The monthly pricing seemed to change every couple of months, and the locker sizes are awkward and not particularly well suited for storing wine. Access is another major issue. Getting in and out of the facility is cumbersome, especially when you're carrying multiple bottles or cases of wine. Overall, the wine storage area feels like an afterthought rather than something that was intentionally designed and properly managed for wine collectors. The tasting room was also disappointing. While you're shown a tasting room, members apparently don't have access to actually use it, and the overall setup is strange and not very inviting. For a facility specifically offering wine storage, I expected much better attention to the practical needs of wine collectors.

Apparently, the national number gets kickbacks when they circumvent the phone calls to them, and they charge significantly more than Alren at the Plano office charges. Like a LOT more. So, if you call their local number, make sure to ask the full name of the representative and where he/she/they are at the moment. Or just ask for Alren. He will take good care of you. The place is SO clean and new and climate controlled. It's the nicest storage center I'd ever seen, and the local staff there is exceptionally nice and friendly.

Plus the ease of being able to drive up so close to the units. We worked with Wendy and she's been so kind and helpful and informative through the entire process. I did a lot of research and this place was definitely the right choice. We really appreciated that All Storage had a great intro special but that Wendy was also super up front about what the pricing would be after the special ended. Our close friends had a horrible experience with one of the bigger chain storage places hiking their rent up by insane amounts after the initial first month offer, and that's why we wanted to find a more locally run place. Wendy walked us through everything and went over what we could realistically expect in terms of pricing and it was all very reasonable. She went above and beyond in ways she didn't have to and we really apprecaited it. It ended up being harder than I thought it would be to find a clean, secure, affordable and trustworthy storage place, and so I wanted to make sure to write a review for All Storage in case it can help out someone else who's in the same boat. Aaannd at other times... there are 2 people? How about y'all work on your staff schedule a bit, and make sure there's someone manning the counter 100% of the time, when you folks are open? The front door's locked, more often than not, as well. Took me around a week to get a space rented, after trying to do it "in-person 3x (nobody there during posted "open" hours). Finally did it on-line, but then had to visit 2 more times to actually get the key to the space. About 10 days total. Lost 3 days of paid space because I didn't have the key yet. No, they didn't reimburse me. (fwiw... I've worked retail enough, during the course of my lifetime, to know you folks need AT LEAST 2 people on the clock to manage a property of this size.. one person ALWAYS behind the counter and to answer calls. Nobody on-site EVER answers the phone, always goes to corporate answering service) Would be nice if there was better lighting in/around the individual storage space (this is related to 3 different "indoor" spaces I've rented, and 1 outdoor space). I have to bring a battery powered light to see the back of the unit. In this current world of "bluetooth this" and "wi-fi that", there should be some wireless/contact-free method of getting past the security gate via the Public Storage phone app. I don't know who picked their nose before punching in their code the time before me. The method of using a gate code on a keypad, a combo of symbols and numbers, is a little antiquated, and rather easy to foul up in the dark or rain, considering how long the actual code is. Comparison shopping leads me to think the prices are "ok". I chose this location because it's closest to my home. Simple logic there.

They welcomed us inside, gave us water, and let us cool off in the air conditioning while we waited for help. Their compassion and willingness to help complete strangers meant more than they probably realize. It's rare to find businesses that genuinely care about people, and these are truly good guys who went out of their way to help when we needed it most.
