I was really happy with the conversations I had back-and-forth with Jacki who manages the accounts. She always responded right away with all the information I requested. Their prices are reasonable and their team is excellent. I was able to schedule a hair and make up trial in Braintree about a month and a half prior to my wedding. I was so happy with my results. My make up and hair artist was Noelle. She is absolutely incredible. Jacki gave me Noelle because she said she specializes in braids and I knew I wanted my bridesmaids and I to have braids in our hair on the day. Very bohemian look. I'd originally planned to go with another company, but my trial with them was absolutely terrible and I needed to find someone else, fast. I'd been recommended to call Special Event Beauty, and they got me in the very next afternoon on a Sunday for my trial. I know the ladies had to rush around to make it work, and I can't them them enough for that! Maryanne and Rachel came to The Groton Inn to do the hair and makeup of myself (the bride), my bridesmaids, my mother and soon to be mother-in-law. They showed up promptly, and even worked quickly with the inn to get a few taller chairs in our room to make their jobs easier. Everyone had a wonderful time with both of them, chatting and sharing a lot of laughs. It was the first time a few of them had ever had their hair and makeup done by someone else, and they put them at ease. Everyone loved the end results (including myself, after a bunch of little changes the day of - which they were both so wonderful about and didn't make me feel badly for being so indecisive in the moment) and I loved working with them both - I hope that I get to do it again sometime in the future - you know, for someone else's wedding ;)

Basically if you are familiar with false lashes, Susana gave me the red cherry wispy lashes for my extension, except they look as if they are my real lashes - Very Pretty!!! I have slept on it overnight and it's super comfortable, unlike other extensions that I had done in the past, Susana nailed it! She makes sure each lash of the extension is not placed too close to the eyelid or touching the eyelid - she applies each lash precisely onto your own natural lash without being too close or touching the eyelid; that's what made it so comfortable for me. With the extension she designs for me, I feel glam & girly even without any makeup on. Susana is talented, she will make you look pretty! The boutique itself is chic, polished, super clean and very relaxing. Super hygiene throughout the whole process. At the very first appointment she went over the basics, care, cleaning, brushing, etc. I have followed her to any location change she's done throughout the years ever since. She is an amazing and knowledgeable esthetician. I'm not ashamed to admit I had quite the 90s pencil eyebrows look going on when we started out. She let me know in the sweetest yet honest way that my eyebrows needed a change. She is warm, welcoming and easy going. When it comes to scheduling she will do her best to work around your schedule and accommodate you as best she can. The way she does eyelash extensions is a true skill. I constantly get compliments on mine and recommend her to everyone I know. Our appointments always seem to go by in the blink of an eye, whether we are catching up on gossip, having a somewhat therapy session on my personal life or she's letting me catch up on much needed sleep during my lash naps. She offered to fix it but whenever I tried to reschedule with her it was hard to find a time that worked and she wasn't really following up/responsive. Overall, it wasn't worth the money for me and there are far better places nearby that can give you what you're looking for.
