Though I grabbed a bag of chocolate chips when checking out, I did need to try the Scotch Oatmeal Cookies. Okay, I put back my selection to get those. Turns out that one is the same family recipe combining oats, cinnamon, vanilla, and raisin paste to create a delicious, crunchy, one-of-a-kind oatmeal cookie that has been loved by customers for 100 years! Yes, the taste and the history sold me on them. Service was friendly and, for a cookie shop, the layout works well. Since they own Kermit's (next door) too, have a piece of pie to go with your cookies.

It's moist, it's light, it's rich but not cloying, it's super chocolatey and it's just the right amount to satisfy that chocolate craving.
