We had Cherries Moobilee. It had plenty of cherries, chunks of brownie, with a chocolate swirl. We had a small, but it was very generous. There were a variety of favors. I wish I had room for more. There were a few tables indoors and outdoor seating at picnic tables on a deck overlooking the farm. The service was quick, and workers were helpful. You may have to seek it out, but it is worth the effort. I would definitely recommend Moomers.

This place was right on the farm. Besides just regular ice cream, they had sundaes, floats,…read moreflurries, old fashioned sodas, etc. There were plenty of choices to choose from. The lengthy line moved quickly with an efficient process by the staff. An ice cream flight ($10?) was ordered. Five flavors were chosen. Each was about half a scoop I would say. The flavors I tried are below. Most of the ice cream was fulfilling, but not as creamy as I would have thought being homemade. Black Cherry - This was black cherry ice cream with pieces of Michigan cherry pieces. This was plain and did not really taste like anything except for the cherry pieces. Cherries Moobilee - This was black cherry ice cream with chocolate fudge swirl, brownie chunks, and black cherry chunks. Again, the ice cream was plain, but the pieces of everything else helped overcome that a little bit. Cherry Pie a La Mode - This was vanilla ice cream with cherry swirl and pie pieces. This was my favorite. The cherry swirl combined with the small pie pieces made for an appealing treat. Butter Pecan - This again just lacked flavor besides the pecan pieces. Lemon Raspberry - This was lemon ice cream with a raspberry swirl. This was just not good at all. The lemon did not taste like lemon at all, and there was hardly any raspberry. Even with a small portion, I would expect the swirl to be in every bite. Will I go back? Debatable.

Excellent big burgers and crispy fries. Best ice cream in town. Very small town, no stop lights,…read moreold time atmosphere. A few booths inside but blocked off. Had to wait a few minutes for several ice cream customers to leave. Moderate price at about $10 for a burger, med fries and med drink. Burger was loaded and juicy. Had to actually mash it down a bit to take a bite. A nice day and plenty of chairs and a couple tables outside. They said they would bring the food out to us and did so shortly. Recommended but probably will be a line on weekends.

The restaurant was covered in horrendous ai stickers which were being sold for outrageous prices. However the ridiculous pricing didn't stop there. The food was laughably priced. 9 dollars for a sandwich, not including a drink or a side. A side was 7 dollars and a drink 3 and I'm rounding down. When ordering the ladies there were obviously not enthused and had no care on how long people might wait. They even forgot my mother's drink and made her pay for another. Once again the inside was dirty. When the food, ever so slowly, came we sat outside. I will admit that was the only nice part, we sat outside with an umbrella shading us. When finally seeing the food I almost had hope that it might be good, not enough to justify the exorbitant pricing but good. The sandwhich looked big and the onion rings looked well fried. However when I took a bite of the sandwich I was extremely disappointed. Not a lick of seasons and the patty was absolutely disgustingly cheap and tough. You would be better off at McDonalds. The onion rings while more visually appealing were also quite bland. And the size of the large drink was not nearly big enough to justify the price. The real kicker is for three people it was almost 80 dollars. It would be better to eat at McDonalds and get ice cream at fudgee's in the next town over.

Fantastic sandwich and pizza option if you're headed to or from Sleeping Bear Dunes!…read more We came across Shipwreck Cafe after stopping for gas next door on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We wanted a kid friendly option and came in for the pizza, but ended up being blown away by the massive sandwich menu! Don't be discouraged by the line - it moves FAST!!!! The young people at the register and in the kitchen are efficient and so nice!!! We arrived about half an hour before the sign says pizzas are ready, and the lovely man at the register said "sure!" when we asked if we could order a pizza. The menu has something for everyone - Including plenty of vegetarian options (I think they even had a vegan option). I loved my Griffon, and the meat eaters in our group enjoyed the SS Noronic (a BLT) and the Fitzgerald. Our kids devoured their cheese pizza! They also carry Great Lakes Co Chips, which are some of the best potato chips we've ever had. Our sandwiches were all so inventive with delicious, fresh ingredients, amazing condiments, and the most freshly baked "pretzel rolls" ever. If this place wasn't a vacation stop for us, we'd be back all the time! Our kiddos favorite part, bedsides the pizza, were the tiny plastic swords that came in our sandwiches holding them together. When they each wanted one more sword, we went back inside and the staff inside was so used to kids asking for more tiny swords that their response to "May we have two more swords?" Was "Sure! What colors?!" Very different from what the response would have been where we're from. :) We even came back later in the day for the frozen custard!!! All in all, it was a great experience with great food, great service, plenty of outdoor picnic tables under umbrellas, and something for everyone to eat.
