For the value I thought it was worthwhile especially with how easily they could fit you into the schedule. I felt a bit badly that it seemed like the woman giving the massages was also handling the front desk, but she had smooth system that worked our pretty well. When she finished with the last person showed me my room and then went back out to finish their payment. I thought the pressure and style was good for what I requested. I said I was ok with deep tissue, but I think she went a bit lighter it being my first time there. I thought it a bit odd that they didn't do any questions initially, but I also know most masseuse's can tell what your body needs so I usually leave it up to them to work on what needs to be done. Though I thought she went light on me, I had my typical response of being a bit sore the next day, but I just kept hydrating and moving. Overall I had a positive experience though it wasn't exactly what I'd expected.

I experienced watsu with Paul first at the Courage Center. Living with fibromyalgia and working…read morefull-time was very challenging for me. I had increasing difficulties with walking, sitting, performing any movements really without pain, among other symptoms. I heard about watsu through a presentation at the fibromyalgia support group at Courage Center and thought I'd look into it. I met Paul at my first appointment. The results I felt from just that first experience left me sleeping better than I had for months. Pain was lessened, too. I continued seeing Paul monthly after that. I became more flexible and my outlook on life improved. After Paul left Courage Center, I followed him to his new locations - yes, I am a watsu groupie/junkie - whatever! When I am able to set up watsu time, I can because I know I will feel better for it. Paul also teachers yoga at various locations. I took his classes on shiatsu yoga for several months to see if I could extend the well being I experienced with watsu. That, too, helped. When time became a crunch for me, I admit I picked watsu. I have been experiencing it for about 3 1/2 - 4 years now and will continue with watsu as my schedule permits.

What a fun spot to have some R&R with the girls :) We each got two different sessions - I had a facial and then a massage. I really liked my Asian gua sha facial. It was cooling on my face and I got a lot of hydrating treatments. My massage was also really relaxing and my masseuse focused on my problem spots (my shoulders for sure). I would probably come back again for a massage. I think the facial was a little basic so I would opt for a more specialized facial next time.
