I am dissatisfied with Simply Shutters. It took over 3 months to have my shutters ( a set of sliding doors and a set on an adjacent window) which is very different from what is advertised on their website. "Don't wait get them immediately" "In stock" "No deposit required". I had to pay a 50% deposit and as I said it took 3 months to get them installed. And during the time I was waiting for my shutters the company was very difficult to communicate with. I called the main number for the company because their representative in Jacksonville never returned any of my calls when I tried to check on the status. The person at the home office promised me that they would get my request to my sales representative but I never heard back from either of them. A week after that call I called my sales person and actually got them on the phone. They checked and discovered that my shutters were being delivered to them that day and they could be installed a few days later. The installation crew was very nice and they did a good job on the installation. I was surprised to find out that the sliding doors were installed in front of my glass doors without any kind of guide track at the bottom. So essentially they hang from a track at the top and move in and out when moved and if it's windy and the glass slider is opened. The shutters on the adjacent window are fine and I am happy with them. I am mostly disappointed in the lack of communication from the company while waiting for my shutters and the very simple installation on the sliders without any type of guide at the bottom. TERRIBLE customer service. Product seems good & I saved $2000 but took 3 months to receive, ships from China. Unable to effectively track order status, unable to speak to person about this. Needed a service call, very difficult to reach a person. Once I explained my service need, I had to submit an email request. Then was told a person would contact me in TWO wks to set up an appointment. Four wks later, (never was contacted for appt), received txt that someone on their way but they NEVER showed. Rescheduled and was again a No SHOW. On 3rd attempt, service call was accomplished. Issue resolved by Christian & Ray who were very professional & knowledgeable. read more

After 8-10 weeks delivered shutters. Had to pay in full for balance even though one was damaged and they had to reorder. I called 9 weeks in and John said "so sorry I never do this I forgot to order the replacement. We'll go above and beyond for you and only make it be 5 to 7 weeks MORE". I asked for a price concession as I have to keep the charge open on my credit card and he said "we can't be responsible if you owe interest on your credit card". And I should have paid it off and had no recourse which I NOW NEED? They aren't going to deliver the replacement. They never intended to and is why they never reordered 9 weeks ago. They were hoping I would forget. But my husband is a contractor and let me tell you he won't forget. This issue will be all over the residential building world. I ordered my shutters in Feb and it was supposed to take 8-12 weeks. However, it took 16 weeks. There is no customer service. No one was answering my calls or giving me an update. The only respond to my emails was "check the status of your order in the website", but there was not much info in the website. Finally, after 16 weeks they scheduled to install my shutters . After the installation, I noticed an issue with one of the shutters and I tried to submit a service request through their website, but the website has issue and the requests do not go through. Also, you cannot get a hold of any one using their phone number. The only one who responds to the messages is Addison who is the one that does the measurement and is not responsible for the installation and repair. Ours do not so we ordered a style that allows us to still tilt in our windows for cleaning. We waited patiently as I understand sea container delivery . Shutters installed and really look nice however our front bay window 4 panels curved none of the doors close they are warped and only catch the frame top and bottom. I also think a little more care could have been taken with Magnets not aligning up.
