Simply in Langley has always been my go to place for repairs and new products. I read some of the views below, I had to laugh at the complaints of one particular customer back in 2017. I am a senior and brought my slow running computer in to be 'fixed'. They did an awesome job, in 24 hours. Along with the clean up, I came home with a new SSD external HD. In the almost thirty years I've been dealing with Simply Computing, I have, on occasion, sought the services of several competitors, usually as a result of a coupon or local promotional. However, none of the other guys offered the level of customer service and quality of experience that Simply Computing has consistently shown me. My latest experience with them has differed from my first only in the location. I drive a bit farther to get to them these days. And  I pass at least a half dozen competitors along the way - including The Apple Store at Guildford Town Center Mall. Dont bother, I bought a brand new imac from them - they sent it to me and the thing consistently took a couple minutes to log in, thats how bad the buffer was. Consider the price you pay for "Apple Certification" very wisely. I went in to get an estimate on getting a battery replaced. They said that they would have to replace the whole top of the keyboard along with it, and it would cost $400 and take 4 days. Startled by this, I went to another shop to get a second opinion and said it would cost $200 and take 30 minutes or less, and that the service was easy, so it was mostly just the cost of the battery. They were perplexed why they would quote me to have the whole keyboard replaced. Always get a second opinion. read more

I had an abysmal experience with this store. Had an issue with my MacBook Air (which wouldn't turn on). I took it in, and the technician said that I needed to replace a part that would cost me nearly $300. I couldn't afford that, and after reading reviews that this place over charges customers, I retrieved my computer and brought it to an Apple store (the one in Guildford Mall). The Apple technician at the mall took 15 minutes to look at my computer, realized that the part wasn't damaged at all, but the wires were a little corroded. He cleaned them off, fixed it up, and gave it back, free of charge. Simply Computing clearly likes to charge people for parts and repairs that they don't need. I feel cheated and furious that this place was going to clean me out of $ for absolutely no reason. Shame on them. I wouldn't recommend this store for your Apple needs. Go right to an Apple store, even though the wait might be longer. Save yourself some grief! I'm never going back. read more

Instead of buying a brand new 27 inch Mac from the Apple Store, where I went first, I saved a ton of money by just getting a new hard drive installed in my 2011 computer by Simply Computing. I've NEVER done this before, but i for some reason feel deeply obligated to share this! If you are needing any sort of repair regarding an Apple product, THIS is not the place to go!!!!! Go directly to Apple they will take care of you honorably! While this place is an " Apple dealer" they can and will make there best attempt to screw you out of your earned manufacturers warranty to get there piece of the pie!!! Be warned! And this is a hands on experience not hearsay!!!!That being said i fully understand there desire and need to get there piece of the action! But all i can think about is some unassuming gramma or single mum walkin into the place and getting HOSED for a few hundred that coulda filled the freezer!!!!! read more

Amazing! I've been dealing with this location for years now and can't say enough good about them. Twice now, they have restored my laptop from near death and have had me back up and running within 24-48 hours. As a website developer I can't afford to be without my computer for any length of time, and Stefan and the team at the Langley location always come through to deliver above and beyond service and turnaround time at totally reasonable rates. I've dealt with this store a few times out of necessity due to its location. Once they charged over $100 just to open my laptop up when the Apple store later charged me nothing to do the same thing. Today I went in & waited in line to get help even though there were about 4 people on the sales floor. Stephan, the assistant manager, came out from the back and asked me what I needed. I told him I wanted to check my laptop cord because it seeemed to stop working yesterday. 1) he first asked if I had anything to connect it to...ummmm, YES, i had my iphone...but isn't this the computer store? i was already sensing attitude like he was hoping i had nothing to connect it to so he didn't have to help me 2) he then said something to another customer who was leaving, and this was AFTER he'd asked me if he could help me. Kind of unprofessional, but I was still trying to be patient. 3) the store telephone rang & although there were many other employees there, he decided to interrupt me again & take the phone call instead. So I left. I would rather drive an hour to the Pacific Centre Apple store than deal with this horrific lack of service. I've given them numerous chances and am really disgusted in how I was treated. I had much better service at a hole in the wall computer place in NYC than here. I do not recommend this store at all. Very disappointing. read more

Over the last 20 years, we've purchased probably around 5 Mac's from this store. Can't speak about the other reviews here. We've had nothing but good service and reliable computers. Currently we have two Macs and one PC in the house, and we prefer Macs because there's less problems with viruses etc. There's been a few issues with our MacBook over the last couple of years. We want to keep it rather than trade it in, because it still has a CD/DVD player, and that comes in handy for some things. So, our old guy has needed a bit of service. Outstanding customer service experience at this location today. I literally just went to the effort of creating an account on here (long overdue anyway) so I could write this review. It is right before a long weekend, my laptop was unresponsive after a software update gone wrong and they could have simply told me I would have to leave it with their tech guy. Which also means I would have been without a laptop for 4 days. Instead, they sat for over an hour with me trying multiple approaches to bring my laptop back to life. They were friendly, super helpful and in my opinion went above and beyond to support my computer needs. PS - I left there with a fully functioning laptop! BOOM! Simply has been my go-to place for Apple gear for years. I like to buy local and they've stood the test of time. An example of why I keep coming back: I discovered my iPhone was eligible for the iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program just before the 3-year window expired. Because I got the phone on contract thru my wireless provider, not Simply, I thought I was going to have to deal directly with Apple. While I'm sure the Apple Store would have done fine, I had to jump through hoops to reserve a Genius Bar appointment there days in advance. I would have had to drive all the way to Coquitlam Centre and back - during rush hour - in the miserable rain. What a hassle. Instead, I was able to walk right into Simply Langley and they diagnosed my phone on the spot. The store seemed busy (especially for a Monday!) yet I didn't have to wait around. I left the phone with their capable service department. The replacement would only take an hour or so. It didn't even take that long - it was ready before I even finished going for lunch! No hassle here! Expectations pleasantly exceeded. That's what I've always liked: I can basically DROP IN whenever I have Apple/Mac questions or I need suggestions. My iPhone now has a new lease on life. Some places might have said, "Oh, well, that phone's almost three years old. You should really get a new one." No such pressure at Simply. Besides, that means I can save the money for other Mac gear. read more

I was on the market for a new iMac, I was waiting for the new iMac Pro. I was going to buy it, but when I talked to them realized in my case would be a waste of money, overkill of my needs. So instead forking out almost 10 grand, I bought one for 45 hundred and they traded my old one too. They were honest enough to stop me. I've never written a review before, but as a previous business owner, I know how customers should be treated, and I was dumb-founded by how quickly and carelessly I was dismissed when I went in to Simply Computing (Willowbrook Mall) with a problem. After explaining the situation to the "service provider", I was handed a paper and told to reinstall the software on a 1 day old iPhone. No explanation, no questions, no discussion, no customer service. I was brushed off like a pest. I wish I had his name. He should not be working with the public. I won't go back to that store again, and will let others know about the kind of service they provide. read more

I drove from Coquitlam to Langley because A friend told me how helpful the staff was with her and I wasn't disappointed. They were patient and informative even when I asked very basic questions. I took my iMac in for warranty repair and found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I was very pleasantly surprised when they phoned me the next day to tell me they had fixed the computer and it was ready for pick-up. It was a s/w problem, which Eric, the tech, advised me that Apple doesn't normally cover under warranty. But he said that he had already contacted Apple and arranged to have them cover the cost, so I didn't have to pay anything. Very nice. thank you for the great service! read more

Sales associate Nick sold me a brand new macbook air and transferred all of my old data for me. This was a few hours before closing he said it should be ready in an hour-hour and a half. 30 minutes before closing he said there was still at least 30 minutes left on the transfer and he suggested I come back the next day to pick it up. This was surprising to me since he said it would be done that day with no warning it might take longer. I let him know this was not an ok solution as I couldn't get back to the store the following day. Nick offered to stay after closing without overtime to wait for the transfer to be completed. I REALLY appreciate what he did. I give Nick 5 stars for this. Simply as a business I give 2 stars. A message for management, please ensure that your associates inform the customers that transfers vary in timing and the associates need to be provided with other solutions for the customers rather than just saying 'come back tomorrow'. He let me know when my computer was ready for pick up and, when it was inconvenient for me, went the extra mile quite literally, and brought the repaired Mac to my house, making sure I set it up correctly! So I have been searching in my area for a place that wasn't going to take me for my money. All needed was a screen replacement, i knew that. Just to look at my mac they wanted to charge over 60.$ just to look at it and would not give any type of price as if i decided not to go ahead with the fix that they were going to make me pay they got 60$ for 2 seconds. NO WAY. they are very vague in their response when you wanted to know how much and it was very clear they were not going to tell me. I live in Langley and dont want to go all the way to an apple store because their prices are rediculous as it is. There are other stores that are not as sneaky by as these people. Simply.ca most stores I have dealt with are nothing like this one. If you are in langley and looking for help with any type of computer I recommend Icompute. its on Fraser Highway. 25$ and less than 100$ to get a replacement screen. dont waste your time with these guys they will take you for whatever they decide it will cost.
