a saturday afternoon, they play non stop videos of kids and babies screaming, crying and yelling. This place is about 35 miles from my home but i figured it was worth it because they said it was "open" mri and i have extreme claustrophobia. I finally get taken back after making some noise with rude front office girl, and i'm put in another dirty, unkept waiting area where i thought i'd be left for another who knows how long as it was ghost town back there. They finally come to get me and take me to the machine where im told that i will going in the machine up to my face, this won't work as im extremely claustrophobic. The tech says, well didn't your dr give you a sedative, ummmmm no because firstly i was told it was open and secondly, even if he did, it would;ve already worn off by the time they got to me. I panic and freak out and fall off the table and the techs response was, please don't ruin my equipment, with no concern at all for me that i may have hurt myself in the fall although she did hurry and report that i had jumped off the table so as to alleviate any responsibility on their part in the event i am injured from the fall. I have never been treated with such disrespect and i have never waited that long for any of my dr visits. I found the entire staff to be completely uncaring, rude, and unprofessional. Left after 2 hours completely aggravated, frustrated, and upset to say the least with no MRI. read more

This was my second time doing an MRI. First time couldn't do the full time. I am very claustrophobic. I told Lilly the MRI tech I was quite nervous. She was comforting during the whole procedure and totally amazing. I highly recommend going to Lilly at Simon Med Imaging in Phoenix Az if you even a little bit nervous/claustrophobic.
