To say they handled the wedding superbly, still doesn't do them justice, as Karma goes far beyond superb. Karma's photography was parallel to the top photographers in Memphis (where we live) and everyone has commented on the exquisite choices she makes to capture one's most special and intimate moments - (not necessarily the cheesy planned ordinary photos of standard weddings). Marissa was so helpful she was practically like a "Maid of Honor". She would return calls, texts, and emails late at night or even on the weekends to help put my mind at ease or to clarify some detail. They left no detail unattended and were compassionate about making you feel comfortable so they left nothing for you to worry with or about. All the vendors they use and/or recommend are also top notch and will not disappoint you either (Hair and Make-up by Adiel is a slam-dunk and will make your pictures look even that much more fabulous!). Even with just one little preference glitch with a floral item, Karma went WAY ABOVE and beyond to make sure I felt better about it - despite the fact that I didn't even ask her to do so. She is just that compassionate. She doesn't want you to have anything but wonderful memories of your day and she and Marissa will do everything within their power to make you as happy as possible. They are masters of bringing out the best in you, to help you get past any insecurities you may have, therefore getting the most from your experience, your occasion, and your pictures. Aloha! My *husband* and I live on Oahu and chose to go to Maui for our "destination wedding"! Maui was a long time dream wedding of mine, and we moved to Oahu a few years ago. We wanted a small, intimate ceremony with our absolute closest family and friends, located around the world, and Maui provided the perfect getaway environment. While we only had a short flight to escape our everyday hectic lives, the rest of our attendees flew from all over California, Wyoming, London and Brazil! That alone made planning interesting! Emily was a rockstar for us! After having a very negative experience trying to actually hire another company, we came to Simple Maui and felt supported and reassured from the very beginning. The best part of working with SM was the communication. With almost everything done via email, it was so clear and having one point of contact also helped a ton! Emily even let me mail a couple items there that were being mailed a little late (and fragile) from Etsy, and that took weights off my shoulders bit by bit. Thank you to the whole team! The only piece of advice I would provide, is it would be great if you guys were also able to close the loop with small receptions at restaurants, etc. You worked so well with Gannon's and us staying for dinner anyway, that it seems like there's only a couple steps between this and an opportunity for even more income. When we first came up with the idea to get married in Hawaii, we had no idea where to begin. My wife started doing some research and one of the first results was Simple Maui Wedding (SMW). We fell in love with the photography and were immediately impressed with the packages ranging from large scale to super private. But with that said, I was slightly skeptical going forward with a company that I had never heard of and only knew through the internet. So we started looking for reviews, many of which were from Yelp. And given the amount of 5-star ratings, using SMW was a done deal! We reached out and within 24 hours, we had a response from the SMW team. We asked tons of questions and they made sure to spell everything out for us at every step along the way. Communication, planning, coordinating and payments were made very easy through their system, and we kid you not, all we had to do was show up on the beach. SMW checked in with us every couple weeks leading up to the Big Day and let us know where everything stood. And on the day of the wedding, we could not have asked for a smoother event. Our own dedicated coordinator was on-site to guide everyone into places (for those all-important wedding photos) and to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. After the wedding, SMW was quick to follow up with us regarding the next steps to receive our license and our photography. Where do I begin. I contacted simple Maui weddings because my sister used them 10 years ago! With only five weeks to plan my Maui elopement, Simple Maui wedding was exceptional to interact with! They were quick with their responses when I first contacted them, and they addressed all my questions and concerns from planning a Gun-shot elopement. They selected amazing vendors for me, and their list of recommended vendors were idyllic! A week before our wedding one of the planners called us to walk through all the details, and provided us with our day of planner's contact information. The day of was seamless. My day of planner Emmy, was was there to greet my husband beforehand, and felt like a built-in bridesmaid for me! She even FaceTimed in my family for a super special moment for our daughters to see our elopement. The officiant they selected, couldn't have been more perfect, and their photographer from Karma Hill was absolutely amazing. The team at Simple Maui Wedding is great! My husband and I married in Maui (just the 2 of us) and had a perfect wedding thanks to the work of SMW! Our planner, onsite coordinator, and photographer were very professional, yet friendly and down to earth. They helped me feel special and relaxed, which was important to me since we didn't have our family/friends there. The teams handles the details, providing you with everything you need from the start, and will guide you throughout the process with recommendations for anything you need. From the beginning, they answered all my questions (I asked a lot and changed my mind a lot, but they never acted anything but helpful and accommodating) and followed through until the end. I never had to worry about not hearing back from the coordinator or hound them to make sure we were on the same page, which as an anxious bride was such a huge relief! They even called a vendor on my behalf b/c I was having a hard time confirming their services after I booked them and the coordinator made sure I received a response back from them. Our sept. 10th wedding was so awesome!  My husband and I had the greatest experience with simple maui weddings!  Simple maui weddings was so helpful, easy to get a hold of and easy to talk to. Emily was incredibly friendly over phone, email and in person and helped make the wedding day itself stress-free and blissful with her kindness and sweet manner. I'd just like to take a second to say my wife and I absolutely loved our experience with Simple Maui Wedding! After starting our wedding planning awhile back, we quickly realized that doing a traditional big wedding was not going to be our thing. We started looking at eloping in Maui and eventually our path crossed with SMW. The whole team over there (mostly spoke with John, Mira, and Aurora) were genuinely kind people who made the process as easy as it could've been. We received informative emails throughout the time leading up to the wedding, and then a week before the big day we had a phone with John and he laid all the details out and answered any questions that we had. I'd also like to give a shoutout to WAI, she was AMAZING! Wai was our onsite coordinator for the wedding and she is a lovely human being. We got married in Oct 2018, but started planning at least a year and a half before that. And the first thing that I did was look at a venue and coordinator that worked with the location I wanted. BAM - found Simple Maui Wedding (SMW Crew for the win)! And what's great is that SMW works with Karma Hill Photography (see my review on them too) which makes getting a complete package so easy. And that was extremely important to me being from the East Coast planning a Hawaiian wedding. Everybody from the beginning, on the fabulous wedding day, to the follow-ups were amazing. Fast, friendly, and easy communication. Great invoicing procedures that are clear, defined, and easy/secure to pay. I even had a few changes along the way which were easily accommodated. I love how the SMW website has great pictures and keeps up-to-date blogs for all their weddings. I'm a visual person and several choices I made were because I saw it on their site. Everything on my wedding day went as planned and it was because they are really great with communicating with me and my husband. They promptly answer questions whenever I had any, and they also had great recommendations as far as hair, make-up, restaurants and etc. Thus, they recommended multiple vendors and connected me to those vendors. I had my wedding reception at the Plantation House, which was only a 3 minute drive from where we had our wedding on the beach. Everything was convenient, close and easy. We can't say enough about the amazing experience we had with Simple Maui Wedding. They are all very professional and make sure your day is planned to perfection with out any stress on your end. Pictures are received extremely quickly after your big day compared to other photographers, and prices are absolutely exceptional in comparison. Best Choice we made during all of our wedding planning. When the bride and groom live in Anchorage Alaska communication is key.
