After a trip to Myrtle Beach with five colleagues, we were preparing to drive back to Virginia when my 2017 Suburban developed a serious rattling noise. Stressed and unsure if it was even safe to drive, I went to Firestone on Hwy 17. At first, the front desk wasn't very responsive to my concerns -- but then Don, one of the mechanics, stepped in. Don didn't just glance at the issue -- he personally brought my vehicle into the bay, lifted it, inspected it thoroughly, and quickly identified the problem: bolts on the flywheel had loosened. He took the time to show me exactly what was wrong, patiently explained the situation in a way I could understand, and reassured me about what needed to be done. Not only did Don tighten the bolts, he also applied Loctite to make sure the repair would hold during our long drive back. Thanks to his quick thinking, expertise, and real compassion, we were able to make the journey home safely. Don didn't treat me like just another ticket number -- he treated me like a person under serious stress who needed real help. His professionalism, kindness, and dedication turned a scary situation into a manageable one, and I'll be forever grateful. So I decided it was time to replace it on my 14 year old car, especially with summer just around the corner. I made an appointment and returned the vehicle Tuesday night for an early appointment. By noon the next day it was completed. It works so well I no longer need to run my fan at full blast. Of course replacing the condenser and compressor isn't cheap- but it was a whole lot less expensive getting the work done before complete failure!

    STAY AWAY FROM BLACK'S unless you have more money than good sense…read more I'm not really a car guy, so when my Audi Q5 began making strange noise, I used ChatGPT to diagnose that I had a bad CV axle. I took my vehicle to Black's at 1201 Highway 17 S, North Myrtle Beach, and they confirmed that the CV axle needed to be replaced. Including labor, their quote was $2300. According to Kelly, the OEM part from Audi would be $1850, and the aftermarket part would be $1830. With this information, I went onto eBay and found new OEM axles for as little as $80. I then called two local auto parts stores, and their price was $230. One of the two stores gave me the name of a local mechanic who could be trusted. I reached out to the mechanic, and he said he could do the repair in one hour for $85. I immediately went to Black's and asked for my car back. I explained to Kelly that I found a much cheaper option. She looked me straight in the face and said she could not find that part for less than $1830. When I went to the auto parts store less than half a mile away, the guy there told me that Black's buys their parts from their store. My car is now repaired and working great again. So let me sum it up... Black's quote: $2300 Part - $1850 Labor - $450 My solution: $375 Part - $240 Audi bolts - $50 Labor - $85 I saved $1900!! Trust me when I say, I will NEVER even talk to Black's again. They will look straight into your eyes and smile as they try to rip you off.

    Ok back in May I brought my truck to the loris store to get my king pins done when I left my truck…read morei was told 2 to 3 days tops ok kool so 3 days go by still not done I was down for a total of 10 days lost 12000 just in down time not including 2200 they charged me even know I was down for ten days I still paid full price . So after it got done I picked truck up and it had little shaking didn't think it could be the king pins probably shocks you know since I just lost all this money survey they fix them rite ? Well boy I was wrong so week after I left shaking got worse so I said well maybe they didn't do the alignment rite well I brought the truck to best tire and what do you know the alignment wasn't done ok so fast forward 2 weeks shaking still bad I bring it to 5 different dealer ships and I change parts that didn't have to be changed we all know how shops are a bunch of con artists any ways 3 sets of steer tires new parts and fast forward to apr I brought my truck in to a shop in ridgeland sc honest men rite away they found out what my problem was they showed me it's you're king pins so 6400 dollars later as you guessed I'm pissed now all in all I am about 30000 in whole because this shop didn't do there job rite well after I left the shop I went in and spoke to Mike and his boss Brian I was respectful didn't cause a seen we had nice meeting and Brian said we will not leave hanging I don't know as far as how but we will take care of you we just need to investigate. We'll fast forward 3 weeks and I get a call from Mike and yup you guessed it supposedly Brian went to peterbuilt and all size and number s matched and what went wrong was lack of greeting so instead of admitting fault saying sorry we screwed up Brian goes back on his word they did not take care of me and they went as far as blaming me for not greeting them which I greesse once a week mind you ...so please if you are a customer or truck driver stay far away from this place as possible and if any one would like proof of what I'm saying I would be more then happy to send you videos and recordings of our conversation..blacks tires says there main priority is customers satisfaction putting a driver 30000 in the whole making him believe you were going do the rite thing and then put blame on me that should all tell you they do not care about any customer and if you don't listen to my story you will find out please by all means call me I will love to show proof if you aren't sure thanks izak venuti .....ps stay away from this store so you don't get ripped off ..and I will be making a video showing all proof of being screwed over on tic toc come and watch
