She was easy to contact, has most questions answered for you on the FAQ page of her website (including tons package options and costs), and has follow-up emails (I can appreciate being a marketer myself). I came to her home studio for my trial and she was incredibly helpful! I knew much more about how I wanted my hair, but don't have the best make-up background. Dana was very helpful in showing options and letting me decide a look that suited me and made adjustments as we went. On the day her and her assistant, Aly, were on-time, brought all the supplies (including the chair and ring light), and wide awake and ready to go! They were quick and attentive for each of my bridesmaids and continued working on others while some of my ladies were late to arrive. They brought extra supplies for the ladies who decided on the day to add items like lashes too. Dana accepts PayPal too which made the whole process of paying easy and efficient. Both Dana and Aly have upbeat attitudes and made the whole morning fun and relaxing :) All 8 ladies (2 moms, 5 bridesmaids, and 1 bride) started at 6:45am & done by 12pm. July 2018 in the heat of Charlotte. Personal & hair and make-up lasted through a 2pm ceremony, outdoor pictures, 6pm trolley and reception, and exit by 1030pm - LONG Lasting!

Getting my permanent eyeliner done by Marcia is one of the worst things I've ever done…read more I had a coupon for 50% off permanent eyeliner at another place, but my husband said not to go to the cheaper place. Marcia's reviews seemed great! Except that Nicole A with the glowing review is her daughter (whom Marcia tattooed at age 12), and others are friends of hers, as I found out later. When I arrived for my appointment, I noticed her space was very dark and cluttered, but she had good reviews, so I tried not to let that bother me. I showed her several pictures of the style eyeliner I wanted... very thin line on the bottom, medium line on top with well-defined, dainty wings with a sharp point at the edge. She kept showing me pictures of her daughter's eyeliner and kept telling me how beautiful her daughter is, and I told her several times it wasn't what I was looking for. She didn't want to draw on my eyelids what I wanted, but I let her do it because she was "experienced" and had such good reviews. I was DEVASTATED when she handed me the mirror to look when she was done. I had very thick, uneven lines on the bottoms, and a very thin line on the top with rounded blobs on my eyelids instead of well-defined wings. I asked for a VERY THIN line on the bottom and a medium line on top, showed her several pictures beforehand, and even reiterated what I wanted several times. At the first touch up, I showed her the issues and she assured me the touch-up would make it look much better. I told her not to accentuate the wings, I was hoping they'd fade away. She went over them again anyway, even made the blobs a little bigger and she told me she made them look better. I'm not sure if she doesn't listen, or thinks she knows what her clients want better than they do themselves. I absolutely hate looking in the mirror now. This was supposed to increase my self-esteem and give me more confidence in my looks, save me time on applying makeup, but the exact opposite is what happened. This is what I've got: The line on one upper eyelid starts out thicker on the inside, then abruptly stops and becomes paper-thin for the length of my lid. The other upper eyelid is smooth all the way across, but so thin, and I still have the horrible blobs on my eyelids instead of those elegant wings I wanted off to the side. The eyeliner on one lower eyelid is rounder and thicker and doesn't meet my lash line, and the other lower eyelid is more straight across, follows my lash line, and is much thinner. I look like I let my 72-year-old mother-in-law apply my eyeliner without her glasses on, with an old kohl eyeliner crayon, in the dark. Yes, it's that bad, and I have to look at myself like this every single day.
