So many flavors.....basics like chocolate and vanilla bean, butter pecan, but some interesting ones like Kat Nip, which is a malt flavored ice cream with bits of Kit Kat bars in it, Creme Brûlée which is my absolute favorite, and much more! The waffle cones are their own recipe and they curl up the ends so the cone won't dribble too early. The service was EPIC, the social distancing and mask wearing was spot on and I truly feel like this experience is what has been missing from my life for the past 56 years. My mom went for a soft serve with strawberries and we were impressed that it was chunks of fresh strawberries, not a fake syrup. My husband went with an orange float and it was made with local Northwoods soda. It was all so good! They also have a menu of savory snacks like soft pretzels, nachos, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and sloppy joes. We kept talking about stopping by for a pretzel but it didn't work out so I can't speak much to their savory offerings, unfortunately. The stand itself is adjacent to the GT Butterfly House & Bug Zoo and, upon looking the place up online, I learned that Kettlewell's is the name of a groundbreaking moth researcher and that's the kind of nerdy trivia that I live for.
