The other was an update bath/shower combo with kerdi and subway tiles. This one was tricky because there was a window right in the middle, which he framed out with tile. He was meticulous with his work and the lines and planes are all perfect, which is no easy feat, as nothing in our 1930's house is plumb or square. It's clear he takes pride in his work and he was very easy to work with. He's a nice guy who is on time, keeps a neat workspace and does excellent work. What else could you ask for? I will hire him again and highly recommend his services.

They drilled holes at the bottom of the wall to let air in, but never told me that they wouldn't repair said holes. This is what the First Responder said, verbatim, when I asked her if they'd be fixing the holes. "We prevent microbes from growing. Holes would b (sic) by licensed contractor. They would need to fill holes in with a caulking or something. Thanks Baseboard can go over the caulking I would assume" We paid in full before the job was completed. Maybe that was our mistake.

( obviously the reason we replaced it was to avoid this mess:((((() I called Servpro immediately and they were here to assess the damage right away. The young man who came looked and told me exactly what to do, who to call etc. and send a crew right away. They cut out the flooded carpet and set up fans . They were so courteous :) A few days later another crew came, took out the fans and cut out dry wall . They cleaned everything and also very polite and efficient!!! It's a great company and if you're freaking out and need a hand to hold, it's Servpro:)

Look, I know I am awfully far away from good old West Hartford. But listen up…read more I was on a trip with some college buddies out to Hartford CT where a friend of mine grew up. We decided it wouldn't be a "real" Friday night unless we had a little night on the town. We started our night at Barcelona which is quite an impressive place but a bit too formal for the likes of us. So we began to hit some spots "off the grid." During this adventure, my friend John ended up having a little too much whiskey. HA, we decided to let him doze off at the bar while we continue to party away. By the time we went home, we had to "man handle" John over the shoulder and into his parent's place! Trying to be sneaky as to not wake them from their sleep John decided now would be a good time to wake up and hurl all over the brand new carpet. Ever seen what pasta, wine, beer and whiskey look like all mixed up and coming back up? Well, it's not pretty. In an attempt to keep the whole thing quiet (or at least we thought) we decided to search for carpet cleaners immediately. We filled out the form on West Hartford Carpet Cleaners website and got an email response within an hour or so! This guy is dedicated! He said to call him ASAP at 6:30 am and he would squeeze us in before the first job of the day. When they arrived, Johns parents were still sound asleep as was most of the crew. For me... Well, I don't drink so I woke up and got the cleaners inside. Unfortunately, when they started to work Johns parents came flying downstairs to see what the noise was and saw the cleaners.. and the mess. Luckily, the stain and mess was all cleaned and the damage to Johns wallet was minuscule. All was right with the world again!
