The entire staff was friendly and professional. No pressure, just eagerness to help you find something you'll love. They have a great selection of timepieces and jewelry, and take a fair approach if you want to be added to a waiting list for a model that isn't currently in stock. My experience with other dealers is that they want you to put a down payment, and I've also felt pressured at other places to invest in other pieces to get up higher on the list. Not so at Simon's! I worked with Stacy and she was wonderful, however Simon also introduced himself. And the gentleman who sized our watches also did a great job. Customer care is nearly zero. Brought in a Rolex Datyona for a stem repair beginning of March. 5 weeks to 2 months was the estimated time. 2 months go by with no call. I call and they say "oh with covid Rolex is closed and it will be due in June. Ok, i understood that. June and July go by and no call. When I call at the beginning of August the answer was not sure why its wasn't approved for repair but it may be ready in September! Seriously 7 months for a watch repair even if you take away 3 months for Covid with no calls or follow up is so unprofessional. Not feeling good that i will ever get this watch back.... read more

I went here to shop for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Overall, I had a very good experience here. The store itself is beautiful, and they have a wide selection of jewelry. They were attentive to us as customers, offering us something to drink when we arrived. Every time I came in, the owner made a point of checking in with us each time; I really think he cares about his customers' satisfaction. They also had lots of rings for us to look at. We ultimately got a ring from Simon's, but fitted it with a stone from another store. They showed me the stones they had, and while they didn't show me anything like I was looking for, I can't blame it on them; I was in a hurry and didn't really have time for them to keep trying to find what I was looking for. So like I said, I got the ring from them. I bought it on a tax free weekend, so I saved a lot. I brought them my stone (which I purchased elsewhere), and they put it on the ring. They did not charge for this, which I thought was nice. Also, they said it would take 2-3 weeks to get it done, but they had it ready in just 1 week! I was in the market for a very specific and hard to get timepiece. I called the store and I was told that the watch is available at the store. I had a lot of questions about the watch's functions both in-store and over the phone and I visited the store 2-3 times before making a decision. The entire team provided excellent service but I want to mention Mike Dobrich for being so patient answering all of my questions with kindness and providing an outstanding buying experience. I have to admit that Simons was not on our list when we first started ring shopping. I mean, it's in Clayton, they have valet parking, and they sell Rolexes. Also, check out those $$$$, four dollar signs!! Sounded like snob city to me. So, instead we went to the big box jewelry store where we felt treated like cattle and they pressured the hell out of my fiance, even asking me to wait in another room so they could get him alone. Next, we went to the super small mom and pop jewelry store that has been around forever. I'm sure they have a very loyal customer base, but didn't seem to thrilled about window shoppers and their selection was a bit too dated for my modern tastes. Then, we heard an ad on the radio for Simon's tax free weekend. We thought, yeah, that sounds cool, but it is Simons...even without tax, it's probably still more expensive than anywhere else. But, we had yet to find a ring I loved and I work nearby so I thought I'd pop in and take a look to see if it was even worth it. As a woman going into a jewelry store by herself in work clothes at lunchtime, I may as well have been wearing a neon sign saying "definitely no sale here!," but they were SO nice to me regardless. They offered me water and candy and let me try on multiple rings without ever making me feel like I was inconveniencing them. In the end, I had the helpful gentleman write down a few of my faves, sent my then-boyfriend back, and 2 months later, I was surprised with one of them. We just bought our wedding rings from them last weekend at the next tax-free event. They actually remembered my fiance from last fall even though he had only been there once in his whole life. They also put up with my total indecisiveness and need to try and re-try rings a thousand times. With the tax-free weekend we saved a ton of money and had a great pressure-free experience. Don't let the address and valet scare you, Simons may actually be the least snobby place in Clayton! read more

The entire process of buying a nice IWC watch was perfect for me. I started working with Michael in late 2019, he was knowledgable, patient and always knew who I was when I visited. I received the same treatment from other staff members such as Terri who always took time to show me the pieces I was interested in and made sure all my questions were answered. Putting this review in a little late but I walked in Simons and wanted to purchase a pre-owned Rolex. I asked a worker to view the Rolex and he proceeded to tell me that due to prior issues he could not show me the watch and that his manager would have to show me the watch. While the manager showed me the watch two workers went and stood by the door. However, there were other customers in the store looking at jewelry with no problems. I did not feel welcomed and completely discriminated against. I have purchased several Rolex watches from other authorized Rolex dealers with exceptional service but I will never be purchasing from Simons. They have horrible customer service. When I first started looking at engagement rings, my fiancé wanted to be sure it was EXACTLY what I wanted. And finding that locally without going to a big box store isn't easy. Well, Simons isn't exactly "local" to us, we live 1.5 hours away but because I visit St.L often and have family there we thought we'd try a few stores. I have to say I was a little intimidated when we got to the area.... it's Clayton, expensive and high end stores. But I wanted to give it a shot. And I am SOOO glad we did!! Albert was amazing!! He worked hard to find the exact diamond I was looking for. He took the time to later talk on the phone and walk me through the website to find the PERFECT diamond. He knew the quality I wanted and helped me find everything that was on my list. And each time we went to the store we were treated with ZERO pressure. Their #1 priority was to make sure we were happy with the ring.... and we ARE! My fiance also got his wedding ring there. I don't normally write reviews... not good ones, and not bad ones. When we were looking for a place to simply scout engagement rings, Simons came highly recommended, as did a couple other places. We went to each, but Simons was easily the top in terms of customer service. The staff was very patient with us as we tried on several rings to get an idea of what she liked and didn't like. Simon himself even helped out, and the whole staff put us as ease. For buying the ring, I worked with Al, who continued to be patient with me as I looked for the perfect ring for my bride-to-be. They kept working with me to find that special ring, even after I sent a couple of their orders back because they just weren't quite what I was looking for. In the end, we got the perfect ring, and ended up going back for our wedding bands, since we were so impressed with the effort they put in for us. The customer service went from 100 to 0 really fast. I'm STILL waiting on my rings. I ordered them in a timely manner and received them too large (BOTH were at least 1 size too large). They sent them to NY to have them fixed and told me it would take 10 days.. I called about 14 working days later and they shipped my rings to Germany. -No heads up! No status update! It's unbelievable. I complained to the store and they blame me for my finger shrinking- after asking around I've learned your finger does not shrink 2 sizes. Anyhow, now I have been given a new guy to contact in regards to my rings. He original told me to call him by the end of last week. Which lead to him telling me he never said that and him pushing back the date to mid this week. ALSO, he never cared to respond to my email, FB message or post. He decided to call my partner and tell him we will give us our money back.. WELL after waiting months for the rings that is what he has to offer? No one ever said that, we just want our rings. This place has been such a hassle. They have killed the 'moment' and have caused me to push back a lot of plans (some missed out on); they have also ruined the whole ring buying experience. I felt this place would uphold to their location and 'name'.. Not in this case. TERRRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Old school, zero pressure service. the watch salespeople know their watches, movements, history, brands. where else in st louis can you find jaeger lecoultre, much less people whom have heard of that brand. They've a great selection of pre owned timepieces. if you want a gawdy rolex, or a nice conservative Sea dweller, this is the place to browse the selection. I've seen everything from Daytonas to Master Controls, to tacky breitlings, to a used Vacheron once. and the staff knows the history, options, and clientele s needs. i believe they double the rolex warranty as well, on new pieces. despite being in clayton, this store isn't pretentious at all. they're as happy to sell a 75k platinum rolex to you as a used reverso. they allow you to take your time, talk about brands, browse, and can advise regarding depreciation, quality, and servicing. their ring selections are stunning as well. read more

Terrible...bought a ring in Harrods London by Thomas Sabo.....needed to see if it could be made just a half size larger...was told by Mr Simon it was steel.....NOT...it is silver and has the silver stamp inside along with the artist signature, had he taken the time to look he would have seen. Simon left me an impression of someone who is not as worldly as he would like others to believe ...could have had more professional help at Helzberg and that is not saying much. read more

Went there twice to get Engagement ring and wedding band. First time they could not get or did not want to get the diamond I was looking for (said there wasn't any for sale). So, I drove 4 hrs. to a store that bought me three yellow diamonds to choose between and I had never been there before. Second time I paid for the wedding band and they ordered it. Received a phone call later telling me they ordered the wrong one and I owed quite a bit more even though my receipt says the right ring. I called and was told that it was my fault. Will NEVER return and would not recommend them to anyone. I am in sales as well and if I tell a customer that I messed up and it was the wrong one, I have to pay for it not the customer. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED. Not to mention I live over 100 miles away from them. read more
