Corporate shops in my part of town employ teenagers and people with no stake in the game. Friendly, but feckless advice and failed solutions left me feeling flat-- discouraged enough to consider the cost of going tubeless. Ouch. Time to go local. I found my way to Mile Hi yesterday and wish I'd gone after the first flat. Chris identified an obvious solution and I walked out ready to roll in about 15 minutes. My wallet thanked me. How the other shops (and I) missed this is beyond me. It's not only decades of experience, but concern for doing right by people that impressed me. A simple matter felt like more than just a sale. Would not recommend…read more I dropped my bike off 6 weeks ago and knew it was time for the dropper post to be rebuilt which they confirmed. I was told they'd get it rebuilt then contact me when it was ready. I didn't hear anything back and when I reached out yesterday that's the first time they tried to fix it saying they could send it off to be done locally. What were they doing the past 6 weeks?? I can't imagine relying on this place to services bike in riding season with any sense of confidence. While they blamed it on Fox for warranty issues, the first they asked about what year it was to see if it was recall eligible was yesterday, so it clearly was sitting there for 6 weeks collecting dust. Tried to keep business at a small shop, but very disappointed. Picked up my bike and will take my business elsewhere.

My board was flying down the hill the other day, and I could hear the edges really digging in to the snow. They are truly "sharp," and the shop even filled in a couple of dings on the bottom of the board. Given the work quality and price point, you can't go wrong here!

My tires exploded in my car because the tech overfilled my tires. Then, they tried to blame my tires instead of taking responsibility. Oh, and I have tubless tires, which means the liquid got all over my car. Next, they claimed they couldn't fix my squeaky brakes because I need a special type of brake pad. Just took them to another shop and they were able to swap them out. Lastly, their tune-ups literally take weeks to complete. How is that even possible?! Really cute store setup, but honestly, complete airheads fixing bikes who actually know nothing. I might as well try to fix my bike instead. Go somewhere else on Colfax to get bike repair services. You won't be disappointed!

Well, we were miles away from home, we all live near downtown. I saw this shop was about a mile away and we hauled the bike with the flat tire over hoping we might be able to get a fix to make our event. Even though we came in a few minutes before close, Peter got us fixed up so we could keep riding since we were far away from home. He first tried an affordable solution to see if that would work so we could go with the cheap option which we appreciated. We ended up needing a new tube and he was able to help us out when we were in a jam. Great shop. Super friendly and helpful. Thanks for staying after hours so we wouldn't be stranded Peter!

THIS STORE IS NOT HONEST! I am a high mileage daily…read morecommuter. I bought a helmet online. The site had sizes listed as S-M-L but not specific sizes. I ordered M. After I ordered I found the helmet elsewhere with actual CM sizes listed and realized L might fit me better. I contacted Epic Cycles right away asking them to hold the package. They said it has been flagged as fulfilled so they can't open the package at that point. It seemed from tracking and their wording that the package was physically still there. I was told to order the 'L', and I can send back the 'M' for a refund as soon as I get it. so I did. When I emailed them that I am ready to return the 'M' I was told they can't take it back since it was on sale. they knew this when they told me to order the other size and return the wrong one. First it seemed they were lazy about stopping the original package, then they lied to me directly about returning the wrong size. Deceptive to get me to order a second from them. Do not trust this bike shop. they have no integrity.

I am not sure which employee it was but he approached me and I asked if he could walk outside with me to take a look at the flat. Annoyed by the request, he asks me to bring the bike inside to take a look. While I know this may be the way to inspect a bike, I am carrying my two year old son, so I am not going to ask someone to watch him, nor let him roam, while I unhook the trailer and wheel my e-bike into the store. Anyways, he does come outside and seems to quickly turn more annoyed that I do not know the size of my tires or what the exact issue is. He curtly says I'd have to leave my bike with him as he can't do anything about it right now, plus he sprinkles in a mention of a $40 charge for work on an e-bike not purchased there. I clearly didn't have the means to leave my bike right then and there so I said nevermind, and asked if they had any suggestions for a quick fix in the meantime. "Nope" was the response I got. Great...thanks... By the way, there is a quick fix. Slime or FlatOut are pretty cheap products at ACE or Walmart to fix even a flat e-bike fat tire. I'd be shocked to find out this employee wasn't aware of that product. Even if it is just a temporary solution or not. When no one contacted me after 1 hour, I again called Velofix at 2:08pm and was only able to get a recording to send an email. I am surprised at the very poor customer service/communication by Velofix. I have used the service twice in the past and am extremely disappointed by what has transpired today.
