Slammed my iPhone 12 Pro Max in the tailgate of my car breaking the front and back glass. I still want to get another 3 or so years out of this phone so I started looking around for a repair. Other places were charging 2x or more what this store was or just suggesting it was "time for an upgrade". For under $300 I got new front glass, back glass, and a new battery installed. I feel it broke because of the condition and not his responsibility. It was a used phone and bought it off of Marketplace. I offered to pay half, he refused. Recently I had the unfortunate event of a cracked iPhone screen. I went to two other repair shops before this one. THE SAGA: I called the first shop on Saturday and they claimed they had the screen I needed but no technicians were working that day. So I showed up as soon as they opened on Monday, was the first person there (they were closed Sunday) and they claimed they didn't have the screen I needed and would need to order it $250. The second shop I had been to before and ended up waiting half an hour for them to open. Had this been a one time thing I would've thought nothing of it, but it had happened once before as well. (I guess that's the joy being self-employed.) He told me that the cost would be almost double $430 that of the first shop because his was better quality. He also advised me that going through apple would most likely cost $600 or more! THE REVIEW: When I came here I didn't have high hopes because I didn't know this guy from Adam. He was friendly, VERY knowledgeable, and HONEST! I had almost forgotten how refreshing honesty is. He instructed me on the different quality screens, what I would notice in them, and their price differences. He then advised me that I should take my phone to an apple certified shop because their prices were currently cheaper than his. That's right! He could've fixed my phone, but instead he had the integrity to steer me to the cost effective solution. I will forever bring mine and my families phones here for repairs from now on! My iPhones camera was busted and I didn't know if it just needed new glass over it or not, he thoroughly explained to me that I needed a new camera because of the damage and showed me exactly why, even showing me my old damaged camera after installing a new one. We will be bringing all our phones to nick for future repairs. 5 star service. Oddly the second time I went in I was treated very differently by nick. He had quoted me $50 for a phone purchase. When I returned to do the transaction he was dismissive and difficult. He wouldn't honor his quote and left me feeling disappointed. I had an iPhone 4 that I was told would never work again and it had all of my child's baby photos on it. I held onto it for YEARS, any how went to the iPhone guy last week and he fixed the problem in 15min. I thought I had lost all of those baby pictures. I would have paid any amount of money to recover the photos and couldn't believe how cheap and fast the repair was. I also had an iPad screen replaced and a protective screen put onto my phone. We just had our three iPhone 7+ looked at and one totally fixed by Nick. He thoroughly checked everything on all three. Two were in great health. He cleaned them up for us. The third had a come in after having had a new screen put on at another iPhone place for $129.00 (or more). At our home recently it cracked across the top while our son wasn't even using it! Nick removed the screen and showed us plastic pieces left from the last repair that "should" have been removed. It's why the screen cracked! The first time, it was dropped ... We are so impressed with Nicks Service, his attention to every detail. He could have charged us for every action he took, he didn't. We really liked the shop too. Nice to young and old alike. I honestly hate writing bad reviews in since it's my phone I had to put up with the garbage job they did on it daily.. the interface of my phone hasn't worked properly since I came in here for a basic screen change a month ago from when my phone screen was shattered. My skips around the screen and doesn't stay on pages with a ghost switch, super frustrating and way too expensive of a repair job from for this. Best go somewhere else. Update: Only 6 months after taking it in for "repair" I had to get a new phone as the glitches wouldn't stop. Suggestion to just go to the phone store and pay for a new phone than waste any money with this business. read more

Went for a cracked screen, he replaced it and it hasn't worked right since, takes foggy pictures. Went in to have him asses water damage, was very short with his responses and after taking the phone apart to asses damage (which is minimal) the phone wasn't put back together properly and cannot hook up to a charger. read more

Called in the morning about the broken screen on my wife's iPhone 8. Brought it in at 11:30 that day, picked it up, new screen installed, 30 minutes later. This place is a rip off he is more expensive then other places in town. He will sell you a garbage screen for a 100 bucks. My phone did not work as good after I took it to him and the screen broke again in 2 weeks after a 6" drop on to the counter. Plus the guy is straight up weird and awkward. Don't go here! read more

This dude saved me! Took my phone on a fly fishing trip and -- apparently -- it got wet; started acting funny that night, and the next day was totally dead. Wouldn't charge or anything. I took it to the Mac Store in town, and they told me it was a logicboard issue that would require sending it back to Apple to repair, and I'd be without a phone for a week. I took my phone to the iPhone Guy, and he opened it up on the spot, saw that it was water damage, and told me he'd diagnose and let me know what the issue was within 24 hours. The next day I called him up (using my wife's phone) and he told me he could fix the problem -- replacing the battery and the screen -- for $120 and have it ready for me in 20 minutes. Simply amazing. I now have my phone back, and it's working just fine! No memory loss or anything. I even updated the software last night, and it's still working fine. Unless something weird or bad starts to happen with my phone, I'm a very satisfied customer! read more

I brought my iPhone 5s in to get the screen and apparently the LED fixed. I checked around and the prices were very good. He fixed my phone quickly, and I picked it up the next day. 3 days later, I still hadn't changed my service back to my iPhone, so without using the phone even once, the screen broke. Instead of spider cracking like most breaks I've ever seen, a 1/2" x 1/2" piece had broken off and came off as one piece. There was not even a sign of glue or anything holding the piece down. I called back to tell them what had happened. They just told me it was too bad, and I could bring it back in and have it checked out, but it probably isn't covered. He assured me it was the same quality glass as apple uses It certainly didn't seem that way. I guess yo u get what you pay for. Just keep that in mind. read more

TIP IF SELLING YOUR PHONE TO IPHONE GUY: Unless your phone is brand new, unused, and in the box, list your phone as in "Good" condition and used, even if it's in excellent/"like new" condition (unless something's broken, severely scratched or cracked--in which case, list it appropriately). Doing this will save you from repricing hassles and losing money. Read on to find out more... I sold my used iPhone 7 to this company. Their initial communications were prompt, clear, and professional. We ran into some issues with the actual sales process, delivery, and pricing. After a bit of back and forth and some stress on my part about whether or not I was getting shafted, we resolved the problem and they acted with integrity and honor, so I'm happy with how things turned out. Their intake process needs some updating and fine-tuning. I tried to complete the sales transaction using their website portal, but it didn't work. I emailed the company, and they said they'd complete the sale listing for me using info I provided them. In my communication, I told them my phone was used, I was the sole owner, and it was in good to excellent condition (no noticeable scratches, dings, dents--it had a screen protector and case on it since the day I purchased it). They then emailed me a quote listing the phone as in Perfect condition and their purchase price. I accepted, and shipped the phone to them using the USPS prepaid label they provided. I paid additional for insurance and for the weight overage (since my package weighed more than covered by their label). That cost about $8, so no huge deal. I checked the tracking on USPS to confirm delivery to find that the post office had forwarded my phone to the Bend post office because they "didn't have access to the delivery location." I contacted iPhone Guy who told me they're closed on Fridays and Saturdays (the days delivery was attempted), and that it would be redelivered. It was redelivered on Tuesday, so that cost a few extra days of time and stress. When I got the final offer for my phone (3 days after it was delivered), it was $45 lower than the original quote. They said this was due to repricing due to "light scratches" on the screen and that the phone was used. I requested photos of the scratches (since none were visible to me when I shipped it). When they reprice, they offer the current phone price. As most of us know, it decreases as time passes. I told them their revised offer made no sense to me. I never claimed my phone was in Perfect condition and had told them it was used. I told them, had I been able to complete the listing myself, I would have listed the item as in Good condition (because my phone was used and not perfect, and to err on the side of caution to prevent repricing issues). However, because I was unable to use the on-line sale system, they had completed the sale paperwork manually for me. In addition, light scratches weren't something listed as a reason for repricing in the policies they sent me (and I never received pictures of the scratches after several requests). After reviewing this information, they revised their offer to reflect their Flipsy listed price for a used phone in Good condition as of the date I originally initiated the sale. So I ended up getting paid the amount I would have been offered had I been able to list the phone myself (in Good condition). So only $3 less than the offer for my phone in Perfect condition. Once I accepted this offer, payment was made quickly and went down without a glitch. Since I'd never dealt with this company before and wasn't entirely convinced they were legit, this was a stressful process that took about a week longer than I anticipated due to the shipping and listing issues. However, at the end of the day, this company acted with integrity. They were reasonable and honorable in handling the issues that came up, which always get points in my book. Miscommunications and misunderstandings happen. It's how companies handle these issues that make or break how I feel about them. And I'm happy my transaction with iPhone Guy worked out in the end :) read more

I actually fixed the phone myself. It got wet and stopped working. I took the back off and removed the battery, wiped it down and set it in front of a fan for several hours. It dried out and is working fine. I spoke with the tech on the phone and he was very supportive. Fortunately, I did not need his services (this time!). read more

There was absolutely no mark on the screen as I carefully checked before sending it out. He also never showed me photos of the issue. We are visiting from California to do some rock climbing at Smith Rock. My iPhone X fell, not once but twice, 60' above the ground, bouncing on rocks along the way. The iPhone Guy charged me $200 to replace my LCD, a month later my LCD wasn't functioning properly. I brought the phone back to the iPhone Guy expecting him to honor his claim that he warranties his work. Instead of taking care of me he just told me that he'll need to charge me $200 again to replace the LCD. He claimed that I must have dropped the phone and therefore he should be relinquished from his duty to warranty his work. I know for a fact that I did not drop the phone and I stated that to him. He basically called me a liar and refused to do the right thing. Both the iPhone guy and the "receptionist" are very rude, unprofessional, dishonest and greedy. After speaking to other people around town I was informed that the iPhone guy takes shortcuts on repairs and often times people have to get their phones repaired again shortly after he supposedly fixed the problem. Several other people around town have also had the same experience concerning the dishonesty and greed. I ended up getting my iPhone repaired (replaced the LCD again) with the iPhone Professor. He also mentioned that the iPhone Guy cuts corners and his repairs often times don't work long term. read more
