The room itself and the proprietor were both very nice. Everything was clean and pleasant, no double dipping and she used gloves. I called to make an appointment and had to wait 2 weeks, but thought that since it was so highly rated, it would be worth waiting for. I'm hoping that this was an unusual bad day and not how things normally are. She did seem to try to accommodate me. My guess is that she is way overbooked. I really liked her, so I thought twice before giving her a bad but honest review. I asked for full legs, brazilian, arms, and arm pits when I called. I was told that she would try to fit it all in but that time was tight. I received 3 separate email confirmations for different services (none of which were what I asked for but she warned me about that). The salon itself was a little difficult to find so I was a few (7 mins) minutes late. I ended up getting half leg, bikini plus bottom (despite making the appointment for a brazilian), armpits. Although the end results are pretty good (symmetrical bikini), I will not be going back. I asked for her to wax my thighs but she said, "Oh, you don't really need that." I had to remind her to wax my bottom and she left the outside fuzzy. All of the waxing hurt really badly because she pulled the hairs up rather than at an angle (over the years I have never had it hurt this badly - still hurts after 24 hours and my usual experience is that it hurts no more than a few seconds after the hairs come out). She didn't add in any extras that many aestheticians do (tummy, toes). I left the appointment in pain, covered in patches of sticky wax, with hairy knees, dissatisfied, and exhausted from nonstop and breathless chatter (some people might find it comforting if they are nervous, etc, and if the waxing had been better it wouldn't have been a big deal). read more

I just went there a few days ago for a facial. I was super stressed and the website said a classic facial includes a face, shoulder, and neck massage. I've heard great things about her so I decided to spurge (her price list is NOT cheap). I was unpleasantly surprised when Priti told me that she would not be giving me a facial, but an acne treatment. I appreciated her honesty, but she didn't give me any sort of massage, nor was the procedure relaxing. At the end of the "treatment" she told me she was going to put me on a regiment. I told her I've been using a product with benzoyl peroxide, and she told me to stop immediately because it was drying and bad for me. I spent another $75, on top of the $75 "facial" (without the massage) on Image products. She even tried selling me a $40 lotion. I got home only to compare the ingredients to the acne cream that my dermatologist gave me, AND THEY BOTH HAD 5% BENZOYL PEROXIDE. Needless to say, I was extremely unhappy and i felt taken advantage of and like I wasted my money, which I don't have much of to begin with. I think I was more stressed after coming home then I was going there. I do notice a slight difference in my skin, but I"ll repost with an update in a few days to see if the image products actually work or if it was a $150 gimmick that I fell for. read more

Well, it was worth a shot i guess. Priti seems like a nice person. My issues with this situation started when she told me not to expect any magical arches *cant recall exactly how she put it to me* so after this, i was kind of scared to lay back for the threading, i did somewhat want an arch, a natural arch.... not anything crazy, but i felt offended how she told me what she was going to do... After the service, which flew by, i think mostly bc a woman showed up for her appt nearly 30 mins early... so i felt rushed. She asked me in a darkly lit room, after my eyes being shut for maybe 10 mins with tears, "how did it look". well i can barely see bc its so dark but i could tell one side was skimped on. one side looked nice, if they had matched... and a natural arch, i would return... but it didnt. so never again. ive heard great things about the Nue Salon, so ill try there next! read more

Great Skin for my wedding and beyond!! I first came to Le Petit for an eyebrow wax and facial as a trial for my upcoming wedding. Priti evaluated my very sensitive skin and suggested threading and a skin treatment instead. I have been to MANY facialists and have heard from MANY people how they can cure my skin problems. Typically, the redness will go away temporarily (long enough for me to buy into their products), the exfoliation will help for a few weeks, but then it's back to red, sensitive skin, with bumps under my skin (due to layers and layers of oil). My response was that I would try the threading but take a pass on the treatment, sticking with the facial. Priti suggested that I at least let her alter my facial because some of the facial treatments would actually irritate my skin. I reluctantly agreed. After the facial, she suggested I purchase her facial line but in a travel package size to test it. This certainly was refreshing from the usual push from other facialists to purchase their whole line at full price. When I left that day, my skin felt great but let's face it, unless you have no skin problems, that glow just isn't there. Needless to say, 6 months later, my skin has changed so much that even my friends and family have noticed. But when my husband touched my skin the other day and said "wow, your skin is so smooth", it felt so good to hear! Further, while I am still treating my skin, when I walk out from Le Petit, my skin does glow. But the best part is that it looks better and better everyday instead of just the day of the treatment. I wouldn't leave Priti for the world- she is knowledgeable, passionate, and caring about helping her customers. I recommend Le Petit to anyone who wants a wax, threading, facial/treatment, makeup and/or a great facial line. read more
