I had an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience trying to schedule an ultrasound. The very first question I asked was whether the Redlands location offered the specific ultrasound test I needed. I spoke with Ralfjohn Dario, who assured me from the beginning that the Redlands location did offer it. Based on that assurance, I spent over 40 minutes on the phone, sent in my doctor's order, and sat through repeated holds while he supposedly worked on scheduling the appointment. After all of that, he finally told me I would actually have to go to La Jolla for the test. This was a complete waste of my time and could have been avoided if accurate information had been provided at the start. Patients should not have to spend nearly an hour on the phone, submit medical orders, and be repeatedly placed on hold only to be told the opposite of what they were assured at the beginning of the call. This experience showed a serious lack of competence, communication, and respect for patients' time. I would not recommend relying on this office for accurate scheduling information. read more

I've called several times to have them fix it but they just keep billing me 700$ for one ultrasound DO NOT GO HERE! Over the course of three weeks, I had three consecutive appointments rescheduled -- not due to any issue on my part, but because your office failed to proactively verify my insurance coverage with my carrier. This is a carrier your practice accepts, and my plan covers the services in question. The burden of resolving this was placed entirely on me, requiring me to contact my insurance carrier directly and arrange for them to reach out to your front desk -- a process that should have been handled internally by your staff before my first appointment. Additionally, I received an excessive volume of confirmation messages -- upward of 45 texts across these appointments. This level of automated communication is not only unnecessary, it is disruptive and counterproductive. I expect a higher standard of administrative competence and patient communication from a healthcare provider. read more

This place is a complete dumpster fire. I went in on 5-26 and 5-28 (today) and both times I witnessed practices that would make your skin crawl. I'll start with the "good" if you even want to call it that...the gentleman I sat next to had been waiting for almost 2 hours past his scheduled appointment time. There was another man after him that had been there for an hour. I was 30 minutes in and knew I had no chance to last another hour at the least, so I rescheduled. But here's the thing, all the warning signs are there when you walk in, all you have to do is look at the walls and floors...the dirt on the floors and the scuffs and dings on the walls are a clear indicator you have entered the land of no f's given. Once you're in the back, if you make it that far, you will be asked to change into a gown in a bathroom. On the 26th I was lucky enough to enter this bathroom right after one of the technicians relieved their bowels of some powerful Asian cuisine, it was delightful. I closed the door to change and realized there is no place to set your things, no counter top, no little stool, nothing. That means they expect you to put your clothes on the floor or on top of the defiled toilet. The lockers also don't work. And the machine itself was from 1963. The male tech was impossible to understand and the female tech was fighting for her life to just get the f out of there. Be ware of this place, enter at your own risk. read more

I didn't even step foot in this place and I can tell it's ripe with "training issues" as Reeham has stated. I received a referral to SimonMed for dual shoulder MRI's with contrast. I actually had a referral somewhere else, but it was out a month and a half. My insurance called other providers before redirecting the referral, to make sure that they; 1. Provide the services needed and 2. Had availability sooner than what I had scheduled. Great. They had availability "as soon as today or tomorrow if (they) had the orders". Wait the 2 days for it to be redirected. I call (June 30th) and speak to someone who books me an appointment by LOOKING UP MY AUTHORIZATION. I am scheduled for July 11th at 10:15am. I then receive a text message on July 2nd saying that they hadn't received the order and would need to reschedule unless I got it to them. So, I call my insurance the fax it over and it is confirmed as received. I get another text message confirming my appointment and providing me with a link to fill out forms. Fast forward to July 9th. I receive another text message that says they cancelled my appointment because they don't have the order. I spend an hour and 45 minutes with my insurance on the phone as well as SimonMed on the line with my insurance. Appointment is moved to July 16th. They have the order at least... So I called SimonMed Imaging and they tell me that there's an issue with the order and that I need an MRI with contrast and without. Because they won't be able to compare. Ok... kinda makes sense. THEN...I get a text message this morning saying that they don't have my order for my appointment and that they will need to reschedule. So, I do what? I call again. I file a grievance with SimonMed Imaging. 45 minutes later. I learn that we are at an impasse. BUT I get a text with a link for forms for the appointment. Just got of the phone with Reeham (spelling?), who called me, and said that they don't do the service I need and that I will have to have my referral sent elsewhere. I ask how this happened. I was told it was a training issue. I seriously questioned that considering that between my insurance and myself, I spoke to 5 different people. This is a foundational issue. How would I even be able to trust any of their radiologists to even read the images? Sounds like a company that expanded too quickly, has a high rate of turnover and an abysmal management. Do yourself and spare yourself the headache and anger, go somewhere else. This is a laughable attempt at being a medical provider. read more

They were unable to scan an area yesterday, which was an inconvenience but I will say that the young lady at the front desk was so helpful and kind. Didn't get her name but she had glasses on and salt and pepper hair, as you face the desk she was the one on the right, not the one right next to the window. I hope her boss sees this cause she was definitely the most pleasant and professional to work with. read more

Avoid this facility if you can-dealing with them was one headache after another. Communication and scheduling issues right off the bat, their automated system creates more problems than anything, but the final straw was their scheduling my mother's appointment for 1 pm, telling her to get there 15 minutes early when they aren't even there because they go to lunch. She has mobility problems and back problems-getting around and sitting for periods of time is very painful for her. When we arrived early as they instructed, only to discover they are out to lunch from 12-1, the receptionist informed us this info was on their website and she was "clocked out" and wouldn't help us. While we waited out in the uncomfortable, noisy entryway of the building, I called their main office and was told this shouldn't be the case-they should have been staffed. My mother said the technician was at least pleasant, which accounts for the one star. I should have looked at these reviews and requested a different imaging facility that provides the bare minimum of clear communication, and courtesy and consideration for patients who have chronic pain. read more

I recently had an appointment to have an MRI here I walked in to what felt like I cheap clinic. about 10 chairs side by side, some people had masks I should have worn gloves No hello from the receptionist , just name. There was a curtain which I thought was usually .. I walked in when called to what clearly was piles of gowns and towels everywhere. Not in a closed closet like they belong I was told to change in the one bathroom they had with a chair next to the toilet. Not a professional business like setting or dressing room! Going into the MRi room wasn't any nicer it was so disorganized, technician covered me with a blanket since it was cold however when I was done, I noticed she just threw it there, so I'm wondering if she didn't put a blanket on me that somebody else had used! The office experience is awful. The scheduling department treated me very badly. I asked to talk to supervisor, they assured that the supervisor will call me, but they just ignored me. I did not receive any call. My ultrasound appointment is very important for me, they canceled last minute at Redlands office. They did rescheduling without my consent twice. I stayed without care. Staff is very unprofessional, just got off the phone with them after being 5 min away saying our appointment is at 6'o clock when it was 9am but they were going to have to cancel and reschedule after receiving multiple calls and texts days before confirming our appointment. Update: They admitted to the Office of the CA Attorney General that they overcharged and blamed it on an "estimate" that was 3x the actual amount. Funny how even when they know to only charge my copay they "accidentally" do it twice. Just don't bother with them. read more

Oh Mt God ! Stay away from these people ! My wife was referred for an ultrasound. She scheduled the appointment on March 8th to be seen on March 15th. Since then we have robo called 2 or 3 times a day to "Set an appointment." We are STILL getting the robo calls and this is March 24th! If you get referred to this radiology clinic by your doctor automatically ask for another place to go. The first time we came my husband was told that this clinic only takes PPO insurance in a condescending manner. We have an HMO that we pay for out of pocket. We decided to go to a different location with the same referral where we waited for two hours only to be told that the doctor had referred us to the Redlands location so we would have to go there they were unable to help us. We are back at the Redlands location waiting to find out if we will be able to get the ultrasound done hopefully it won't be another two hours only to be tuned away again. read more

Pregnant first time mama here! I just want to give a huge shoutout to Michelle my Sonographer. My baby is beyond stubborn and wouldn't ever cooperate for Michelle. She always kept her cool and made such good conversation with me. I'm not as outgoing and bubbly these days but for some reason she made me comfortable enough to come out of my shell. I'm not kidding when I say my baby is stubborn... had to go in THREE separate times for my anatomy scan and on the third try we finally got all of the images we needed. Every time Michelle gave me an ultrasound she was sure to capture some sweet videos and pictures for me so at the end I could snap them on my phone. She even found out gender of my baby boy but wasn't 100% sure so she ordered another ultrasound from my doctor to get it 100% the next time I saw her. Michelle is THE BEST. I highly recommend SimonMed and Michelle of you are an expecting mama and have a choice as to where you get your ultrasounds done. Seriously, thank you so so much Michelle. My doctor ordered an MRI in advance of a procedure the following week. I received a call from SimonMed scheduling my appointment for Thursday at 7:45 AM, I was told to arrive 10 minutes early. I arrived on time, the staff did not. I stood in front of the locked door waiting, my appointment time came and went. Finally, someone arrived (Shay I believe?) Standing causes me a great deal of pain, so I was glad I would finally be able to come in and sit down. The employee opened the door, never once acknowledging that I was standing right there, went through the door and then shut the door, in my face, literally. I then waited by the door for 10 more minutes until Calie finally arrived and let me in. Once inside, Shay continued to be condescending and rude while she informed me that I would have to pay my co-pay up front (yeah, no kidding). I recognize that this office does not open until 8:00 AM. So, they may have forgotten that they had scheduled me for a 7:45 AM appointment, or maybe they were just running late. Both of those things are easily forgivable. But I took time off of work to be there on time and to have the door shut in my face as I waited patiently for them or to never receive an apology for being kept waiting is beyond unprofessional. However, they were very understanding and sent me, that veru same day, to their Riverside facility which has an open MRI. I brought my father in a couple of weeks ago for an MRI, he had been in so much pain in the days leading into his exam and their MRI Tech took her time to accommodate him and was so sympathetic to his circumstances. Let me start by saying that if I had a business that the young women at the Redlands office is the type of employees I would want. They were helpful, polite and able to answer all my questions in a professional, yet friendly manner. Then there's Sunny at the Riverside office! She took my call when I was upset! She very calmly, politely and efficiently resolved my issue that was in no way Simon Imaging's fault. She patiently searched, called and contacted everyone at every office that she needed to speak with to resolve my issue. She could have easily just given ph. numbers and instructions to call for myself. She even called the Redlands office and made my appt. for me to insure I had everything resolved with this one call and would have to do nothing further. This not only highly impressed me and made my day hectic day easier, but gave me hope that the younger generation still has a work ethic, can be empathic and professional. I can't remember the technicians name that did my ultrasounds but she was sooo sweet and professional! The whole staff was friendly! My technician made sure I was okay the whole procedure. We even talked about how I'm currently going to school to be a technician and how some people call x-ray technicians "button pushers". This term is not right, because if it weren't for technicians doing their jobs; doctors would have a hard time finding out exactly what's wrong with people without much needed x-rays. Technicians don't do everything nurses do but they definitely deserve to be called something other than button pushers because they still save lives and care about patients. To me X-Ray technicians are the brains behind medical care because they have to know the anatomy of what parts they are x-raying, they are constantly learning new things, and they still have to keep their professional composure when seeing a tumor or cancer on the screen. I will definitely go back to this facility if I ever need more screenings done! Thank you for making my nervous self feel better during my procedures just by talking to me about the field I'm going into! If I could I'd give this facility 10 stars because there wasn't one rude staff personnel in there! read more
