I will go out of my way to go to this store. Even though it's a mom and pop store, they seem to have the same or better prices than other pet shops around. They have brands that Petco and PetSmart don't carry and are better for your dog anyways! The owners are very nice and have recommended several brands for my dog. This is my favorite pet food store. Kevin, Claudia and the staff do everything they can for our family. When I had surgery and couldn't get out they delivered to my house! I never remember what my dogs eat but they always do :-). If I tell them my dog has it itch they give me something that makes him stop scratching. I say they are chewing my lawn or couches they find me a new toy or some advise to give him/ them something else to concentrate on. Always dependable, always real, Also dog owners. I love this store! The owners of Simpawtico are very friendly and helpful! They offered great advice when my dog was having an issue with her nose being dry and peeling, the vet didn't have much to say but the owners suggested a new grain free diet rich in Omega-3's(I opted for the Salmon formula per their suggestion) and it worked like a charm! An employee was also very helpful with good advice regarding another issue for my dog's hacking cough(again the vet's idea of kennel cough and antibiotics didn't help) and the suggestion of raw goat milk is helping! I guess it acts like an antihistamine, I didn't expect that they could help but they're so knowledgeable! I'm so glad this store is so close to my house! read more

They are the best! They have record of your past purchases (incase you forgot the brand/flavor you buy) and carry out the dog food bags for you. One time my kid fell asleep in the car and I didn't want to wake him, but needed dog food...I called them and they came out to my car, and took my credit card/ran it, and loaded the bags...didn't have to even go in the store, amazing service! read more

Friendly, accessible, easy parking, diverse variety of options -- what isn't to love? I came in one day asking for help creating a selection of wet food for our kitties that was grain free, poultry free and beef free. The owner spent 20 minutes reading over all of the labels with me so that I could leave with a stack of cans to try. Plus, the are one of the few places in Denver that carries Pure Vita dry food, which we need for our kitties and is hard to find (although they only regularly carry the small bags, they can order bigger ones too if you'd prefer). Awesome customer service The owners are super friendly and helpful every time I've been in here, and I feel like the genuinely care about my pup's health. I have a golden retriever mix that has several food allergies and a sensitive belly, so I stick with the higher quality, natural pet food brands like the ones they carry here. A few months ago, the brand that I was feeding changed their formula and it starting causing problems for my pup so I had to look for something new. I felt like we had already tried all of the options at the other neighborhood store, so I decided to see if Simpawtico had anything different to offer. From the moment we walked in, the owner was so helpful - listening to my concerns, explaining the different foods they carry, and offering several suggestions that I had not seen or considered before. I was impressed with their selection and knowledge, and walked out with new food that has been working great for my pup for several months. Flash forward to a couple of weeks ago when I was sitting on I-25 in terrible traffic and realized that I wasn't going to have enough time to pick up dog food before I had to be somewhere else. And because I am a procrastinator, I had waited until I was completely out of dog food. I called Simpawtico and even though they don't normally deliver, the owner came to the rescue and offered to make a special delivery. He arrived with the food at my house at the same time I did and I was able to feed my hungry pup and run back out the door in time for my appointment. What a huge relief this was for me and my pup. After finding Simpawtico, I won't go anywhere else for all my doggy's supplies--the owners are good, kind people and their business is a wonderful asset to our community. I found this place originally after my vet confirmed my suspicions that the redness and irritation on my dog's skin was probably being caused by his food. Rufio is a Xoloitzcuintle, a Mexican hairless dog, so his skin needs a lot of care living in Colorado. When my friend suggested I check out Simpawtico, I really knew very little about what goes into pet food. Not only did Kevin and Claudia take the time to answer all my questions, I appreciated that they never took a "preachy" tone about all of the potential allergy triggers in the big brand pet food (Purina) that I had been feeding my pup. Instead, they helped me pick out a stellar, natural brand and I immediately saw Rufio's skin clear up. Since that first visit, I look forward to taking Rufio with me whenever I visit Simpawtico. The owners know my name and Rufio's, and they always have treats and light up when they see us. I even stop in just to say hi when I'm in the area! They have rugged coats, great bones and treats and an incredible menagerie of animal toys. Rufio has a whole basket of sharks, squirrels, bears and snakes and if a squeaker breaks, it's good to know they carry replacement squeakers too! I have nothing against big pet food stores, but this small business provides so much more, both in terms of quality products and fantastic customer service. This store offers the best pet supplies in Denver. They offer a wide range of different brands of food that are a bit higher than some online retailers but the customer service is always great. They offer the largest bully sticks I have been able to find & they also had some organic pureed pumpkin to help sooth my pups stomach when she got sick. She also loved the ostrich legs that they had too! Really this was our one stop shop for all our pet needs. The parking lot is super small & compact which made it frustrating at some times of the day but what Simpawtico offered was worth the hassle. read more
