Let me start by saying yes my daughter parked in the wrong spot, and yes the complex called to have the vehicle towed. However, the overall service was very unprofessional, including getting our vehicle stuck in their own yard while they were trying to release it. My biggest complaint is for the over charging on the after hours fees. The state website list the fees as 19.95 per 15 minutes. However, we were charged a flat 120.00, and they were already at the shop working (it was a Saturday which they can charge for), and they were bringing in other vehicles. Our vehicle was picked up at approximately 1300 hours, and my wife and daughter were there getting the car at approximately 1400 hours. Therefore, I am unable to see how they spent more than 15 minutes "dealing" with our vehicle after hours. Furthermore, there is no documentation of the time they spent. When I asked the employees why they charged 120.00, all they said was that that's their standard afterhours fees. Per state regulations they have to document the time on the invoice spent for the afterhours fees, and there was no documentation. I followed up with several calls trying to speak to the owner, and I never got a returned call. read more

My daughter was stranded on the Cimmaron turnpike with a flat tire. She contacted AAA and they indicated they didn't have a service provider that could help her. I started calling towing companies and Simon's answered on the first ring. They were able to get her helped out, right away. As an added bonus they are a AAA affiliate, so the service was covered! This lady that owns this business is about the angriest non truth telling person that I've ever dealt with. Just wow!! Their truck breaks down, we wait 2.5 hours for another truck and then she says I'm paying for both trucks or she's towing mine away. She told me to "sue her" for the damages she did to my truck when her old rusty cable broke. It busted out the grill on my Mack truck and she has the nerve to tell me it was already busted. She's the most unprofessional person I've dealt with in all of my years. I'd hate to see what my company would look like if I treated folks how she did. I was traveling back home with my two cats in the car. It was a very hot day. My cats hate traveling so I pulled over on the side of the road to see why one of them wouldn't quit crying/meowing. They wouldn't be comforted. I was sitting there quite some time with the A/C on. When I decided to get back on the road my car stalled out. So I rolled the windows down, let it rest for a while, then started it back up. I tried to get back on the highway and went over the rumble strip. Then the engine started sounding like it had a flat tire. However, the tire pressure light wasn't on. I finally called AAA to get a tow as it wasn't resolving itself. The driver, Lane, was awesome. He called his boss to find out best options for me and gave me the name of the AAA auto service shop. He got there as quickly as he could. Left his A/C on so I could put my cats in their carriers in the truck to cool down while I got my things. He got my car loaded up on his flatbed truck faster than I have ever experienced before. He and I were both calling car rental places until we found one that could get me a car the next day. He was taking me to a AAA Hotel to drop my cats, my luggage and stuff off, when I saw a hotel that had a Starbucks and Mexican restaurant within easy walking distance. He kept the A/C on and stayed with my cats while I went inside to see if they allowed pets. They did. So I went back with a luggage cart, he brought my luggage while I got my pets inside. Then I looked over everything he brought and he asked if there were anything else I needed. I had a bag with my cats food, bowls, etc. He told me don't worry, he'd get it and took the cart back up for me. Since the car rental can't pick me up tomorrow, he said if I couldn't get an Uber, to call him and he would drive me there! I tipped Lane, pretty well, thanked him profusely, and just can't remember better customer service ever! I am so glad that AAA used Simon's as their provider. And that Lane was my tow truck driver! Great job! And no, I don't work for them. I don't live here. I just have to applaud excellence when I experience it. read more

We were calling to see about getting our daughter's car that he towed and instead of simply answering our questions about when and where we can get it and how much it would be, he started going on and on about why she shouldn't have parked where she did and all sorts of other stuff. We had not said a single word about whether he should've towed it or not. Then when we asked how much he said about $220. What does that mean? Is it $220 or something else? In this case we had no choice but to do business with this jerk, but should you have the option, I would look for any place else. read more

10-24-23 Daughter called AAA for flat tire in Stillwater, OK. Simon's Towing responded. It was raining. Then started to rain harder. Daughter told tow driver the flat was NOT retaining air and asked that the spare tire be put on. Tow driver looked at, didn't touch or hold or otherwise check, the spare donut tire and said it, too, was flat. He put air into the flat that was not retaining air and had my daughter drive to the Firestone about a mile away while it was raining even harder. By the time she got there the TIRE WAS FLAT AGAIN!!!! Tow driver should have TOWED the car but little girlie man didn't want to get wet in the rain!!! Where is this guy from, California!!???! So Firestone inspected the flat and replaced it completely because it was not able to be patched or otherwise repaired. This guy has serious issues!! I have never been treated so rudely. He walked up to us and did not say hi or anything and asked for driver's license and AAA card with an attitude from the start. He then proceed to come up with all kinds of reason that he could not tow my vehicle and said that I had to call AAA and get them to approve even though they are the ones that sent him. As I am talking with AAA he keeps talking over me and I couldn't even hear the lady. I let her know what was going on and he starts screaming like a crazy person to tell the truth (which I was) and I finally told the lady to send someone else. My son learned a lesson to move his car after the football game with having his vehicle towed; however, when he got back from picking it up, he noticed damage not previously on his vehicle. He called Simons Towing about it and they said to bring it in. Not saying they are responsible, but the owner and his wife's treatment of my two sons was worse than anything I've heard, telling them to get the F off their property, then threatened them with a slander lawsuit if they said anything. There was one young man who took the time to see what my sons were concerned about, but the owner told him to get inside. So, I'm exercising my right to freedom of speech to let everyone know what dirt bags they are for talking to anyone in that manner. Very rude driver, don't use this people. I call AAA for a lock out service. Driver showed up, He asked for my AAA card and ID, Then says you better have proof of ownership in the car or I'm going to lock it again. I asked him why was he so rude, disrespectful and hostile? He then said " I can leave and there's no one close by to help you. He left , I called AAA back and they got a hold of them, the driver lied and said that I never showed him my AAA card and ID. So helpful! a few years ago, I was driving back home from a sorority event late one night when my boots got caught on the pedals and I skidded off the road. Way out in the middle of nowhere in a snow bank. I was so scarred because I didn't know what to do so my dad called AAA. Thank goodness for Simon Towing. They took me and my car all the way to Stillwater in the middle of a snow storm and knew just what to do. They even waited for my dad to come get me. Very rude and hostile. I do not understand why they were certified by AAA. Sounded like they didn't want to do the job request but instead of declining the job they yell at me because they have to tow 170 miles. DO NOT USE THIS TOW SERVICE. I hired this tow company through AAA to tow my car. I handed the driver my key and he loaded up my car and drove away. Somehow, the driver lost the key. They are saying I never gave it to him, and called me a liar. They are refusing to reimburse me for the lost key. DO NOT EVER USE THIS GUY TO TOW YOUR CAR. I dealt with Simon himself, and he was the ABSOLUTE WORST person I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with in a situation of towing a car. You already don't want to be in the situation of having to tow your car and it can be a frustrating ordeal to begin with. This guy DOES NOT make this any better. In fact, he makes it so much worse to where you are just miserable by the end of it. I called AAA out to help me two days in a row (the first time to jump start my car and the second time to tow it) and it is unfortunate that this is the only person they will send out to help. During my first encounter, he didn't tell me he had arrived yet and I was very surprised to receive a call from him telling me to hurry up and get out front because he had 4 other calls to deal with after me. Then as soon as I get outside he yells at me to pop the hood and got angry that I wasn't constantly cranking the ignition when he never told me to do so. The second encounter, he had us (several girls) completely push the car onto his truck when this is his job to do. He got upset when one of us was not steering the car the way he wanted (even though he gave no directions about how to do this) and yelled, "Hey, Pal! You wanna actually help us here?!" So rude. We had to have another guy in the parking lot help us to push the car up onto his truck because he was no help. He was very gruff, non-communicative (except to tell us when we were doing something wrong), and overall a rude person. I would not feel comfortable sitting in the passenger seat with this angry and hostile man if we had to go a long distance. read more

A terrible experience with getting my car impounded and getting stranded by the police was made so much worse by an individual at this so-called "business". Even with all the legal documents this maniac refused to release my car. I could tell he was upset that I asked to inspect the car before I paid him the $177 fee, but he didn't say anything until I complained about the cash only policy. At that point he flew into the sort of rage I've only seen a few times in my life, and never in the professional realm. I've read several reviews about Simon's on other sites and unfortunately, my experience is normal operating procedure for them. This man was nothing but a hot tempered bully and thief. Even after I called the Sheriff's office on him, he refused to release my car (deputy said he had no power since it was on private property. What about MY private property?!) Luckily, I went back later in the day when a different employee was working and received my car without incident. Anyone needing to pick up their car from impound here would be best advised to not come alone under any circumstance. The first review on this company must've been done by Zack himself. His "Knowledge of physics"?? What a joke. I'd give this review zero stars if it were an option. Just as rude as they are lazy. I've dealt with maybe two dozen wrecker services over the years, but I didn't know you could be sooo lazy that you'd rather find reasons you can't tow it than simply get paid to drive. That's LAZY for you. The grease monkey I spoke with also seemed to have disabilities which may be a liability , so maybe this is a good thing he didn't transport it. He proceeded to give me excuses why he couldn't tow it and when I'd given him valid reason he excuse didn't apply, he'd come up with another ludacrous excuse. After about 4 excuses, he simply thought I was "arguing" with him (because he got caught up and called out for his ignorance. He'd also got his feelings hurt and told me he'd been doing this for 15 years. I call BS! A 2 hour round trip isn't fun, however, getting paid (not to mention, outrageous fee's "$450.00) should make it whole lot less painful. Let's not forget, it's their job. Bottom line, Etremely LAZY, RUDE, and GROSSLY OVERPRICED. Lets change the way these pathetic companies operate by not letting them get away with it.
