It's inviting, has all the hair needs I could want, and flexible on scheduling bug the most important thing to me is they know how to style my hair. I got a facial with Patricia and it was amazing! It was very relaxing and my skin feels great. The only thing I don't like is that the walls are pretty thin so sometimes you can hear people talking or walking by but that's not really a big deal. This is an overdue review for massage with Lindsey (January 2022). From booking to checkout - it was a great experience. The salon worked with me to help get services for 2 at the same time. My mom got a facial which she loved and Lindsey was my massage therapist. Room was peaceful and massage was perfect and what I really needed! It had been over 3 years since my last massage. I specifically saved Lindsey's business card to follow up with this review because I didn't have time to do it immediately. TY! I'll be back next time I'm in the area. read more

I am writing this review based on customer service and cleanliness. The young lady at the counter was great, she was very friendly and tried to accommodate my tea request even though the salon had no real tea choices except coffee. My stylist however arrived at just about three minutes before my appointment started. When she picked me up it was three minutes past my time. I know three minutes is really nothing, but nonetheless I think she should have been punctual, because had she arrived earlier, she would have had time to clean the hair station as you will soon find out. Second, her greeting was mediocre at best. She looked at me, said hello, and quickly turned to her phone rather than actually acknowledge me. I was expecting maybe even a handshake, how are you, etc. nope, that interaction did not happen. Second, whoever was there the night before did not clean up. There was hair on the foot rest of the chair and also on the hair brush sitting on the roll cart. When the hairstylist proceeded to get rid of it and gather another one from the drawer, from the sunlight I could see there was still a couple of hairs on the new brush, I told her, and she just removed them and proceeded to brush me to which at that point it was out of my hands. She barely said like 7-10 words the entire time I was there. Seemed like she didn't wanna be there and she was in a bad mood. While her cut was fine, this less than stellar attitude and unsanitary practices is what needs to change. So this is the second time I have had a bad experience at simply serene. I know other people like it. That's awesome. Maybe they have had better experiences than I've had. I had an appointment for a massage 90 minute with Brenda and they called me to change it to 12:30 and I said oh OK thinking I was going to see Brenda who I made the appointment with! NOT! They switched it up on me with another person and I was very upset. should've gone with my gut and walked out, but I didn't. I gave her a chance my bad! They were unapologetic and since I was in pain, I went with it thinking I was getting a 90 minute, but the girl who massaged me said I'll give you an extra 15 so I'm thinking an extra 15 on top of the 90 not knowing it was gonna be a 60+15 they charged me For a 90 minute but tried to charge me $130 for a hot stone which I never received nor wanted and I got so much product on me I felt like a greased pig ready for the oven! Not happy and probably will never go back except for a facial with Jazlynn who is awesome! Waiting in the manager to call me! read more

This is a review based on the need for transparency and better communication by the salon. All easy fixes. Not the quality of service by the hair stylist. Make sure that the receptionist taking your appointment understands your request. I asked for an appointment for a blow out and to put in my one (1) halo clip in extension- usually $65-$125. Usually takes just about an hour with shampoo all included at a Blo-dry bar. Upon paying for my visit I was shocked to find out that this same service is about 3x that at this salon. When I arrived they had me down for a Brazilian blow out. not the service I requested nor confirmed pre-visit. The service by the hairstylist was great but their pricing practices are not clear. Below is their explanation post visit after I emailed them---None of this information was shared via the telephone, email or text prior to my appointment- nor is it clear on their website. "Our pricing for wedding or event styles is $75.00+ and we ask that the client comes with clean dry hair for this to be done. Our price to put in hair extensions is $150.00 a weft or row (some have multiple rows and pieces) and we don't normally do tape ins much anymore and then the clip in and other ones are a case by case basis (stylist let's us know the price). Our pricing for a shampoo blow-dry is $65" The pricing noted above means your hair experience starts at $290 and goes up from there. The products used for shampoo are olaplex. The salon also shared with me that I was given a discount for my services -which I wasn't made aware of upon pay out. I was charged $200+plus tip. read more

I'm visiting from out of state and my friend and I treated ourselves to this wonderful establishment. I got a 60 minute facial and my friend enjoyed a 60 minute massage. My esthetician, Donna, was extremely knowledgeable about my skin needs and her personality was radiant. I am extremely pleased with her service and would highly recommend her to all my friends and family. I will be back soon and would love to see her again! read more

Never got my hair cut because I sat there and waited well past my appointment time. No one bothered to tell me it was going to be quite a while, & I had to leave to go to work. I won't be back to try again. A client's time is just as important as the salons. Give them a heads up if stylist is running far behind! read more

My cut was perfect. Their website... not so much. Prices need to be updated! Shampoo and style posted at $43 then after the fact they tell you there's been a price increase to $65! My hair is 4 inches long at the most! So cut and shampoo $125.00. Would not honor their website prices! read more

I've experienced multiple services and after several years I'm compelled to write a review on what I have experienced consistently. This is a spa that i rate it as a 3-star due to quality of overall experience. The majority of employees are nice but not friendly or welcoming. I initially started with hair services. After a couple of visits, I gave up. My experience with hair service was below standard. I've done the eyebrow threading and facials with Vandana and she is wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, and caring! Highly recommend her. Pedicure-Well, the work done is great. The products used are nice too. However, the lack of joy and friendliness by the employee makes one wonder if it's worth it. Massage-this is good too...Nice not rude but not friendly. Going to a spa place like this is a special treat for myself. A special time away...and I do expect employees to be friendly, welcoming, glad I'm there, and caring. read more

Talk about one aaaaamazing salon! I have been getting my hair done by Crystal Wiedenfeld at Simply Serene for over 10 years now! Every. Single. Time. she has cut and color my hair, it has looked exactly as I requested it to and have received multiple compliments on it afterwards! With such amazing customer service and her ability to deliver the perfect hair for me every time, I absolutely reached out to her when the time came for my wedding. Crystal did both my make-up and hair for my bridal pictures and wedding, both of which have been included in a premier wedding magazine! On the day of my wedding (which was a Friday evening), she actually came with her staff over an hour to my wedding venue to do both hair and make up for my entire bridal party plus my mother and mother-in-law's as well. The make-up was lite in application yet covered every flaw on our faces and best part of all it lasted all night long! And each person had a personalized up-do that came out picture perfect! The convenience of having them come to the venue, finish everyone's hair and make-up before picture time was absolutely priceless! I normally don't write reviews but I'm super disappointed in the service. I have bleached my own hair before and gotten it professionally bleached and toned and so I know how my hair is with bleach. I told her my hair does not need to be sitting in bleach for long as it does tend to "pull" color fast. She left the bleach in my hair for about 45 minutes and I knew she had fried my hair, she took the foils off and tried to keep me from seeing it after she washed it but I could see chunks of my hair coming off in the brush!! I didn't want to chop 4 inches off my hair but really was left with no option. I left there with ugly looking highlights when I asked for a balayage and was still charged $250!! Here I am 2 weeks later and my hair is still breaking at the ends after using olaplex multiple times. Very disappointed. read more

Nice small salon The facials are the best! Dansana is very conscientious and tailors the facial to exactly what your skin needs. My skin has improved tremendously since coming here. I have used Chanel skin care for years, so this is a very worthy facial. Veronica's manicures and pedicures are also of a high quality. She allows you to just relax and unwind The spa chairs are the best quality, too. Alex does my hair. Her forte is color. I think she does the best color of any past hairdressers My color lasts and her conditioners don't weight my fine hair flat. Some people think this salon is pricey?? Really, you pay for what you get and worth every penny. No harsh surprises at this salon, it's great! read more

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews on here! The ladies working here are so incredibly sweet, the salon itself is adorable and very calming, and they always do a great job on my hair. But specifically, I wanted to do a shout-out for Bri! Bri did the hair and makeup for my wedding, and if I tried to write about everything she did for me to help make the day as smooth as possible, I could wind up typing a novel. My hair and makeup looked beautiful, she listened very carefully to the look I was hoping for, and she was so fast and efficient, she managed to do the hair of a few other ladies in my wedding party who weren't even scheduled to have their hair done by her that day! Her sweet, calm and gracious temperament kept the mood of the whole "getting ready" process really low-key. I also really, really appreciated that when she arrived a bit early to the wedding venue (and I wasn't even there yet), she saw that my mom was laying out tablecloths in the reception area, and offered to help my mom while she was waiting for me to arrive. She didn't have to do that, but she's just that sweet! I would highly recommend Simply Serene, and I would also highly recommend Bri for your bridal hair services :). read more

I was in Texas for business last month before I moved here permanently from California. Jessica did an amazing job of not only coloring my hair where it needed retouching to match the color my stylist of 20 years had used in. CA. I talked to her about extension's being put on the sides where my length just never seemed to catch up. She applied them and everyone loved my hair when I got back to California. I'm moving here to Texas permanently now with my corporation and I know exactly where I will continue going for my hair. The entire staff is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. read more

I couldn't find the option for facials on the website, but if you call in to ask you won't be disappointed. Great service. Had an hour and a half facial yesterday. Didn't even know that was a thing, but I can tell a huge difference today. Got the full works and she catered each treatment specifically to what I needed, as opposed to just a one-size-fits-all sort of thing. Had hair done on Saturday for Wedding. The stylist was very nervous and we were very disappointed with the outcome.

Not happy whatsoever with the service of this salon. I originally made an appointment at 2pm for color. I receive a call around 1:30 saying they were running behind and asked if I could come in at 2:30 instead. I said no big deal and arrived at the salon around 2:30. I then waited until 3:15 with no update as to what was going on, if I could reschedule, etc. I waited 45minutes for an appointment. Very unhappy and will not be returning. I wouldn't waste your time on a place that clearly seems to not care about their clients. read more

Went in once and for the most part it went well. Made the mistake of going back and my hair really turned out horrible. It was patchy and uneven and although I specifically told the girl how to do my hair she still did whatever and it did not go well. I've never seen such a horrible style at the end and just sent me on my way. I thought maybe it was just me but I looked over and the other woman getting her hair done had a beautiful color, but it appeared they only styled the top of her hair. When she went to checkout it looked like a rats nest hiding under nice hair. I am upset I did not say anything, but I will definitely never return and will make sure my friends do not go here. read more

Really put a damper on my wedding day! So I booked to have my hair/makeup done for my wedding along with my bridesmaids, when I booked (6 months before my wedding) I requested a later appointment since my wedding was going to be in the evening. The lady on the phone said that wouldn't be a problem. 3 weeks before they tell me my appt is at 9am, despite my request. On my wedding day we come in and NO ONE greets us, I mean NOTHING WAS SAID TO US! The staff seemed as though they are annoyed with us being there. I couldn't have felt less welcome. My makeup:caked on and I could see ample amounts of makeup layered on my face! The girl said she needed to do it that way in order for it to stay "since it's humid and your wedding isn't till this evening". On the other hand my hair was beautiful but fell out before my ceremony and I had to re-curl it myself. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. My bridesmaids also had to re-curl their hair. If Hair and makeup is super important for your wedding day, you may want to look elsewhere. read more

I spent over 3 hours at Simply Serene for a manicure, massage and facial. Two of the three services were amazing! The massage therapist was not there regular therapist, but she was awesome and did a fantastic job. She found knots I did not even know I had! The facial was so relaxing and peaceful that I almost fell asleep. The most disappointing service was the manicure. $55 for a scrub, quick lotion and a paraffin wax was not what I was expecting. The website says it starts with an aromatherapy soak. Nope - nothing! I generally go to my local nail salon and for $20 I get twice the treatment! My advice is to skip the nails and focus on massage or facial. Those services were EXCEPTIONAL and well worth the cost. read more

I've been to simply serene for a simple haircut off and on for the last five or six years. Today I saw Souzie B and had an excellent experience. She gave me one of the best shampoo/head massages anyone has given me. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me precisely what I asked for. She explained the products she was using (which is normally done) but then went on to explain what each would do for the different parts of my hair. After she blew my hair dry, she styled it with beach waves using a curling iron and explained to me exactly how to re-create the look at home. I've had this haircut for the last seven years and nobody has explained in such detail how to get the salon look at home. Great salon. I'll go back to Souzie for sure. As a bonus, they have a ton of Kendra Scott jewelry out in the front. read more
