Helped me right away with a phone that wouldn't charge greatly appreciate there help!

Would not recommend this company... we brought our laptop here because the screen broke and they charged us for a new camera, cooling fans, screen, processor, etc... and it still DOES NOT WORK!!! On top of this, the owner or manager of the company offered to put a used processor out of his own personal computer that is several years old into our computer... And to complete my great service with this company, the screen is still broken and the cooling fans were never actually replaced, it still has the old fans inside it after taking the laptop apart myself. Do NOT go to this company, just buy a new computer... I spent $650 on this repair and could have boughten a new laptop of same version or slightly newer for just a couple hundred dollars more. Also, our repair took over two months!!! This company Sucks! read more

Go to the shop they diagnosed the problem ( kind of obvious broken screen) in out in under an hour and for a very fair price. I was trying to upgrade the RAM on my laptop but I couldn't get the case apart. I brought my laptop in and within ten minutes I was back in my car with the memory upgrade. It cost me $25 for the service, and considering that I probably would have broken the case it was money well spent. And while I brought my own RAM it turns out I would have paid less if I'd bought the RAM at Simplify Simple. read more

Simplify Simple (SS), which is sort of a silly name, used to be High Desert computer Repair (HDCR), and the latter was a great business. It had a small store in a quiet location, with adequate parking. It was sort of mom and popish and had reasonable charges, but not so much anymore. I had purchased an Ethernet network card, and because of time constraints on my day, I decided I would have HDCR install it. I called the business to see if this was a good day to drive from Bend to Redmond, OR, a 30 miles round trip +/-, and have them do the 30-minute job while I waited. The person who answered my call ensured me that it was. Because of the name change, I verified the address, and found out it had changed. SS, formerly HDCR, was now in the Fred Meyer Super Center complex. During the drive north, I started to think about parking, and my concerns were well founded, the parking lot was jammed. I schlepped the computer perhaps 100 yards to the store, only to discover that no one knew what I was talking about, vis-à-vis the 30-minute install. I was informed, that it would take six hours and cost $185, but, drum roll, it included a complete computer diagnostic, which in my view is a bit of puffing. It's like a free insurance review. It is something a vender must do along the way in assessing the issue. If one has automatic Windows updates, it is free. Also, if one owns a Dell, a person can go online and get it for free. What SS is doing is mitigating the sting of the upfront basic service charge, which I'm guessing, is $150. This seems a bit high, but I'm sure rents in the Super Center are high. In the end, I took my computer back to the car, did my errands, went back to Bend, and installed the card myself. Getting under the hood of my Dell XPS is sort of like getting into a Chinese sealed container puzzle. But in the end, I got it done, installed the card, and felt proud of myself. read more

They did an excellent and very quick job of replacing the puffy, ready-to-explode battery in my iPhone X and had me back out the door in less than a half hour. Very friendly and knowledgeable service and lots of goodies for a techie like me to look at in the lobby. A chair or two would have been nice but I sit too much anyway so didn't mind at all looking around at all the stuff while my phone was being repaired. read more

Great overall service. I called to get a quote for repairing my daughters iPad. Ellen was really friendly so I decided to go in for the repair the next day. Their shop is so cozy and smells amazing. It could double as a small tea cafe. The tech who helped us was really nice as well. And Ellen came out and introduced herself in person, which was nice. The repair was quick. It only took about 20 minutes and that's because the iPad took that long to reset. After leaving the shop even my 8 and 10 year old commented on how friendly the staff members are. read more

Update: So, I e-mailed Chris to let him know that my basic workhorse computer had slowed down. He gave the price for him to do it but then, GET THIS!!! Chris told me how to do it myself! NO CHARGE! Saved me much $$$$ and I learned some nifty basic computer tune-up info. (trust me, it had to be basic because I am definitely NOT a computer guy!). Chris is amazing! My son decided to let a friend "jailbreak" his new iPhone 4. Once the battery died the phone died with it and it was frozen. Luckily my husband suggested looking on-line for someone to fix it and I found Chris. After explaining the sequence of events as it was explained to me he immediately knew what was wrong with it. Chris sent me an email with step by step instructions on how to fix it. It worked like a charm!! Ken Is The Man! Not sure if this exact location is still SimplifySimple but I found this location on Yelp but when I pulled up the sign was no longer there but still a computer repair place. My tablet was no longer charging. After about 2.5 hours later I gotta call saying it was ready for pick up and the cost was $50.00. Ken helped us when we walked in. He said he needed to solder the charging port back onto the board. He said it broke because I was rough pulling the charger out and shoving it back in. He said to go easy on it. But bring it back if I break it off again. $50.00 later, I am happy that I get to use my tablet again and needless to say, I am quite gentle with the charger. *Side Note* - I called another computer repair place and they assumed I would have to replace the board and told me it wasn't going to be cheat. I went in to JUST get my screen replaced, nothing else; upon receiving my phone, my Touch ID was not working, and my iPhone would no longer accept updates. So, if you go in to get your phone replaced, please think before you sign their waiver. There's not much you can do if there is further damage done to your phone since they aren't responsible once you sign, but just be cautious if you decide to go here; assess if it is worth the risk or not. I'm actually having to replace the phone entirely which is obviously not what I had in mind. The service was quick and the people are friendly and eager to help; I've nothing against their service, but the condition which my phone was returned to me was a serious set back. Edit: I just read your comment, James. I would be very happy to get a full refund and a re installation of my old screen. Will see you Monday. read more

my phone had severe water damage and I took it in here, they took a lot of time to repair it but Called me multiple times to let me in about what they were doing and how much longer I could expect. They ended up not being able to turn it on and even after they spent so much time on it they did not charge me because it wasn't fixed, great customer service and way better than apple head in redmond read more

So, my iPhone's screen had been cracked for awhile. It's a long story that I'm not proud of and we'll leave it at that. I found these guys via Yelp and took a "chance". The other reviewers called it. If your phone is cracked, don't be stupid and go somewhere else. Great staff too. I can't remember Her name! I hate that. Anyways, I think she's the owner as she gave me their history and explained all of their other services they offer too. She knows her stuff and explained their QC process which, as I understand it, they're the only ones (other companies that offer this service rarely do this step) that implement it.
