Went to Cone Lickers with my wife and ordered one item to share. 15 minutes later, we are still waiting for the one item, while others behind us are being served. I told the owner that I think they missed our order and she quickly started to argue that there is no way. I told her to ask the customers with their ice cream but she just continued to argue. I know for a fact that this was the case...and the item came out dripping all over the top. She told the girl to just let it go. Needless to say...I will go to McBain from now on. What a fantastic addition to the Cadillac area. When I was a kid, there used to be an ice-cream shop (House of Flavors?) in the same location. But my new addiction to this place isn't only nostalgic This shop has outstanding ice-cream and artisanal waffle cones, it's clean and bright with lots of friendly servers, and it has a comfortable place to sit outside to enjoy your cone. Seems like this place is new...and they have quite a lot of kinks to work out. ~~ warning for immuno-compromised/vulnerable people: NOT a social distancing/sanitary environment, see below~~ Ice cream just okay, pretty overpriced for what it is. Homemade waffle cone a nice touch but still too much - almost $20 for 2 cones and a bottle of water + tip. Yikes. They also need to call out order by name, not what the order is comprised of -- someone took our order before we could get to it, and started eating. After, we were told the flavor we had ordered was too soft and couldn't be scooped anymore.... too bad that other customer took our order. If only they had said our name. (Also, I recognize that this is partially the customer's fault, she really needed to pay attention. We had literally no time to react because she was closer to the counter and started eating right away. But this could be avoided easily.) The reason for this 2 star review, though, is largely due to no mask requirement for customers inside, nor are they concerned about the amount of people in their space. We were the only two customers wearing masks while there. The center tables were crowded with families with small children, the line was backed up - no one was social distancing. No sign on the door asking for masks/limiting amount of people inside. (FYI Michigan currently has capacity limits in place, seems like they don't give a rip about safety). This place NEEDS to do better. At least all the employees were wearing masks, but what good does that do if customers do not help protect staff and other customers?? It didn't make any sense at all. We will not returning. Also, reading the reviews about the poor RV road-trippers from literally the past few days, makes me think these are not good people to give our money too! Geez. They had vegan ice cream (one soft serve and one hard ice cream flavor!), and the owner was very sweet and shared with us that they were rotating their non-dairy flavors weekly. It was so nice to have a vegan ice cream option in Cadillac! Slightly pricey, but I understand the demand probably isn't high and appreciate their accommodations. read more

I was not impressed with the service or the owner. The staff members are dishonest and not trained properly. My Mexican family was denied service which leads me to speculate. The Manager/Owner is also lacking integrity. Completely unprofessional in my opinion. She should direct her focus on expecting more from her employees and treating her customers with some Respect regardless of their skin color. Appalled at the treatment we received. The last time I went here the ice cream was fantastic, i got hard serve. However this time was no where near what I was expecting, I got a tropical and it was absolutely disgusting the ice cream was completely melted by the time i got it, there was no pineapple, the coconut was gross ,and the banana was over ripe and squishy. I'd say i recommend it but i do not. My friend got a double brownie fudge and she didn't get any brownie pieces only oreos and cookie dough. not sure what's happening here but not happy with it. read more

Wonderful ice cream shop! Very convenient location if you're camping at the state park, a quick walk over. Staff were very friendly and attentive to cleaning and sanitizing, masks were being worn at all times. Many great ice cream flavors and so many options to choose from, we'll be back! read more
