Simple Elegance Catering deserve five stars because they made my party so wonderful! On 7/27, Saturday, I had a BBQ party at my house with 45 guests. It's a party for all my family members to meet my first grandson. The catering team arrived on time at my house. They prepared and set up everything so nicely in the backyard of my house. I hired the BBQ cook and server, they were very nice, fun & professional! I don't have to worry to cook and serve, i just relax and entertain all guests. Food were so delicious! Delicious brunch food, reasonable prices, but day of service could use some work. Planning: We hired Simple Elegance to cater a post-wedding brunch in April 2011. Traci & Mara, our main contacts prior to the event, were super responsive and great to work with. To help us decide which caterer to go with, we went to Ruggie's Restaurant for a tasting, and they let us order anything we wanted on the menu. How could we say no after that? ;) Food: Their brunch food was yummy! We went with a very traditional brunch buffet - scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, sausage, bacon, and a variety of quiche with coffee and juices. Everything was delish. Price ended up being about $30 per person including food, rentals, & service charges. Day of service: Everything started off well, a little late, but that was likely our venue's fault. We had some last minute changes to our table count, but our day of contact Holly was really flexible and made it work. My two gripes were 1) Holly started packing up the food halfway through the 2-hour brunch so guests who arrived late couldn't eat from the buffet, and 2) One of the servers was really rude and told us (the hosts who were paying her!) to get out of her way because we were blocking the doorway. read more

We have just used this company for my husband and my 60th birthday party. We had a pre-tasting for the appetizers and mains which was good to do! The food was excellent and the tri-tip was delicious on the night and the next evening for leftovers! We also had chicken piccata, potatoes and vegetables and salad. Everything about the food was fantastic and so worth recommending to everyone!! Everyone was complimentary on the food but also the servers who were there helping and clearing and were almost invisible! The two ladies on the bar were brilliant and kept everyone going! This is hands down the best catering company I have worked with. I found them a few months ago when I needed help supplying a friend and her family dinners throughout her cancer treatment. Although it was a request out of the ordinary, when this team heard why I was providing these dinners and the special instructions necessary to make this work, they didn't hesitate. We always received the best service from her with yummy sandwiches and salads, ready to go when I picked up. They have moved and now we will use their delivery service. Recently I was pressed for time and needed to order lunch for the office. Traci had accomplished the feat of getting us lunch for our office lickity split. I owe her! We decided to host an impromptu neighbor holiday cheer get together. I looked for caterers in our area in hopes that someone could handle our last minute request. Simple Elegance was more than accommodating in every way. We received rave reviews about the food from our guests. Our bartender was exceptional. Simple Elegance catered our Grand Opening event for our new office for LifePlan Lawyer. They created a menu that was delicious, with hot hors d'oeuvres, a veggie tray and dip and a dessert tray. The food was magnificent! Our friends and clients loved it. Despite our small space, they made it work for set up. Everything was beautifully displayed including cards telling the name of each dish. Wonderful food and service for reasonable prices!! We have used Simple Elegance for 2 events and both were outstanding. Most recently, was my son's college graduation party. The food was excellent with generous portions--and I am big eater too. We had chicken with poached pears, and raisins, and also beef tri-tip with bordelaise sauce. So yummy. The tri tip and chicken were both so tender and tasty. All the sides including the rice pilaf, pasta, caesar salad, and greens with mandarin oranges were delicious too. Worked with Traci who was so pleasant with arranging everything. She had great suggestions for the menu and table cloth colors. My guest count kept on increasing even until the last day (college students don't often plan in advance!) Traci was so great to work with. From delivery of party tables, and chairs, to the food set up everything went so smoothly. Everyone was prompt and was there at my home to set everything up either early or definitely on time so I didn't have to worry about anything. I can't say enough about how nice and great to work with their servers are too--Kathi and Amber. So organized, and prompt. Simple elegance is a wonderful catering service. I love working with them. I worked with Traci to organize a backyard post wedding party for my daughter and son in law who had a small destination wedding in Hawaii. We chose the Hawaiian menu and linen colors to reflect a Hawaiian theme. Traci came to my house to evaluate the venue and had many ideas on how to pull off a great event, from flowers to table arrangements. On the day of the event the food was delicious and beautifully set up buffet style in addition to appetizers that were either at a table or passed around. The coconut shrimp was a hit!!! We had Joe as a bartender and he was fabulous. We also hired 3 servers who worked very hard and did a great job taking care of the table settings, food preparations and all the needs of our guests. We left all the responsibilities to the team from Simple Elegance catering so we could enjoy our guests and everything went smoothly and professionally. They did an excellent job in every way and I received many compliments on the wonderful food and drink served at the party and on the great service from the Simple Elegance team. They seemed happy to make accommodations to our tastes, and their prices are very reasonable. We just had the MOST incredible party hosted by Simple Elegance Catering. From the start they had everything handled. Traci was the most amazing coordinator of EVERYTHING. From the second I called in just to find out about them, she was totally organized and answered every question I had and asked several of her own to make sure she had every detail worked thru. We just hired Simple Elegance catering to do our son's wedding July 29, 2011. We had contracted with them before on a school event, so I knew their food was tasty. But how would they be catering a 200 person wedding on a site with no kitchen?? They were just as wonderful as could be!! The staff worked with our wedding coordinator, Kristy Nolan of Kristy Nolan Events, and she said they were very accommodating especially in trying to work within our budget. They did everything they said they would and set up, served and cleaned up without a hitch! But the food! Glorious!! The chicken with sun-dried tomatoes, their signature dish, was so moist and delicious, as were the other dishes we chose. A delightful experience! Wow. I was thrilled with the catering Simple Elegance provided for my daughter's baby shower. They assisted me in my menu choices and patiently advised me through the adjustments I made. Simple Elegance catered an event for us in October and we couldn't be happier. I had been a guest at a brunch Simple Elegance catered and thought the food excellent. We received wonderful guidance in menu selection for our fundraiser, and they were very open to me providing some of my own food. This was an upscale event featuring premium wines. The guests were thrilled with the food and especially loved the smoked salmon and beef tenderloin medallions. Simple Elegance stepped in at the last minute to help out, even though they were fully booked that weekend. You never would have guessed they were pushed. We had Traci and her crew cater our son's wedding in our yard for 55 people. We were on a serious budget and they worked to find great food within our price point. The food was Great and beautifully presented!!! The butternut squash ravioli was so good and there was nothing left of the truffle infused mac & cheese!! It was a rainy rainy day and the sun broke out just before the ceremony making things rather chaotic. As a result of the rain, they couldn't set up as early as we all wanted to. We used Simple Elegance for my daughters wedding. We had planned the wedding in just two months and were so happy we found this caterer. They had sample menu's to choose from which we really appreciated since we do not do this often and we found exactly what we were looking for. Traci was very thorough with all the details involved and helped us get on track. We did not have a chance to sample the food prior to our event (though it was offered) but dined at the Growler across the street which is owned by them and where the food comes from. The day of the wedding everything was delicious. We had two servers who were very pleasant to work with. They came and set up an appetizer table outside for after the ceremony just as we had planned, then set up our buffet. The Caprese Skewers appetizer with mozzarella, tomato and basil were delicious and a huge hit. Everything went as planned to help make for my daughters perfect day.
