Coming to The Caffeinated Cow was such a delight! I'm always happy to support small businesses,…read moreespecially in small towns like Cheraw, and I love visiting local coffee shops for specialty lattes. So, seeing this place right across the street from the Marriott I was staying at was exciting. The ambiance is cozy yet spacious, with plenty of seating. I could totally see myself sitting down with a laptop to get some work done if I were a local. To the left, they have an ice cream parlor where you can get different scoops or milkshakes, while the right side is where they take orders. Behind the counter is where the magic happens with their coffee drinks. The young ladies working inside were very nice on both of my visits and super patient with me when I told them I had lost my voice. One girl on my first visit even pulled out a pad and pen so I could write my order down. Haha! On my first visit, I ordered a blueberry muffin iced latte, and on my second, I tried the chocolate-covered strawberry iced latte (both February specials). They were delightful--full of flavor but not overly sugary, so I could still taste the coffee. Honestly, I can't say I've ever seen or had either of these flavors at the many local coffee shops I've visited over the years. All in all, The Caffeinated Cow is a must-visit if you're in or near Cheraw. Tbh, your options for local coffee are pretty limited in this area, so it's a good thing this place serves up delicious drinks with great service. Lol.

There is plenty of space and tables for dining.I ordered the burger and fries. The burger came with onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and banana peppers with your choice of cheddar or provolone cheese. As you can see, I chose cheddar, and I added bacon. The burger had one small strip of bacon, about two small pieces of banana pepper, and about two small round pickles; it was a bit disappointing because they skimped on those toppings for the size of the burger. Overall, the burger was okay. The fries were like crispy fries. I did like that they were hot. I noticed something was on the plate near the fries, so I didn't eat many after that. I honestly was starving, so I was grateful for the little bit I did eat, but yeah, it was not as pleasing as I would have hoped for in a meal here.

I have visited this location many times…read morebecause the food is usually really good however, this is the first time that I must say I was treated horribly, and to my surprise it was by the manager and not the staff. I ordered a burger that was not well done and when I returned to the restaurant to speak to the manager, Hayles, who identified herself as the manager I was completely talked down to and not shown any respect as a customer. She accused me of speaking loudly, which was false and then proceeded to cut me off while I was trying to explain the issue I had with my order. I was not being argumentative and was only looking for a solution to this issue. A family member called the restaurant hoping to get a better response and Hayles answered the phone and continued with the same rude behavior and hung up the phone on my family member. A second call to the restaurant by that same family member (because she was hung up on the first time) was answered by Carlos who responded pretty much the same way as Hayles did by yelling and hanging up the phone. It is hard to believe that this location got several great reviews and I had such an unpleasant experience. Never have I been treated with so much disrespect. In my opinion if this is the way the manager handles business at this location there is a serious problem. My reviews will not stop here, I will post on google, Facebook, BBB and contact Hwy 55 DM, RM and corporate and if management still does not care, then that just further proves my point.

I love that they have a sugar-free option in their ice cream menu, the only part I would've preferred was that they had more than just that single option (for sugar-free selections). That said I have no complaints, everybody here was very pleasant and welcoming and professional, and the product itself was high quality for sure. I would love to give this place five full stars but I'll hold off until they have a few more sugar-free options for folks. I mean it though it's only the fact that they had just one choice of sugar free ice cream, that is the ONLY downside. But I can tell they're on the way up so the next time I go out there I hope to update this review with a fifth star!! That said, I will say we got two desserts here one was the strawberry shortcake. It tasted absolutely phenomenal, very fresh. I wouldn't be surprised if that was homemade ice cream, and it could've been more than a few hours old shortcake. The second dessert we tried was the peach cobbler with the butter, pecan, sugar-free ice cream, I could not tell that it was sugar-free, some of the best sugar-free ice cream I've ever had, And the dessert itself once again tasted extremely fresh. I made the statement after it was all over, that I can absolutely tell (from my experience today at Peaches n Cream) when something is fresh and when it's not. They really know how to do it.

Their ice cream is always delicious. On this trip, since it was strawberry season, I chose strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries and a scoop of homemade strawberry ice cream. It was outstanding and the service was good! The five stars is for its ice cream... The Berry Patch has about any produce item that you can think of. They have it... but in my opinion, it is overpriced! Today, they had seeded watermelons from Florida for $17.99, Athena cantaloupes that looked past prime for 4.99, and local strawberries for $8.00 a quart.

I originally discovered the Berry Patch on Social and saved it on maps, knowing that at some point we'd make it! Well that day was today! When we pulled up the parking lot was quite full and the lines were long, but they moved relatively quickly, which we were thankful for. They have a lot of flavors to choose from, including options with a slice of pie or cobbler that are sweet and honestly delicious. If you're into ice cream this a place definitely worth adding to your bucket list, as you try multiple flavors on each visit and never have the same one twice. Seating is somewhat limited on a busy day, but they do have numerous chairs and a outdoor picnic area. It was fun to see adults and kids alike both enjoying a wide variety of flavors. They of course have several portion sizes available ranging from kids cups to a quart size cups and some that appear even larger if you're looking to indulge! Overall, if you're traveling off the beaten path and need a break, the Berry Patch is a great stop, especially when it's hot to grab a delicious ice cream from a super unique giant berry building! Guten Appetit!
