My party chose to order the lunch specials that are offered on weekdays. These include a choice of house or cucumber salad, and two small plates or sushi rolls for a fixed price. Both salads were flavorful and good-sized portions. We loved the spicy crab, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura rolls! I was impressed that they removed the inedible portion of the shrimp tail on the latter, something most restaurants fail to do. But, can we talk about the Detroit-style pizza? Not only was it authentic, but it was absolutely delicious! As someone who grew up in Detroit, Blackbird did a phenomenal job with it, and made me feel nostalgic.
