Extremely unprofessional and rude customer service. I received an email saying my appointment was canceled on the day of, so I gave them a call. The receptionist informed me that they had called me several times and left voicemails to confirm the appointment, however I did not receive a single call or voicemail from them. I'm not sure if they have the incorrect phone number on file, but instead of rectifying the situation, the person I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. Would not recommend this place to anyone. There are many other better options on the island that will actually treat you like a paying customer. Update in response to business owner: Thanks for your response. I'd like to clarify a few points from my perspective, as I feel parts of your reply are dismissive of the customer experience. First, I did not receive any missed calls or voicemails from your business prior to the cancellation email, despite what you've stated. It's not acceptable to imply I was unresponsive when I had no way of knowing you were trying to reach me. Second, when I called to understand why my appointment was canceled, the person I spoke to was anything but polite. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or offer any real assistance, I felt I was met with an attitude that was unnecessarily condescending and unprofessional. I would've been understanding since there clearly is an issue with the phone number, but the lack of customer service and any resolution to the situation prompted me to write this review. A little empathy would have gone a long way. While I understand the holiday may have created some scheduling challenges, I don't believe that excuses the way the conversation was handled. I had the call on speakerphone, and even my friend commented on the tone and attitude I was met with. Rather than repeatedly insisting that several attempts were made to reach me, I believe it would've been more helpful to focus on finding a solution. If I were in the business owner's position, I would've said something along the lines of: "We did try reaching out to confirm your appointment, but it looks like there may have been an issue with the contact number we have. Since the Fourth of July is a busy holiday, we had to cancel, but we'd be happy to reschedule and ensure we have the right number moving forward." I asked for two white tips to be fixed. $28. She did a great job. It took one hour. They were able to get me in within five minutes. The place is very pretty fancy. The decor is golden marble. It's clean. The fix was on the more expensive side. My full set cost $45 so it was more than expected but happy she was able to do it quickly. (just hair and nails) I have been going back and forth about covering my gray since my hair has grown out of the color and the gray was starting to take over. So my GF convinced me to go it and I did. So the first person that came to mind was my nail tech Tee @ Simply Lavish. I reached out and ask her to recommend the hairstylist that could do what I wanted and highly recommended Shyra. Shyra killed it....it was a long process being as though what I wanted was kind of complicated but and did it. 4 hrs of conversation with the workers and other clients kept me occupied. I was the only customer in the salon and all the other associates were talking badly about their own clients. Made me feel uncomfortable as a client in the chair. Then almost all of them left to go to times supermarket and talking loudly. For me the service was not worth the money. Super unprofessional staff. Talking badly and swearing with each other in front of a paying customer is not the type of environment I feel comfortable going to. I have always left happy with my service here; however, I have noticed that during the many times I have come here, there always seems to be a baby crying in the salon. It looks like some of the workers will try to soothe the baby, but he just seems to keep crying. I got my hair done by shy, full highlight and cut. After my original hairdresser moved out of state I was nervous going to someone new. I hit the jackpot as my hair is very difficult. She got the blonde to a perfect sandy blonde and I usually pull orange. The cut has grown out a bit but still held a perfect shape! It's never been this easy to style or even just wash and go. I will only go to this salon and spa for services now that I see how incredibly the results are. I'm in the military which they offer military discount on certain days. Tee is an awesome awesome technician she just gets me and understands what I want for my nails. She's a perfectionist and I love that about her. Get a glitter in your solid polish? She'll see it and most definitely not let you walk out like that. My polish even started peeling a day after - and she had me come in the next day to fix -for free- she pays attention to detail and I love that about her. Lani is also amazing! Lani was so patient and she went above and beyond with her work, took her time to find every lash to attach extensions to! The price is competitive with other salons in the neighborhood, definitely not over priced especially for the service I received.
