While camping nearby (Wyalusing State Park), we craved some good coffee and we were not disappointed. Both the latte and cappuccino were very good. We also ordered the Tuna Jack sandwich - superb! http://www.simply-cafe.com/eatery.html#sandwich The only disappointment - several customers did not wear masks despite a "masks required" sign posted at the entrance. Otherwise, this was a nice find in downtown Prairie du Chien!

We only got the drinks, but they were good. My husband got the maple bourbon latte. I think she said it was seasonal? I got a decaf with cinnamon and milk. Not much of a sugar free syrup variety, only a couple of fruity ones for other drinks. The atmosphere was really nice and cozy.

A fabulous coffee shop with a great vibe. Friendly service and everything tastes homemade and fresh. I love their basic cappuccino. They have a breakfast sandwich with eggs, pepper bacon, cheese, tomato and a special sauce that is amazing. If you get one pay the extra dollar to get it on the home made multi grain bread. You will love it.

Best place to eat in town - hands down!! They only serve breakfast and lunch so get there before 2! The decor and setting is funky coffeehouse vibe. Music is usually louder than most but they play a good mix for everyone ;) It's counter service so you order and they bring the food to your table. The menu is soup/salad/sandwiches plus smoothies and coffee drinks and desserts. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is delicious. I have tried just about everything on the lunch menu and have never been disappointed!! My favorites are the sweet cranberry BLT and chicken poblano pepper. 3/25/18 - continues to be my favorite place to eat in town! The roasted garlic tomato soup is my 2nd favorite soup. I still need to try some of the coffees!!

Absolutely phenomenal lunch place. I tried the sweet gobbler which is a turkey and bacon sandwich, including their out of this world sweet peppered bacon. I was recommended this place by a client and I'm really glad I went. Great sandwich, nice cup of tea, really pleasant and quick service. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town. read more

Charming and cozy little place with incredibly friendly staff. Great for lunch! They offer a large selection of specialty coffees, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, lemonades, and more. I love trying their seasonal specialty drinks! Their soups, salads, and sandwiches are also very good. Along with their lunch items, they also offer delicious breakfast sandwiches and lots of baked goods! This place gets pretty busy around the lunch hour, but it is certainly worth any wait! read more

Hands down, a local favorite. You wouldn't think there was anything special about cold meat sandwiches, but these are supreme. Their coffee is amazing-expensive, but a great treat. The music is too loud and people have to shout over it, but they have a couple of nice tables outside if "trendy alternative music." A little slow, so good for a day you don't have to be back right away, it's good. Good chips-they have really cut back portions of all their food, but it's good. $10 for a sandwich and a soda. read more

Moving to the area from California I have been looking for something that is fresh and healthy- this is it. It's my new favorite place. The sandwiches are hearty and fresh, the coffee drinks are sweet and tasty! The only downside? I can barely make it into town before it closes. read more

In all honesty, I ended up here against my will...I wanted a 'traditional' breakfast restaurant and my wife wanted to try here - she won and I am so glad she did! Their breakfast sandwiches are absolutely phenomenal! We had the wake up call, all American, and fresh oatmeal - all three were fantastic. Great coffee house atmosphere with friendly staff. I will definitely stop here again next time we are in town. read more

This is a marvelous place with moist, tasty sandwiches and rich coffee. The tuna salad melt on croissant was the best ever. And although I almost never drink coffee after 12 noon I gave in and had the richest cafe au lait. The parking is easy, and the location fun. You can see many things in Prairie du Chien nearby. read more

Would've liked to have visited but they were closed when we arrived at 4 as their website said they closed at 6. Went back the next day and was greeted by a "Closed 2nd &3rd See ya Tuesday" sign. Maybe next time. read more

This place needs even more stars. Surpassed our expectations even after perusing other glowing reports. Worth the wait- don't walk away if there is a line -- you will spend the same amount of time looking for another spot to eat and will miss out. Our group raves about the sweet cranberry BLT, cranberry walnut salad, Greek salad, and grilled cheese. read more

Simply the best tuna sandwich ive ever had. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I'd give this place a rare 5/5 stars. My partner also enjoyed their sandwich-gobbler. Highly recommend this place. read more

My husband and I went for a drive along the river road from Viroqua and decided to stop in Prairie du Chien for some food. So glad we picked Simply Coffeehouse and Eatery! They serve amazing food and great coffee--my husband said his mocha latte was the best he'd ever had. All of the employees were personable and friendly. Our food and drinks came out really quickly, and the atmosphere can't be beat. We will be making the trip again just for this place. read more

Met a friend for breakfast and a latte yesterday. I had the American breakfast sandwich and mint meltaway latte. I highly recommend both. The sandwich was delicious and filling. I will definitely stop again and try the soup and a sandwich for lunch. Very cool atmosphere also, love the rustic look. read more

I don't know why my review was rejected last year when I wrote it. I am disappointed in Yelp, but am still a huge fan of Simply. To keep things brief, they are very pleasant, outgoing people serving high quality foods in a very comfortable, yet kinda quirky atmosphere...reasonable prices. I hope this review makes it this time. Simply is the best place around. I drive 30 miles to come here. They close at three pm sharp. But if you come in at five minutes before, they will still treat you like the place is yours. I can't say enough good things but I'll give someone else a shot now. read more

What an absolute treat! The atmosphere is a delight and the food is outstanding. I had a turkey and artichoke sandwich that was really tasty, and the cheesy tortilla soup was also quite delicious. Don't miss this place if you are in the area. It's worth a visit Highly recommended! read more

Had a BLT with cranberries on it, it was wonderful, sorry can't remember the official name on the menu. They offer the 1/2 sandwich, soup or salad option, which I love because can' t ever decide on 1 item. I selected the Chicken Oriental Salad, also very good. Don't be fooled by the long narrow area that may look crowded, plenty of seating hidden farther back to the right. read more

I took a group of five lady's to this little coffee shop after reading the reviews. I was not let down!! We were treated very kindly despite arriving only half an hour before close. The food was EXCELENT!! and I mean we had 4 different meals and everyone was exceptional!! I can't wait to go there again!! read more

My favorite place to eat in town with healthy and delicious food. Try the cranberry walnut salad or chicken bacon ranch pita or the sweet cranberry BLT or the great home-made soups. The "pick two" lets you try two different choices and is a great option. Unfortunately only open for lunch. read more

What a nice surprise! Simply is simply delicious. Unique coffeehouse with really good food, good, friendly service, good coffee and yummy desserts. What more could you ask for? We'll be back. Oh yeah and clean restrooms, always a good sign. read more
