He recommended the best layout for the space and suggested opening a soffit to provide more room and improve ventilation for the shower/tub unit. Throughout the project, he or a team member was present to monitor and manage all aspects, from demolition, replumbing, and rewiring to the final placement of fixtures, ensuring everything met building standards and our satisfaction. He also addressed mold and water issues, using quality materials to prevent future problems. One suggestion for homeowners planning a remodel: make sure all products, fixtures, and tiles are ordered, delivered, and inspected before the project starts. Upon removing the downstairs shower, we saw new ideas for the remodel including moving the entry from the dining room to the laundry room and then decided to remodel the laundry room. There were many issues such as plumbing against a wall where it would freeze, the toilet connection was crooked, and a joist supporting the bathroom floor was cut. Jason came up with solid solutions and when completed we were amazed. The differences are so great. I don't think we would have had the same result if we didn't use Jason. Once he assessed, and understood the urgency he sent a quote that night, and made an appt that same week to install the door/door frame. Forget the big-box stores, don't waste your time and especially your money. Been there done that…read more Going on a recommendation from our local contractor, we made our way to Tubs & Stuff. Our downstairs bathroom ended up being part of our full kitchen remodel and we needed a new toilet and then a new faucet for the kitchen. We stopped in on a Tuesday, few people in the shoproom and ended uip dealing with a great guy, Ken, come to find out he is the owner. Told him what we needed, unfortunately the toilet is a special size (10" rough) so options were limited. Ken showed us multiple options and set us up with a Kohler, same money as the local big box stores and they had a faucet for our kitchen on display, which my wife and I instantaneously loved so Ken staired us in the right direction. Great unit. Ken was very professional and very informative. Toilet and faucet were ordered that day (Tuesday) and entire order was in by Thursday evening. Now I truly judge a place on how bad situations are dealt with and unfortunately we ran into two of them, none of which was any fault of the store. But Ken handled the issues like a champ and truly made the experience even better. The toilet upon install had a hair-line crack in the tank in which water was dripping out once installed. The faucet head button for the spray and regualr flow broke and got stuck in regular mode. I called on a Wednesday afternoon to speak with Ken, he apologized and reassured me that both items would be taken care of immediately. They actually were! New tank for toilet was in next day and faucet head was shipped right to the house. We are totally satisfied with our experience and will not hesitate to use them again for a bathroom remodels and additionally recommend Tubs & Stuff to anyone we can.
