Avoid Sim's Buicks at all costs. I rarely leave reviews, but our experience here was so appalling I feel obligated to warn others. The Service Department is shockingly unprofessional and downright rude. If you dare to leave a negative review--even if it's 100% truthful--they'll retaliate by blocking your account. That's not just bad business, it's unethical. What's even more disturbing is the number of lawsuits filed against this dealership by their own employees. That alone should be a red flag for anyone considering doing business here. How this place is still operating is beyond me. Save yourself the headache. Was directly lied to about payment amount. Wasted almost 8 hours of my life to be told I was approved then be let down when I filled out paper work and payments were double what I was willing to pay. Had car trouble with my Nissan Rogue while traveling with my family, from Chicago to Connecticut on a late Friday afternoon. Found Sims service after a number of garages/reoair shops told us it was too late in the day and we'd have to wait over the weekend. We pulled into Sims after 4:30 and, even though I could see that were busy, they took a look at my car diagnosed the problem and had us back on the road in less than a couple of hours. Worst car dealership EVER. Service department and ALL. I started off going to buy a truck from there, but they told me that they had to hold my purchase and my Cashiers Check ( official check) for 10 days. Never heard of such garbage. When I was asking the questions, I was met with attitude from no other than the Owner,Sims. IDK what rock he's under, but it's 2024 & I no when I'm dealing w/bias. so I purchased my truck from another company. I went to them for service & not to be outdone by sales, the didn't disappoint. I was patronized by the mechanic, I'm assuming, however Megan, the service advisor , was instrumental in not holding up her end of the bargain by giving me an update after my vehicle had been sitting there from 8 am ( appointment time), till 1:30 pm. So I called got sent to voicemail. No reply so I called again @ 3:30. Voicemail once more so I told them to just leave the vehicle alone I'm coming to pick it up as is. Shortly after, Megan calls and said they are programming it & it would be ready. I picked it up the following day and the same issue happened again so I took pic of engine light, called and said I was on my way back in w/the truck. Once there, Megan looked and said, " so it is on?" As if what...? I left it and picked up the next day to hear that, Oh, you can drive it. I can't. It jerks, bucks and burns through gas, because the transmission won't change gears, as I initially told them. Not only that. I was told that they had to order a "valve body" and they have no idea when it would get there. I googled the genuine GM part and I could have had it delivered in one (1) day. If this is professionalism, I'd rather deal w/a novice. If anyone of color has experienced similar or inadequate treatment by these people, please chime in. After getting a recall repaired to my vehicle at this location, I noticed damage to my dashboard where the airbag was repaired once I was home. I then notified the dealership for compensation or repair to their damages. Although this facility did offer to review damages, it was decided because of dog hairs in my vehicle that I was trying to scam them. These people claimed me to be a liar and a scam artist. This dealership is an hour away from where I live. I contacted two individuals at this dealership. My intention was to lease a GMC truck. Since the trip was over an hour and I would have to take off of work and spend several hours there I asked for a price quote. One of the individuals did send me a payment calculator directly from them Sims Auto Park. They told me that they would have to evaluate my trade in due to the fact that I had positive equity in it. Once I got to the dealership they were eager for me to lease the vehicle. When we started talking about numbers their numbers had changed drastically. The salesperson tried to justify asking $300 over the quoted price by saying that the calculator that they sent from their dealership was a little bit off. $300 per month is a little bit more than a little off. Also he stated that all of their prices were GM employee prices. I never stated that I was a GM employee. I also had my trade in which had 7,400 dollars in positive equity to apply to my lease. The excuse was that taxes and fees drove the price up that much. The bottom line is they quoted a low price to get me into the dealership and then jacked the price up knowing that I had taken a full day off of work and driven an hour to get there thinking that I would not leave empty-handed and I would simply pay the extra $300 per month. Buyer beware. If you are local or you are a GM employee then this dealership may be worth it for the entertainment value. If you are coming from a long way or are not a GM employee then going to this dealership is a waste of time. I cannot stress enough that the prices they have on their website are not the prices you will get your vehicle for. read more

Do not let them fix your car!! I brought my car in for a recall repair and when I went to pick up my car....I noticed something different and couldn't figure it at the time. When I took my car to get washed, that's when I noticed the difference. Sims Buick put somebody else's tires/rims on my car...they aren't even the right size and when I called the technician said there was another Envoy here getting repaired. So, they switched my new rims and gave me someone's cheap rims that were scratched and ripped up. I told them I wanted the rims that I paid for with my Envoy SLT and they have done nothing...I have been having problems with those rims ever since and am still having problems with them. Sims is not a reputable dealership...the integrity of this dealership is nil....Go somewhere else! This needs 0 stars! As I feel they should replace my rims since they didn't make the situation right! read more

If i could give 0 stars I would. Never had a problem with them in the past and this pushed me over the edge with their service department. Went in for an oil change at 12 on a Friday sat there for 3 hours to find out they haven't even touched my vehicle and the technician went home! Had to take one of their vehicles which smelt very strong of cigarette smoke and it was a 2019! I had to leave MY vehicle there all weekend. Turns out they only did the oil change and tire rotation. Couldn't do the alignment cause I had to go to an actual Jeep dealership for them to do it?? That's a huge lie. And they couldn't figure out the knocking noise. Really hope they didn't intentionally mess anything up because I was extremely unhappy with them. Taking it elsewhere to get a full inspection. Safe to say I will NOT recommend them and I will NOT be going back ever again. read more

My tire pressure sensor was perfectly fine until I took my car in yesterday which is not even two years old yet to get a simple oil change and tire rotation and they expect me to pay $90 that is not fair I believe someone accidentally broke it because prior to yesterday my sensors-on my vehicle were fine and I take it in to get a simple oil change and tire rotation and now it's broken doesn't make any sense to me and then I called and spoke to the manager of the service department and got very rude and ignorant with me this is horrible customer service!! read more

I took my 2015 Encore in because it was "floating" backward when I had it in drive while I was on a slight upgrade. The first time the service guy said it was normal to do that. I disagreed. He had someone" look" at it and he told me he could find nothing wrong. He then stated if I didn't like his answer I could call the Buick customer assistance. I called Buick customer service in Detroit and the person there ( Andrew) was very nice and pleasant. He set me up another appointment with Sims. I took in my car and spoke to GEORGE, the customer service manager. He said he would take my car and drive it for a couple of days to see if it would do as I said and to bring my car back on Monday for him to take. He said I could have a car to use while he had mine. I went back Monday and asked GEORGE what he would do (plan B) if my car didn't do it for him. He said NOTHING. I asked him if he was calling me a liar and didn't believe me. He stated he had witnesses that would say he didn't. He then said what did I want him to do? I said look at the transmission( Like I know. I am not the service manager)He got a little irate and said he would not put in a new transmission( I never asked for that). I then asked if I could take my car to any GM dealer. He said yes. I left and am now considering taking it to another dealer. Oh, by the way, the car is still under bumper-to-bumper warranty until August 27, 2019. I am now bad mouthing this place to everyone I can! HORRIBLE! There's a reason why car salesmen and lawyers are a punchline. A customer traded their 2007 Pontiac G6 in as a trade on a new 2019 Encore lease. Salesman said the trade value was minimal due to the car (Pontiac) being in 2 accidents with 1 airbag deployment and the car will never sell (the airbag deployment disclosure law - salesman's words) and will have to go to auction. Sims is now selling that Pontiac for $7000. Profiteering at it's best. While I know trade ins are NOT at retail price - to tell a customer "Oh this is the best I can do because of the car's VIN history" then turn around and sell that car like it's a gem is just wrong. It's bad enough the Cortland dealership that sold the car 4 years ago never disclosed the accident details (Especially since the customer is a senior citizen). I do not expect Sims to do anything, as the transaction is over and done - just consider this a friendly warning - DO NOT trust their sales department to be fair or reasonable when dealing with your trade-in. read more

I've been to Sims Buick GMC a couple of times for both service and to purchase a vehicle and have had good and not so good experiences. I would give their service department at least a four, but their sales department about a two star... so we'll meet in the middle with an overall three star. The good aspects of the business has been that the service department has been professional and knowledgable in fixing any problems that have come up with any of my GMC vehicles, even if they were not purchased or leased there. Service appointments have been accommodating and reasonably done within a good time, and they have even offered to transport me back home and be picked up by one of their drivers if needed, for service that has been lengthy. They've been flexible to drop off my vehicle before hours or even making arrangements to pick up my vehicle after hours with no complaints. The lobby waiting area is clean with comfortable seating to watch TV, grab a coffee, snack, or flip through a magazine for yourself or the kiddos. The not so good aspects has come from multiple attempts to purchase a vehicle here. Though most of the employees are really nice, there's still a commission vibe that can be annoying, including being dropped like a hot potato if you mention that another person has previously waited on you, though they are no where to be found. I've also tried to shop with a specific year, color, make, model, and features in mind thinking that it would be an easy sale, but not so much. Though they could find the car at a different dealership and could swap some of their inventory, as they explained, to sale me that vehicle... actually contacting the dealership and making it happen with in a couple of weeks did not happen; causing me to just go online myself, find the car, and buy it the same day that I found it somewhere else. All in all a great service department with professional & knowledgable staff, but unfortunately lacking in the sales department in my experiences. read more

my wife Kathie, had a 2017 enclave. It would not start and had low battery. Since it was still under factory warranty, we had it taken to Sims Buick/GMC for repair. They replaced the battery twice(said first one was defective) and a new fuel pump module. While it was there they decided it needed the a/c system cleaned and advised it was covered under warranty. We then had to bring the car back twice after that because the a/c system did NOT work after they cleaned it! For the icing on cake, the lease was done and time to return car. We called them to see if we could return it there. they said sure no problem, only takes 5 mins and you dont need a appointment. Upon taking the car there, they refused to return the lease because we leased it originally at a dealer far away. Told us we had to return it there. Even tho it says right on lease paperwork and buicks website any dealer can return the lease. Sloppy and poor service work along with poor customer service. never again.... read more

Recently I had my car in for a remote start installation at Sims Buick. After the installation was paid for, I noticed my driver's door handle was broken. I returned inside and was told by several members of the service team that they would fix the door handle, but I would have to pay for the repair. Eventually I spoke to the owner, Bill Sims. Mr. Sims greeted me by asking if I had purchased the car from him. I told him I had not. He stated had I bought it from him, he would gladly repair the door free of charge. He offered to fix it at 25% off. I refused as there was no problem with the door handle prior to the remote start installation and the damage clearly occurred at the dealership. After it became clear the repair would not take place free of charge, I told Mr. Sims I would have another dealer fix the door handle and be forced to sue for the repair amount. He became instantly irate. He stated "you're trying to scam me". He then told me to get the F&^%$ out of his dealership. I maintained my calm as he berated me, humiliated me and shouted profanity at me in front of his staff and customers. At one point, he pulled a $100 dollar bill from his wallet and said take this and get the f*&^ out of here. I refused his money and left. I have used this dealership for repairs on numerous occasions on my previous car. When taking the thousands of dollars I have paid this dealership, I was never asked if I had purchased my previous car. from Mr. Sims. I am shocked and appalled at Mr. Sims' outrageous conduct and will not be returning to his dealership. read more
