OMG. If you're in need of a self care day - this is the place. I got a 60 minute facial royale with Chelsea who was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Her hands were working pure magic on my very sensitive & acne prone ( & honestly very poorly taken care of) skin. She asked what my skin was like and what I am hoping to achieve and she put in the work for that. The entire experience flew by which was honestly sad because I never wanted it to end. Every detail of the process here is truly unbeatable. Upon check-in, Natasha who was at the front desk was very sweet & calming. She asked if I wanted to add any enhancements and I decided to add high frequency to my facial which was totally worth it. She then had me pick out an oil scent that was used to relax me both before and after my treatment & was placed on my chest to help me feel relaxed throughout the day. After checking in, Natasha led me to the waiting area and offered me a beverage and I gladly accepted the champagne. She also placed a heated lavender neck pillow around my neck which was so amazing I wanted to take it home. I had a few minutes there to unwind and get off my phone to truly relax and enjoy the session before meeting my aesthetician Chelsea. The treatment room was very relaxing with dim lighting, sound machine that wasn't too much and AN EXTREMELY comfortable HEATED bed. Like wow. I wanted to fall asleep but also wanted to enjoy every second of my facial. Chelsea had amazing recommendations for me and didn't make me feel pressured to purchase anything which is always appreciated, but she did work with my budget to find me a cleanser which I ended up purchasing! Fun fact: This spa is absolutely beautiful -- but in my experience, they do not put the customer first. Be aware: their rescheduling fee was applied twice ($110 total), even though I booked a single couples appointment. This experience has stayed on my mind for months, which tells me that, based on my own moral compass and my years of working in customer service (restaurants, retail, spa), something did not feel right about how this was handled. I hesitated to write this, but I believe honest feedback helps future customers. Several people I've spoken to in the industry were also surprised the spa charged me double. The situation: My partner and I booked a couples massage + facial for 8/18. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency the morning of and had to reschedule. I completely understand that last-minute changes impact staff schedules, tips, and availability -- I've worked in customer-facing industries my whole life. Here is the policy as it was originally written on their website/email confirmation: "Rescheduling within 24 hours of your appointment incurs a $55 charge." That's it. No mention of "per person" or "per service." I made one reservation, under one name, received one confirmation email, and logged into one booking portal. Because of this, a reasonable customer would assume the rescheduling fee would also be one charge -- $55 -- especially since couples services often function as a single bundled appointment. Instead, I was charged $110. When I asked for clarification, the Manager explained that the fee is "per guest, per service" because my booking involved two massages and two facials. Also that "the spirit of the policy has always been applied this way.." (which to me accepts the ambiguity part of this). While I can understand their internal logic, the wording of the policy simply did not say that. Even the spa acknowledged the wording "may have felt ambiguous." Fast forward: They have since updated their website so it explicitly says the fee applies per person, per service -- which is absolutely the right thing to do. But it's difficult to accept that I was charged double based on unclear wording, and that no exception was made despite that ambiguity being the spa's responsibility. Our actual visit: Since they emphasized wanting to "make our delayed anniversary feel special," I hoped the experience would reflect that. Unfortunately, it didn't. Even though we noted our anniversary multiple times in forms/emails, we were repeatedly asked what we were celebrating. I selected "deep tissue" in advance and again verbally at check-in, yet the massage felt more like medium pressure. Robes were hanging in the treatment room, but none were offered. Our "60-minute" massage was actually 50 minutes when I checked the time. It wasn't a bad service -- it just didn't feel elevated or personalized in the way they suggested it would or what the spa represents- luxury treatment and services. Combined with the double fee, it left a disappointing impression. To end on a fair note: The manager was kind and professional in their communication, and the spa itself is beautiful. I genuinely wish the experience had aligned with their gracious tone. But I don't believe a customer should bear the cost of unclear policy wording, and for that reason, I won't be returning. read more

This is a purchase that I never regret because every experience here is a true 5 star experience. The staff here is top notch and make your whole experience here a great one. I have the membership and get to come once a month for an hour service and this month was my birthday so I got an additional 1 hour service for free as part of my membership. I have been getting my massages done by Ali since I started coming here and they make my whole day better. I highly recommend doing the 90 minute massage over 60 minutes - once you do it one time you will never go back to 60 minutes. This spot is a little slice of heaven that I cherish each time I go. I was originally interested in a massage but they were booked for the day and I was leaving the next day. So I "settled" for a facial and it was such an amazing experience. Sorry, I can't remember the esthetician who gave me the Revitapen Royale - Nano Infusion Facial--she was fantastic. She asked me beforehand what my goals were and respected my idiosyncrasies (no direct steam/sprays over my face/nostrils). The bed cradles you like an adult bassinet and you feel super cozy. The treatment itself was gentle and relaxing and my tretinoin skin did not feel irritated afterwards. The spa is kind of in an unexpected area that isn't near anything particularly exciting for out of towners, but don't let that deter you from an exceptional experience. It's not one of those spas that have steam rooms, etc., but I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in San Diego again and will plan ahead for more treatments. read more

As embarrassing as I was, I started to feel anxious/claustrophobic for some reason with the hearing pads and blanket (which is a nice touch). Dorothy was amazing! She identified that I needed to cool down, made some adjustments for me and my experience was amazing because of her. So much that I went from anxious to almost falling asleep! Needed a massage and found this wonderful place on Yelp. They have great reviews and when we arrived they did not let us down. The young lady who greeted us was sweet and took great care of us. I didn't realize (I am sure my fault) that we did not need to come earlier than our 3 pm appt (we booked a 3pm signature massage). You just need to arrive at your allotted time and then you will have your massage a half hour later. You get to choose an essential oil for your massage and you can do add ons for extra $. I did the 10 min rosemary scalp massage ($15) and my husband did the 5 min CBD add on massage ($15). They take you to the back area and sit you down on their comfy couches/chairs. They give you a drink of your choice and they also give you a nice rose petal bath for your feet. The massage room was really nice. Very tranquil. The bed was so comfy too. My massage therapist was very good. I am very sensitive and do not like too much pressure and he was great. The only down side is my massage did not last a full hour. I also was not sure if the add on scalp massage was taken away from the 60 min massage or added on to it. It was not 10 minutes and either way, I was finished quite a bit before my husband and it was before the 60 minutes. Again, my massage therapist was good though. Regardless of this, I would def try this place again because it was a good massage and the experience as a whole was delightful. read more

I've been meaning to update this review for years (seriously years so hopefully it's changed since) but have gotten a lot of "helpful" clicks recently so figured it's time. After our first amazing appointment we scheduled our second appointment and were beyond' disappointed and embarrassed by the situation. We booked the appointment, received a confirmation, and showed up for the appointment. When we arrived the front desk girls (there were 2) looked up our reservation and said "we can't find you in our system" I said I had a confirmation email and they requested we wait outside while we pull it up since people were coming out of services and the waiting area is small. Weird but my husband and i agreed. Outside I pull up the reservation on my phone and notice them laughing inside. I go to open the door to show them my email and the door is locked. One girl comes to the locked door and talks through it without opening it saying they don't have us in their books and we need to leave. Please note we didn't yell or complain or even act annoyed as we didn't even think there was an issue yet. They absolutely refused to let us back in making us feel like criminals. When I asked about checking their calendar to see if there was a glitch and we were on a different day they said the computer system was now off for the day and they couldn't do that. They did offer to book us on another day (guess the computer would work for that) but as we were still locked out and being talked to like prisoners we declined. I did get charged a "missed appointment" fee that I disputed with my credit card. I'll never go back. Again, I understand this was years ago so hopefully reception is better now but I just wanted to provide a clear picture. read more
