I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

Enter George from Sevan Locks & Doors. George answers his phone! We made an appt to have the door fixed the next day. Boris came out and fixed it! Reasonable fee and excellent work. Thank you George & Boris. I found Sevan locks & doors on the BBB website. They were the only company in this area to have an A+ rating with no complaints. They are also a member of BBB which was even more reassuring. I wish there was a BBB for FreeCycle customers...

This problem began after a 2023 system upgrade intended to ensure line monitoring. In early 2026, it was discovered that my monitoring had never been set up, a situation multiple representatives described as unprecedented. I have had alarm systems for over 35 years, and before 2022, Protection One provided my service. In April 2026, a technician visited. It was found that, despite payment, the equipment had not been installed, and the required parts or services were now unavailable. The proposed solution was for me to spend $1500 to install smoke detectors so my system would function, which confused me. Two separate inquiries later confirmed my concerns. Based on that representation, I repeatedly reached out to ADT. I audited my account and determined that I have been paying for this monitoring the entire time since 2023. I reached out to ADT repeatedly after 3 broken promises and a supervisor promised to call me back, but it never happened. Today, 1 actually called me. I was ultimately transferred to account management. 1 hr 30 min later Account management acknowledged the issues and offered an upgrade. I insisted that the question of charges for services I did not receive, starting in 2023, be resolved first. They indicated that ADT could not refund the fraudulently billed amount, then attempted to upsell me. When I insisted this was illegal, the representative told me to listen and began yelling. I have 38 hours documented detailing these unresolved concerns and illegal activity with ADT. All of the above is well documented and confirmed by multiple phone calls. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. COMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT. What kind of company tells you they cannot refund the money they acknowledged they stole from you?

I was tired of poor and drop connections with my consumer level Wi-Fi system. In addition, I wanted a local security camera system that I can control without relying on a cloud service. After receiving a quote and agreeing on the scope of work, I scheduled the installation. Alee came out on time on the date scheduled and we walked through the plan of installation and confirmed what all my needs were. Alee and his team worked through the day and completed the install job in an incredibly professional manner. The installation and the cable runs, and all of the final product was exactly as described. After the install, Alee walked me through downloading all of the software that I needed, how to access and navigate the system, how to navigate and operate the security cameras, and ensure that everything was working properly. To be sure, this was a relatively large install for a residential application. I wanted ethernet drops in every room of my house, a new professional grade network cabinet, in-ceiling WIFi network, and a new suite of security cameras.
