    As an already highly organized person I wasn't sure if I needed to hire an organizer when I moved to DC. But with a long commute and learning a new job I didn't have the time or energy to get settled into my new place. After talking with several organizers in the area, I chose Simplify You for the thoroughness of the initial conversations. It's clear by her questions and insight that this level of service would be high above the other organizing companies in the area. C.Lee and Mary came in and organized by new home in a way that makes sense for how I live. I can find things now and everything is easy to get to. Thank you so much, to both of you. I recommend Simplify You and would use them again.

We get more done in a four-hour session with her than we could accomplish in a day or two if we tried to tackle it on our own. She's helpful, motivating, and practical, which we love. Most notably, she is non-judgmental. Her approach has always been shame-free and blame-free, which makes the whole process so much more comfortable and productive. We have loved working with her.

I couldn't bring one more thing into my small house without getting rid of something. I brought Pam in and didn't know where to start. She helped me get started and worked with me for several visits. While I wasn't able to complete my work with her, she put me on the right path to organization and soon I was a regular at the Container Store. Pam and her helpers got me going and the effects have lasted for four years now. In fact, my basement has remained almost spotless since there was a place for everything I had left. I will admit I still have two boxes of papers left upstairs, but that's it and one day I will sit down and scan them. Why am I keeping paper anymore???? I would recommend Pam to anyone who needs a push in the right direction. The fact that her changes were lasting is the best recommendation I can give. Money well spent, for sure.

    When my first organizer had to retire abruptly pre-covid I tried several others but none were…read morewilling to do what I needed: organize the mess themselves so we could get to work together on the actual organizing. Plus most say "I don't judge" or "I've seen worse", because Rebecca just got to work I realize I've never quite believed it. The photo is the result of only four hours of work, two of which I simply hid. Some is trash, obviously, although I do have an excuse for the hamper. The rest is donations, things I don't use or wear which other people actually need. I'm not attaching inside photos: I can finally get to the entire floor but haven't vacuumed it yet. It's like this: once things started to go bad it had just kept getting worse. My walk-in closet and bedroom had gotten so cluttered I didn't have a place to put clean laundry, had sheets in various places, rope baskets piled on top of boxes - all with a jumble of crafts and clothing and books and whatever. I couldn't even find space to pull it all out to sort it. Rebecca arrived, I hid in my study. 2 hours later she had things to the point that I could come in and start making decisions. And she'd found four cat brushes - I kept buying new ones and duplicates because I couldn't find what I had. My homework is getting all the laundry done and put away. She's gathered other groups of small things I can easily sort through to keep only what I need. And collecting all the paper including stuff to be filed so old I don't need it and old files. Only some of it needs to be shredded and I don't think she knows what she's getting into but know that she can handle it. Then we tackle the next stage. my living/dining room. We all had good intentions: during the lockdown we pulled things out of places to organize them then were too overwhelmed to actually do it. Three years and Rebecca got this part done in little over three hours.

I had been through a season of severe depression, and my space had become overwhelming. I didn't even know where to begin, and within a few hours, my space was clean, AND I had long term solutions that have helped me to keep my space manageable.
