I came to Simple To Perfect Studio with some unique requests. My hubby and I have motorcycle gear/clothes that needed some intricate alterations/redesign. Karen was the one who helped us by listening to our requests and taking the time to measure and understand what we were trying to accomplish. Karen is friendly, personable and honest. She does not over promise and will be upfront of the limitations and caveats to the alterations. She spent time explaining to me of what to expect and checking in with me throughout the process if each part I was okay with. I trusted her and am glad I did! Her work is amazing and it came out better than I expected. My hubby was happy with his leather pants and I am happy with the two pieces I brought in. Because I wasn't very good at communicating the first time around and therefore, the redesign didn't fit quite well. Karen offered to redo my leather jacket to get it right. This goes to show that Simple to Perfect Studio stands by their work and will do everything they can to make your garment work. These three items were no easy feat. So, I feel that the price was very fair for the quality of work and the time it took for them to complete it. Another thing to note is that this place is open on the weekends! Not many alteration places are open both Saturdays and Sundays so I highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for an alteration place. read more

I did a walk-in for getting a pair of pants hemmed a few inches. Was seen super fast. They told me my pants would be done in a few minutes if I wanted to wait, which I did. I have gotten two formal dresses hemmed and altered here, and also got a formal dress fixed here (I burned a hole in it...). Karen is very nice, and makes recommendations for how to best hem/alter to your needs. Make sure to bring the shoes you want to wear so she can do the measurements accordingly. Karen was working on Labor Day weekend though the shop wasn't open, and I wanted to get a hem done since my weekdays are typically very long and I get off work late. She allowed me to come in and offered to have me wait for the service which was beyond expedient! I wasn't in a rush so I told her I would return for the pants. They are still running their opening special and she mentioned it may go away this year but the hem pricing would still be set competitively, under $10. I'm a fan! Brought over two more pants for a hem. I'm a shortie so nothing ever fits at the right length for my pants. So glad I found this studio shop. I Chose the Business because of the positive reviews. I took 7 garments to this business to be made larger. Unfortunately, I trusted that the end result would be satisfactory. I took them home and hung them in my closet. I was not able to wear them right away due to a serious illness (heart issue). When I started wearing the pants I noticed that they were ill fitting and so were all the other garments. I went to "Make it fit". They agreed that the work was not professionally done. They re-sized the garments. The lady at "Make it fit" ask me who did this? The end result was that I had to pay twice instead of once. I had used "Make it fit" many times before and always took the garments home to try them on at home. Not once did I have to bring any garment back for a redo. My mistake was a very costly one. Live and learn! Don't change. Stick with what work even if the price is higher. My garments were more complicated. Each was lined. One skirt ended up with the lining re-attached inside out. Don't take fine garments to this business. Simple is the word. Don't take complicated wordrope there. They are not trained to do fine work. Christa read more

It was a made to order bridesmaid dress that took 2.5 months to get to me. The day I received it...my heart dropped! I needed to take care of it immediately as the wedding is in May. I opened up a forum to which over a dozen alteration businesses responded. It was going to cost me over $160+ and luckily Karen responded to me, I checked out the business and saw that they were offering 50% off services (saved me so much money). I was able to get in the very next day. Originally I had asked for a corset back (I assumed this was the only possibility) but she had suggested that we add an extra seam with the leftover fabric to keep the elegance of the dress since my shoulders were already so revealing. I trusted her judgement and it was the best decision I've ever made! We also shortened the shoulder draping and she wanted me to bring in the heels that I am going to be wearing so she can adjust the length accordingly. The dress was ready within the next week. She also suggested that I try on the dress before leaving and lone and behold..it fit perfectly! She was so nice through it all and took the time to understand my concerns for the best outcome. My fiancée and I can't be more thrilled to have a seamstress as caring, considerate, and thoughtful as Karen. Seriously, she takes the time to actually listen and address all the concerns you have. My biggest peeve with tailors/seamstresses is when they give me their opinion of what looks best and push for it thinking their way is the best way. Karen will ask you questions on what you're going for, then provide her insight on what may be best depending on the information you provided. As long as you address your concerns accurately to her, she will take care of you! As far as pricing goes, I don't know how we'd ever beat it with the quality of work she produces. To be honest, I was shocked at how cheap the pricing came out to be for most of the bills we racked up. For any of the more expensive pricing, I deemed it to be more than fair. We must've come to her studio at least 4 times now getting clothing altered for our wedding.
