    Sims barbecue truck menu
    Sons of Salvation

Soooo I was on my way to get some grocery store lasagna and made a U-turn when I saw the beautiful Sims barbecue truck. Here are my good points. The truck is very welcoming and clean and the staff are nice and the menu was very legible, although it would be nice if the menu were bigger because I felt I needed to take a picture of it to look at it on my phone as opposed to walking very close to look at it on their truck. I like that they have buzzers to notify you when your food is ready, and it only took them about 5 to 10 minutes to have my order which I thought was great. Now onto the food. For $26 I was able to get sliced brisket with two sides a dinner roll and a can of soda or water which I think is a reasonable price these days with inflation. The baked beans were good with a little bit of sweetness, as you would expect with baked beans . The coleslaw was good and not over sweetened and I was OK with the less mayo as some like there's soupy. They served me about five slices of brisket, which I thought was pretty generous however, it was not tender enough for me. I am used to my brisket being Very easy to bite through, but this one was too tough for my liking so I chopped up the brisket into tiny pieces and stir fried with my own barbecue sauce. And about the barbecue sauce, the sauce was a little spicy, which I think customers should be warned in case they don't like spicy barbecue sauce and I think if you have a spicy sauce, you should also have a mild alternative. Lastly, which I see a trend in many barbecue establishments is that they don't serve cornbread, but serves either a Hawaiian roll or sliced bread. I think to give a good barbecue southern experience cornbread should always be on the menu in my opinion. Also, there was no mac & cheese or greens on the menu which to me are staple side dishes that should be available and concerning drinks sweet tea I think should be an option. I had a few other suggestions, but I will stop and wish these guys the best and since they've been around since 1937 sounds like they'll be just fine.

Catered to You absolutely blew it out of the water for my 165 person vegeterian wedding…read more We ordered Lasagna Blanca (asked them to cut the veggies small so kids would eat more) and it was soooo delicious. They delivered the food over 2 hours away (Meyers, CA) and it arrived perfect. My brother-in-law is a chef/restaurateur with 2 restaurants and he could not stop eating the lasgna, and was amazed at how affordable their offerings are, especially at that high caliber. My wife also asked the chef to make a recipe that was not on their menu (Marry Me Butter Beans). It was soooo good. My wife and I are both vegeterian and so we wanted a fully vegeterian wedding. Its not always easy to please non-veg guests when you're only offering vegeterian fare, but Catered to You was able to pull it off. One last thing- their timely communication and patience in dealing with my family was top notch.

The food was excellent and the staff were profession, charming and fun!! The bartender's did a great job with our custom, signature drinks. One of the things we liked best was the transparency of costs and menus on their website. All of the pricing, fees and upgrades are right there. There was no long sales process or delays waiting for proposals. They also had no issues with customizing menus. They were very flexible with dropping off and picking up rentals. We have no reservations in highly recommending Catered to You for your next event!!

This persuaded me to hire Hannibal's catering for my father's luncheon after his memorial service. Ordering is simple. Check their website for their menus and pricing, and pay their invoice. The attendant/server arrived ontime and set everything up specific to our color theme. She was very organized and helpful amongst our guests. She replenished drinks and kept the space clean. There are a wide variety of delicious food and desserts, they offer preset menus and pricing for a set amount of guests. Food was very good quality and worth their pricing. Dependable and a perfect choice for all your catering needs. I will definitely hire them again.

Working with Catherine to figure out the menu and logistics was great! This was my first time being in charge of throwing any type of event and Catherine was such wonderful help with figuring out all the little details. Hannibal's was also able to do a custom Asian menu for us including Thai red curry with beef, teriyaki glazed salmon, and vegetarian egg rolls. I think the only issue (but this may be an overall Sacramento-specific problem) is getting authentic Asian food catered. For instance, I did request spring rolls but they brought egg rolls instead. As a Vietnamese person, I know this is a common mistake other people make (egg rolls are the ones coated in egg-wash and then fried). Another unexpected thing was that the Thai red curry was made without any coconut milk, which is something I've never seen before. But I think that these issues could've been resolved had we been allowed to do a taste test beforehand. Additionally, the on-site catering staff and bartenders were very easy to work with and efficient at doing their jobs!

Amazing... no, better than amazing!!…read more Whatever is above amazing -- that's what this is. I'm telling you now, I will not be getting hibachi anywhere else for a long time. My family has had them cater multiple gatherings, and every single time it's been the highlight of the event. And yes, the hibachi show is fun. Yes, the professionalism is solid. But let's be real -- it's the food that separates them. I know people say hibachi is hibachi, but trust me... it's not. I love hibachi, and this is on another level. It took me right back to the first time I fell in love with it -- the flavor, the texture, the way everything is cooked and seasoned. It just hits different. And here's my advice -- don't wait until you have a big event to experience it. Track down their truck and go get a plate for yourself. Just make sure you get there early because there will be a line, and they will sell out. Also, check their Instagram before you go. If they're booked for a catering event, they won't be out, and you'll be stuck settling for something that's just... not this. Go try it. Then come back and tell me I was wrong. I don't think you will.

I cannot recommend this company enough!!!
