OMG. If you're in need of a self care day - this is the place. I got a 60 minute facial royale with Chelsea who was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Her hands were working pure magic on my very sensitive & acne prone ( & honestly very poorly taken care of) skin. She asked what my skin was like and what I am hoping to achieve and she put in the work for that. The entire experience flew by which was honestly sad because I never wanted it to end. Every detail of the process here is truly unbeatable. Upon check-in, Natasha who was at the front desk was very sweet & calming. She asked if I wanted to add any enhancements and I decided to add high frequency to my facial which was totally worth it. She then had me pick out an oil scent that was used to relax me both before and after my treatment & was placed on my chest to help me feel relaxed throughout the day. After checking in, Natasha led me to the waiting area and offered me a beverage and I gladly accepted the champagne. She also placed a heated lavender neck pillow around my neck which was so amazing I wanted to take it home. I had a few minutes there to unwind and get off my phone to truly relax and enjoy the session before meeting my aesthetician Chelsea. The treatment room was very relaxing with dim lighting, sound machine that wasn't too much and AN EXTREMELY comfortable HEATED bed. Like wow. I wanted to fall asleep but also wanted to enjoy every second of my facial. Chelsea had amazing recommendations for me and didn't make me feel pressured to purchase anything which is always appreciated, but she did work with my budget to find me a cleanser which I ended up purchasing! All in all, I will definitely be back and am already dreaming about the next treatment I'll try at Spa Kingston! Thank you Chelsea, Natasha & Spa Kingston team!

Loved it so much! Definitely coming back for more!!!! Very relaxing and luxurious experience

I just had the best facial of my entire life! Makayla worked magic on my face. I was drooling and almost fell asleep like 3 times I was sooooo relaxed! Spa Kingston is a must try!!

I had a facial with Claire and it was seriously the best experience!!! The ambiance is serene and cozy . Claire took the time to get to know my skin concerns and curated what facial I would benefit most from. She is so skilled at her job and can't wait to come back !!! The whole staff is welcoming and it has all the touches of a 5 Star resort .

What a fantastic elevated experience. Had a scheduled massage with Dorothy. As embarrassing as I was, I started to feel anxious/claustrophobic for some reason with the hearing pads and blanket (which is a nice touch). Dorothy was amazing! She identified that I needed to cool down, made some adjustments for me and my experience was amazing because of her. So much that I went from anxious to almost falling asleep! The experience started with a spa water infused with CBD, a chocolate and then a rose petal foot soak. Plenty of time before and after to acclimate. My wife and I will definitely be back!

Needed a massage and found this wonderful place on Yelp. They have great reviews and when we arrived they did not let us down. The young lady who greeted us was sweet and took great care of us. I didn't realize (I am sure my fault) that we did not need to come earlier than our 3 pm appt (we booked a 3pm signature massage). You just need to arrive at your allotted time and then you will have your massage a half hour later. You get to choose an essential oil for your massage and you can do add ons for extra $. I did the 10 min rosemary scalp massage ($15) and my husband did the 5 min CBD add on massage ($15). They take you to the back area and sit you down on their comfy couches/chairs. They give you a drink of your choice and they also give you a nice rose petal bath for your feet. The massage room was really nice. Very tranquil. The bed was so comfy too. My massage therapist was very good. I am very sensitive and do not like too much pressure and he was great. The only down side is my massage did not last a full hour. I also was not sure if the add on scalp massage was taken away from the 60 min massage or added on to it. It was not 10 minutes and either way, I was finished quite a bit before my husband and it was before the 60 minutes. Again, my massage therapist was good though. Regardless of this, I would def try this place again because it was a good massage and the experience as a whole was delightful.

Aromatherapy of your choice, a drink (CBD water), chocolate and a cool lavender towel before my massage

They put us in a room together which we didn't ask for, like a couples massage, they just assumed. I asked for the masseuse to be more gentle when she started and I'm not sure if she understood me well because she wasn't that gentle. The worst part was the hot stones. They were too hot for the masseuse the handle but they tried to put them on us anyway. We had to have them remove it on our bill because they were too hot to put them on anybody or anything! They even left burn marks on my back. The spa is also covered in dust, the fish tank is disgustingly filthy, and had a musty smell in the rooms. They also refused to give a refund for the horrible service that was provided. The owner and employees will not take responsibility for their actions and inactions (see the owners response below). I have also updated my pictures with timestamps of the burn in question. I still have the mark 2 weeks later and it didn't show up right away, before we left the spa. I am also not from California nor do I live there to have the time to go back. I would never recommend this place.

Even though they share a large parking lot with the other businesses around them, it's very hard to find close parking nearby since they only have a few in front of their facility. Highly recommend getting there at least 30 minutes to an hour prior to your massage or body scrub time so that you can enjoy the wet area with the sauna and the Jacuzzis prior to getting your body scrub. The staff is where this place shines. Every single person we interacted with was kind, genuine, and attentive in a way that felt personal rather than scripted. Our therapists paid close attention to our needs throughout the 60 minutes, and the massage itself was exactly what an anniversary afternoon should be. To top it off, they surprised us with glasses of prosecco as we said our goodbyes. My only critique here was the locker room. Compared to other luxury spa experiences, the locker area felt noticeably small including the lockers themselves. The amenity offerings were quite basic -- shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a nail kit, and spray deodorant. Missing were the details that elevate a spa stay: shave kits, body lotion, face/hair products and toothbrush/toothpaste. For a property at this level, these extras matter. I believed the new owners were using the extra funds to upgrade the spa, buy new equipment and pay employees better, at least according to their emails. Sadly, there's been a rapid decline in the business. The spa now looks dingy and neglected, and there's a foul odor throughout. The quality of facial and massage services dropped so much due to the constant turnover that I had to stop coming altogether. I had been seeing Chelsea Bowman and the master facialist Ami Sheneman for years. Both left, and no one contacted me to let me know I wouldn't be seeing them for my next appointment. I only found out when I showed up and discovered I'd be seeing someone else. The new girl Kendall, bless her heart--she tried her best, but it just wasn't the same. On top of it when I asked the girls at the desk where Chelsea and Ami went, each time they looked scared and uncomfortable answering. For anyone wondering where Ami went: I found her! She's now at Pier to Point down the street at the other end of Voltaire. I've already been there and signed up for multiple memberships. I highly recommend you do the same. It's such a shame about this spa since it's been part of the community for so long. Edit in response to the owner's comment: Thank you for your response. I want to clarify that my review was written in good faith based solely on my personal experience as a long-time client of your spa. I did not create my account with any intention of coordinating negative reviews or promoting a competitor. I have never had a Yelp account prior to this, which is why it is new. I've also never left a Google review prior to this either. My intention was to share my honest disappointment about the recent changes and lack of transparency when my preferred practitioners left, which significantly impacted my experience. I understand privacy policies, but as a loyal client, I felt it would have been more considerate to inform me prior to my appointment that my practitioners would no longer be there, enabling me to make the decision if I wanted to see someone new or not. This would have allowed me to cancel, so I could continue my services with the professionals I had established trust with. I stand by my original review and hope future communication with clients will be handled with greater openness and respect. Thank you.

While I appreciate the management's attempt to rectify some issues, the current quality simply does not match the premium price point. My friend and I booked our treatments at specific times online to maximize our time together, only to be told days later that the times were unavailable. In trying to resolve this, I discovered the spa had also changed my friend's appointments without notifying her. It took a 45-minute phone call and multiple follow-ups before a director finally stepped in to provide a day pass and an acoustic vibration meditation session to make amends. While I was grateful for the gesture, the meditation beds were unfortunately quite uncomfortable and didn't live up to the "state-of-the-art" description. For a spa that charges $200+ just for facility access, the upkeep was surprisingly poor. There were used towels strewn about the common areas, overflowing trash in the bathrooms, and when trying to locate an unused locker, myself and the staff member assisting me had to open several before finding a robe. The steam room was barely functioning with minimal to no steam produced. A large group of women in the solarium was incredibly loud (screaming and laughing) for a long period. While I'm glad they were enjoying themselves, multiple staff members walked by and never once stepped in to maintain the quiet, relaxing environment guests expect. While not part of the spa itself, the poolside service was notably slow; my friend waited an hour for her food and had to rush through it before her treatment. We were served without utensils and had to wait several more minutes for a server to return. I have long considered this one of the top two spas in San Diego, but after this experience, the value is no longer there. Management's effort to make it right was appreciated, but a luxury spa shouldn't require that much effort from the guest just to have a basic, clean, and coordinated experience. I'll be enjoying the other local luxury spa options moving forward.

But when a special occasion arose with a group of girlfriends, I resigned myself and just handed over my credit card. Kyoko, the main spa attendant, greeted us warmly and showed us around. She was a friendly and helpful presence throughout our visit. I got the 60 minute relaxation massage, and it was worth every penny. My masseuse, Jasmine, was excellent, from the moment she greeted me to when the message was over and she bid me farewell with a tiny cup of their fresh-squeezed orange elixir and a warm towel. Speaking of towels, so many towels everywhere--all cloth. Nary a paper towel to be seen, even in the bathrooms. Their robes were fluffy and luxurious, and the slide sandals were nice quality, no cheap flip flops here. On our visit there weren't that many other guests (we did get there later in the day), so it felt very tranquil and private. We availed ourselves to the steam room, sauna, and whirlpool before and after our treatments, and hung out in the well-appointed ladies lounge with some of the available snacks: almonds, dried apricots, and housemate oat bars that were really yummy. It was a rare treat for me and I enjoyed every minute! Don't forget to get your valet parking validated before you go.
