Have you ever gotten THE MACHINE??!!! Probably not, if you haven't been to Simply Skin in Little Italy. Owner, Lori Legaz, is the only esthetician in town with a Dermasound machine for ultrasonic facials. What's an ultrasonic facial? All I know is that I have to be grounded with a band around my wrist because of the electric current, but somehow by running this wand over my face and squirting water on me, she makes my wrinkles disappear. Granted, I'm only 31, but it got rid of the crease between my eyebrows. Did you hear me?! GOT RID OF THE CREASE COMPLETELY! My hubby even gave a big "Wow!" when he saw me and then said he wanted to go too. My face was glowing for about 4 days. I was impressed. But it wasn't just the machine. It was Lori- her technique, her knowledge and her own skin. She is ageless! Her face is a billboard for the skill in which she practices. Before going to Lori my skin had breakouts, was dull, and wasn't firm. It's been over a year and my skin is brighter, firmer, and no breakouts! Thanks to Lori and Face Reality products and peels I'm enjoying clear skin for the first time in 25 years!!! I first started having issues with acne when puberty hit and I used numerous medications and antibiotics to clear my skin. None of these products were healthy to take long term, so when I stopped taking them my acne came back. During my teen years I comforted myself by thinking that I would outgrow my acne by the time I reached my twenties...unfortunately, my acne never went away and even in my thirties I was battling cystic acne breakouts every month. I tried so many products, chemical peels, and saw several dermatologists who wanted to put me on an antibiotic medication or birth control to treat my acne; but after having a bad experience with birth control in the past (depression) I was hesitant to mess with my hormones. I have been seeing Lori for a number of years. This year I was diagnosed with cancer and am now being treated with a new form of chemotherapy - I take a dose a day. I am feeling pretty good however the drug causes lots of acne and rashes - I am going to Lori every two weeks or so for facials and moisturizing treatments. I started using the 302 products she sells and they are really helpful - very natural and based on avocado. I can't say enough how helpful this has been during my treatment!
