OMG, so much aloha! My brother in law ask me to help him set up a surprise 50th vow renewal during their island visit in January. I found Affordable Barefoot Maui Weddings after reading the reviews. I contacted Shane and explained to him what I was seeking. Everything he described to me about their ceremonies was everything I was looking for to the T. From the vows, to the conch blowing ( Hawaiian traditional announcement) to the beautiful photography, they do it all at such an affordable price! Shane was very responsive with every text/ email I would send with questions and request. On the day of our ceremony on Palauea Beach, Shane appeared on time, approached our location and immediately began speaking to my sister and brother in law, confirming by saying there is much aloha to have been married 50 years. The surprise could not have been better tailored as my sister was so surprised she began crying. Shane spoke directly to them with eloquent words of amazing milestone of their marriage. He began by blowing the conch to announce the moment. Shane then read them each the vows and spoke to them of how Hawaiians honor marriage in family tradition. Shane took many photos and provided them on an external drive well packaged along with a printout of the vows and a marriage certification that can be displayed to commemorate the day. Our original wedding got Canceled due to Covid back in June. My now husband and I were having such a hard time re-planning another wedding with all the Covid restrictions..etc. So one day I decided that we're going to go to Maui to elope! This company offered everything that we were looking for and much more doing an elopement wedding. They were very easy to communicate with, gave advice on the do's and don't. For example what to wear what not to wear what hairstyle would help due to the weather what make up would look nice in the pictures due to weather and time of day, what time of the day would be prefect for the ceremony and much more unexpected advice that was so helpful. Shane the officiant was just great! For some reason I was expecting some old-school guy, I don't know why, but Shane made the ceremony very memorable very sweet, something I will probably never forget even though it was so hard for me to focus with finally getting married and the location at Makena Cove was just gorgeous, I was just overwhelmed with happiness. From the very beginning communication has always been amazing. They made planning this process so easy. We did the photographers package $1,799 i believe. They took so many pictures and we added the ukulele player and the video! They had all the pictures on two flash drives before we left the beach and we were able to look at them at dinner!! The value we received for the amount of money we paid was mind-blowing. We were married in the most beautiful place on Earth and it was around $700-$750. We put a small deposit down when we scheduled, then we paid the rest when we showed up that day. We received a flash drive and disc with our photos after the ceremony. The service was amazing! Although there wasn't that much back and forth because it was a streamlined process, when we called, they picked up on the first try. We also received responses same day to e-mails. They made recommendations about when and where we should do the ceremony. They set us up with a place we could get ready nearby. They gave us great ideas about where to go around town. They catered to our specific needs and helped us out with special requests. I wanted my photos in a specific format which they happily did and they even let me borrow one of their tripods free of charge so I could set up my own camera and video the wedding. What's even better is that two photographers are automatically included in the package, not just one. We renewed our wedding vows in June 2016 on Maui. I chose Affordable Barefoot Maui Wedding because the packages were reasonable and Sarah and Eric were easy to work with. We got the Hawaiian Themed Ceremony and Photography package and added on the Tropical Bouquet. The ceremony was beautiful and the pictures are amazing. We couldn't have asked for any better ceremony Our location was moved from Makena Cove to Secret Secret Beach (Changs Beach) the Friday before our ceremony because of the weather. Secret Secret Beach was absolutely beautiful. No complaints at all. The only problem we had, which was not Affordable Barefoot Maui Wedding's fault was we stayed in Lahaina area which is an hour from Secret Secret Beach. Our ceremony was at sunset. We left an hour and half early from our meeting time at 6:00 pm but we still arrived late because of traffic. If your staying that far from the location I would say leave two to three hours early to be safe or even find a way to stay over there for the day. Eric was very accommodating with the time loss and went out of his way to make sure he got all the pictures he wanted to take. Mahalo to that for sure. Our wedding was the wedding of our dreams, and we could not have done it without Affordable Barefoot Maui Wedding! We are so thankful we followed our gut and picked Eric. We were nervous since we live thousands of miles away, but not only was it in our budget, but they were able to work with our last minute planning. We literally researched almost every wedding officiant and planning in maui, since we wanted it to be perfect, and they are the best hands down!
