We also observed a staff member eating in an open area visible to guests. These details may seem minor individually, but together they contributed to an overall impression of poor professionalism and lack of attention to the dining experience. As for the food and drinks, we ordered a mimosa and were charged an additional $2 for orange juice. I have no issue paying an additional charge when the product justifies it, but the mimosa itself did not taste or look like a typical mimosa. The appearance and coloring were particularly unusual, as shown in the attached photo. I also ordered the chicken sandwich with waffles. Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely thin and dry, looks like chicken jerky, with a disproportionate amount of breading. As shown in the attached photos, the chicken itself was not what I would expect from a dish at this price point. The sandwich overall had an unusual flavor and texture that made it difficult to identify what the dish was ultimately trying to achieve, which is just a chicken sandwich.... Finally, the pricing is difficult to justify given the quality. I don't mind paying more for a meal when the food, service, and overall experience support the price. However, in this case, I did not feel that the quality matched the cost, particularly when looking at some of the à la carte pricing shown on the menu. Based on my experience and the patterns mentioned in other reviews, there appear to be some ongoing management and operational issues that could benefit from attention. I also noticed that some responses to negative reviews come across as defensive rather than focused on addressing the customer's concerns. How a business responds to criticism is part of the overall customer experience, and in my opinion, the responses here did not leave a positive impression. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively, because there is clearly room for improvement in both the food quality and the overall professionalism of the operation.
